Well done documentally for capturing this video. Tony Benn is an amazing man - and like CraigMason1971 ~ I also live in Chesterfield and remember him being our MP. My mum had been told she would have to wait 3 years for an operation on the NHS (this was way back in the 1990s) or if she paid £1,000 she could have it done privately the next day. She was being crippled by the illness - she went to see Tony Benn and within 3 days she had the operation on the NHS. A truly amazing man.
I think this is actually a very fitting interview. A chap like Mr Benn deserves the respect of not being bled for his well known opinions on Capitalism and Forced Democracy, and your polite and non-intrusive questions only serve to better the man by showing how he embraces the freedom of internet journalism.
Thanks very much!
P.s. You're a lucky sod - I'd give my right leg for the chance to have a chat with him!
I'm 38 and have nothing but respect for Tony. H was our Mp in Chesterfield till he retired. I recall my 69 yr old mum's back fence being burnt down by kids. She asked the council to put a new one up but they refused. She wrote to Tony and she got her new fence in less than a week. The guy is a hero to many. Bless you Tony.!

you met tony benn an old labour legend who stood up against blair and bush against the war in iraq stood up against thatcher with closing the mines has stood up against all right wing movements and you asked him two questions about the difference between internet journalists and internet journalists so pathetic. what kind of a question is how do you feel about journalism on the internet hahah ask some real questions about real issues you pathetic punk
I had a minute of his time.. I asked a quick question to which i knew i would get a quick answer.. At this time the subject of the war was in the news everywhere.. Besides.. I went to Iraq myself to find out first hand and didn't need to ask anyone a one minute question.. What did you do?
What one person considers a 'real issue' differs from another...
I found this quite enlightening especially since its questions regarding the current media rather than Benn's political standpoint which is something you can find out from a click away on google whereas this stuff is genuinely new
The Planet needs more Tony Benn's

@Documentally You are one lucky customer. Of all the stations in London at that time in that place, what are the odds?
