I think you're still a bit confused on how to use it. With "renoise doesn't let me configure the note keys :( " you mean to set which key on your keyboard represents which key of a piano keyboard? Or do you mean how to assign a certain sample to a certain key of a certain instrument? Because that's possible.
I'm not confused. Trackers, in that they traditionally utilized your computer keyboard (not a controller) would typically have a key scheme in it which you used to input notes into the patterns. Most were hard-coded, but people got used to the layouts of their favorite tracker, and would be very unproductive in another environment without these presets. That's why in most modern trackers, they let you reconfigure the layout. As of the last Renoise I used (1.9?), it didn't do this. :(
*and in fact, if I remember correctly, it is hard-coded to utilize key presets most similar to Fast Tracker II. You can reconfigure a lot of key combos, but the note keys themselves as I remember it remained completely unmappable (including note-cut and note-off signals, which are in a different place for every tracker)
the most powerful tracker I can't even track with. I'm not going to lower my expectations for a product that they're making money off of, not when MPT does a fine job already :\
Wait - disregard this comment. I just noticed the "2005" on the picture in the video. At first I was looking at the video description and because I couldn't find it there, I decided to ask.
As I understand it, a suspension is where you have a chord, and then you transition to another chord which has mostly the same notes, except some of the notes have been transposed one or two semitones down. I'm not good with music theory though, so I'm likely wrong.
But anyway. The suspension in this song that I'm referring to occurs from 1:15 to 1:21. Also, the bass in this song is great - very catchy.
i like it! not sure what this has to do with Streets of Rage tho? somebody know?

If you're really interested in trackers I recommend you'd check out Renoise if you haven't.

Yes it was a bit intended to use with a keyboard.
Well... piano keyboard that is. ^^

that doesn't even make sense, if it's supposed to be a music tracker. That's not why people use trackers at all!

I wouldn't criticize the whole program just on that. It is the most powerful tracker.

By the way, I like the suspension in this song. I always like suspensions in songs, and I like it here too.

what's a suspension? I kinda suck at musical terms somewhat xD
