no offense to bird lovers or anything, but knowing my patience with birds, if I ever had one bite me so many times it would end up right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy in a heartbeat. Don't get me wrong I like birds too, but if I keep getting my fingers bit off because of it then that draws the line. xP
@mcgiggity69 That's why bird owners don't just "let" their birds continually bite them. If you actually know what you're doing, you'll know how to stop the behavior.
@pcred566 I never meant to imply that I would just willingly let a bird bite me on purpose. I've just always had bad luck when it comes to handling birds. My great uncle used to have a cockatiel that would bite anybody that tried to pick him up. he wasn't as bad of a biter once you managed to get him to pirch on your finger and take him out of the cage though, but getting him out was the hard part because he would hiss at you just when you got near his cage.
@mcgiggity69 He was cage territorial, then. The behavior can also be stopped. =P That's unimportant. But either way, I get what you mean. It's just that the way you said it was very strange.
@mrfish40 Yes, umbrella cockatoos can bite really hard. I almost had a finger removed by one one time, one I had been around and petted and never gave any indication she would bite until she chowed down on my finger. Brought tears to my eyes, they have tremendous bite pressure.
Parrots can sense fear, when they do they take advantage of that with intimidation and such, she was afraid and he knew it so in his mind he felt he was the superior of the two.
Aww what happened to him? and you totaly should. oo Just cause hes not around doesnt mean others shouldnt find that "he doesnt bite' video any less funny.
OMG that was your bird?????? i had that feeling!!!! i found this video before and i thought it was HILAROIUS! and till now i found it in your videos and realized it was it!
George was my mothers bird really. He doesn't actually live in our house anymore. I was going to remove this clip, but it still cracks me up. Emily is so funny!
lol thts lke my Amazon WIlf...he hates everyone except my husband John who he is a big baby for....he climbs down his cage n terrorises our feet by runnin at them n tryin to bite them lol...then he gets to my husband n just climbs up onto his lol...he is gorjus tho n will occasionally (when he is in the mood) let us tickle him thru his cage. Our 2 greys are as cuddly as anything tho lol.
Lmao omg that is so funny... I get that reaction from my parrot ALL the time, chases me round the flat... so good to see it happen to someone else! lol
Why do these spam URLs keep getting dropped into random YouTube comment threads? Don't these spamming morons know we actually have a "report spam" link now?
I knew it! I recognized that stalking behavior a mile away! lOLOL. They are so darned manipulative. Tricky. If they were talking they'd be going, "Comere little giiiiiirl"
It's funny to see that happen to someone else! LOL!! I've had that happen, only she got me good! I had a macaw that decided to bond with my son and therefore she hated me when he was around. Her door was always left open and one day, she decided that she wanted a piece if me! I still have the scar! LOL!

This is not my parrot. My mother was fostering this bird. And yes, cockatoo's have over 300 lbs of pressure in their beak and can cause major damage.

Cockatoos don't just attack for no reason. This bird is feeling threatened. It is not funny and is not fair to the bird.
