It is not impossible. Security checks are designed to find weapons and contraband, not alcohol level. Unless it is quite obvious, a drunk pilot would not be caught unless there was a random drug test or an incident.

Baggage check for illegal contraband is the law and depending on your country of flight, must be carried out before anyone boards the plane.

That's the case with my airline at least, not sure about other airlines.

anticyclone, u wouldn't even have noticed it, crosswind landings are very common, since most airports don't have many airstrips in different directions. on approach the airlplane always moves about, so unless it's really a heavy crosswind, one wouldn't notice it from the inside of an airplane. Perfect crosswind landing, crab into the wind, that means you are angled to the left as in this video. This gives you max control and allows a slightly higher approach speed. Then right before touch down, you take out the crab angle and lower the left wing into the wind a tad right rudder and a perfect landing. A good briefing is in order on Business Jets, the airlines, everybody just shuts up. Perfect landing

there GOM states they must use the crab into the wind for crosswind drift on final rather than the wing down method, if you put the wing down it may hit the ground so for most Boeing planes crabbing into the wind is preferred, that was a great landing, I think he was a little long on the glide slope but I do not fly 747's so maybe that's were there supposed to land
