@RobinSchouten yes real, this lens has 20cm focusing distance and this is measured from sensor plane.. so when extended, you can focus like this.

@RobinSchouten  its always the focusing distance from sensor / film :)

Because every lens has different length (+changes during zoom or focusing), so it would be unusable to compare, if MFD would be taken from last element or somewhere else :)
