Really expensive 7.62 is @ $1/round. The M134 fires between 30-100 rounds/second. Worst case, you are dropping $400 in that 4 seconds. More likely, it's more like $100, or @ $1,500 for a full minute on the "trigger". I'm sure bulk military surplus is even cheaper. The helo ride is probably more expensive than the gun time.

I have no real numbers to kick around but i know for a fact our military pays about 500$ per fnh-Scar when the retail on them is about 3000$ because they buy so many at a time.
