This is not a "clinical" message about children with bi-polar disease; its a manifesto. A gritty, right to the point, let me drag you along and show you how that child feels explanation. I wept: a hard-boiled, calloused, tough, experienced retired law enforcement officer and teacher with a grandchild who suffers from this thief of innocence and youth.
This video showed what it is but not why it happens and what to do about it. Being aware is only the first step in recognizing, but then you have to look at what happened to the child to make him/her be like this. I'll bet that there's an emotional issue usually caused by the family that started all this in the first place--rejection, abandonment... I'll bet A LOT of money. Why? Because I've experienced it first-hand and have seen it so much. And getting off the crap "food" for the other 10%.
why is it that bi polar disorder only seems to be an epidimic in america? Most other parts of the world dont see a 1000th of the cases that we do per capita here in the states. Is it because were so damn lazy as parents and give our children everything they ever wanted so effortlessly that they cant function when they don't get what they want? And why now? Why not years ago didn't this happen? My answer? Because we stopped whoppin our kids asses and rest of the world didn't.
