@MrBogan1000 do they have hamachi too? they need to if they don't and when they do they need to join the network you created and use that ip to connect. plus you need to have the server.exe open too hope this helped

Anyone with the problem "unable to access jar file (name).jar" just edit the .bat file by right clicking and press edit make sure the name is same after that just CTRL+S to save it and try again! hope it works :)

I know probably 1,000,000 people have asked the same question before me, but I've looked through your directions, and still can't get past an error: It's the -unable to access jarfile craftbukkit-1.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jar­- error, and I've made sure that the file has .jar behind it, as my laptop is set up to see files of this type. I've already changed the path in server_starter_diy.bat to \java.exe as well, so I'm sort of in a rut. Could you share some ideas, please?

try localhost (Entered into the address field), that'll do it for your pc, for pcs in your local area network you should try going onto your start menu, clicking on run, typing into run the word "cmd" and then in the command screen type "ipconfig" (All of these commands without quotation marks of course)

from there read under what is probably named "Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection" (It may vary) and take down what it says for "IP Adress...................:"
