I have a grey squirrel a rescue... They are very sweet but there nails... He let's me cut them but still are Sharp. He is very active and loves to play. I love my squirrely wirely ;)

hey,

i am currently taking care of two juvenile eastern grey squirrels. As far as i know they dont make this sound unless they are in distress.i know that squirrels are extremely vocal and their chuckles can mean many different things, just as the pur on cat. To those watching it, squirrels will not put up with something that they do not enjoy. If this squirrel was in distress, it would try every way to get out of his hand which would be evident in the video. there is a valid opinion for you.

OK, for all you retards out there who think this squirrel is in some kind of distress, it's not. It actually enjoys what I'm doing because it is "teething". They do it to each other. You can see him pulling my hand in because he wants more. Squirrels are very vocal animals. Go do some research before you jump to your retard conclusions.

@floydwebtube Yes, I have four orphaned squirrels living with me now. They are very affectionate and vocal. The gentle nipping is how they groom each other. They hold the others fur in their hands and gently tooth it looking for bugs or anything stuck in the fur. If a squirrel likes how you pet him/her, they will groom back like this. That squirrel is DEFINITELY not in any distress. They have a powerful bite, even at that age, and are not the least bit afraid to use it when they are very scared.
