Chuck Smith taught that Jesus would return by May of 1981 in a number of his books and messages. When the May prediction failed the date was moved to December 31, 1981. Three of the books are documented here including Future Survival, Snatched Away, and End Times.

Jesus said be ready-if I tell you don;t worry Jesus won't come for at least 5 years so go have some fun, you've got plenty of time and He returns tomorrow whom do you think God would be more disapointed with.. Well sir, with all due respect, it surprised me for a moment that Smith will advise this woman to abort her unborn children.

Then, as I thought about it some more, I realized that is all you can expect from a documented false prophet like Smith.

I appreciate your enthusiasm on defending Smith, but I will place it into reading all the false prophecies of Smith. Trusting a doctor that he made the right prediction is preposterous.

@RedSun875 Being saved by grace means that through the atonement of Christ we are saved from hell, through the atonement of Christ we can be forgiven of and overcome sin. All are saved from physical death through Christ's atonement and those who except Christ and repent can be saved from spiritual death.

The biblical grace is FREE forgiveness from God that CAUSES you to live holy. Your mormon verson of grace is a heritical works gospel.

The doing of good deeds to the end likewise is not the means to salvation it is the result of it. Any other way of looking at it and you have a works false gospel.
