Better than that, get a place in the country, fence in the yard--and turn them loose, while you're still INDOORS letting them figure it out. Your kids will love you for it, & you'll be so much less stressed when you're (a) not hearing "gagga-goo-goo" 24/7 you get a break from it and (b) when you realize that the odds of them being kidnapped is about as likely as striking oil in your back yard.

This was GREAT! When I take my 3 and 1 year old out to play and explore they make me feel as if I've had them locked up and they've broken free!!!! LOL But that's just how awesome nature is. And how can we truly learn to take care of the environment if we never get to know it.
