Just don't get the diamond. If you skip getting the diamond, you skiip those irritating blocks. :D

The diamond sucks at 45 degree angles off of surfaces. Up to three diamonds can be sucking on the screen at once.

Yeah, it is pretty cool. If there were more boss fights, this would be more useful.

I think the trick with those blocks is you jump as they are rising, which gives you a slight vertical boost. Those times you made it across by not stopping, you hit all of the blocks as they were rising.
