how to fix the booing: mute the videos, play any time of music you like and think fits well with Ultimate, enjoy the sport at its best. you can better feel how much these 2 teams respect each other ...plus Buzz Bullet's hammer montages are awesome to the right music.
What I have learned dont underestimate anyone for their short stature in ultimate. Thats what I love about the game short guys also getting the jump, reading, on the disc in the air and getting up there with the tall guys.
I love seeing Buzz Bullets play; it's so awesome that a team with quite a significant height disadvantage still make 3rd seeds at Worlds (I think). They just seem so ridiculously fast and mobile, with huge vertical leaps. Just, awesome.
You're right, number 6 did what he should have done. However, it was hilarious that he got booed by the crowd every time he touched the disc after that (isn't this in Seattle, too?). However, spiking discs is dumb. It is in no way like the bow. Spiking tacos discs and is just a dick move. Creative spikes (bow and arrows, elbow spikes) are slightly better, but straight up spikes like that just scream, "Gr, I am a man who likes to smash!" The bow was quite obviously a team camaraderie thing.
(Re: comments below by jointchief and luweeko) #6 was not being a jerk. What's he supposed to do? Wait around for the defender to put a mark on? No.
If you're wondering about Spirit of the Game, perhaps you should ask yourself why the Japanese player jogged out the back of the field and jogged back on the field and didn't seem to care about leaving his teammates playing 6 on 7. He has a responsibility to get back on the field and play D.
@1hass : "why the Japanese player jogged out the back of the field and jogged back on the field " - didnt you notice he only got so far out of the field because he did not want to injure anybody of the spectators? In any other case #6 would have a full right to run up the endzone and start playing. Here, he could have let the BB guy to at least walk his way through the crowd.

The booing is feedback for unspirited play. He deserved it. If you don't like it, go beat up the crowd.

mcfox, if you're afraid of a spike, don't play cometitive ultimate. The bow at 1:03 is the equivalent of the move at 6:34. Live with it.

I love the booing every time no. 6 touches it (for being a jerk) around the 6 minute mark.
