  • Exactly! Thanks to NBA 2k8 I discovered J Dilla, NBA 2k9 had a song with MF Doom on it.. I mean video games are the reason I listen to classic artists such as Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Common, and so on..

  • how can you dislike this song! this is hip hops finest!

  • I am deeply moved... once upon a time the hip hop...

  • The golden era reloaded!!! the quality and messages are no longer appreciated. The future of hip hop has,& will continue to decline. What once was an underground rail road for young urban america has now become audio crack!!! It's fucked up and never comin back. Our youth today have no soul because its taken out of the music for a reason. Without knowledge of self and history the mighty dollar always cons people out of the truth. Mental slavery lives in todays media and accepted lifestyle.

  • @jfonixx if people would support artist who are legit and go buy there albums we wouldn't have this issue the issue is that legit artist have 2 sell out because mainstreams are the only ones who sell albums so if the reall hip hop crown down buy the shit than we cant really talk

  • A 4-way tie for #1 Pete Rock & Primo The Golden Era of HIP-HOP.

J Dilla & Madlib The late 90's and on... and a lot more technical than the first two. Any doubts do you research before responding.

  • @b3creed not true look at your local radio stations ull b surprised by whats on there

  • 22 people are... nvm lol

  • 21 people must be from Uncle Phil's fake accounts.

  • @FBIagentNinja 21 losers, they wanna back off, seriously...

As a house man I love JJ to the bone. Great sounds, all sensible lyrics and brilliant ideas.

  • DJ JAZZY JEFF & C.L. SMOOTH OMGGGGGGGG!

  • Fuuunkkeeeey! I'm feelin it and it don't matter if you don't; It's too bad if you can't.

  • question, this song is listed as being on Jazz's 2nd album, but I coulda SWORN this song came out in '02 with his 1st album. It's just trippin' me out how this was listed on his 2nd album...

  • @PeediSigel nah, it was on the second album.

  • @triXXareN Yeah, but I know I originally heard this back in '02 when the 1st magnificent came out. Maybe it didn't make it to that album, I'm not sure, but I know I've heard this song before '06/'07

  • @PeediSigel You could be right. The Magnificent didn't have many Jeff beats, Kev Brown mainly produced all of the joints. Magnificent 2 is much more personal, and Jeff produced the whole thing.

  • it took me 6 secounds b4 i favd!

  • One of my favorite songs from the 'Magnificent' albums...

  • i dont get how you can dislike this stuff it must be people that like rock music or something fucking idiots

  • He sure knows how to mesmerise the mind with those dope bassline. And C.L. Smooth, where in the world is he now? Is he gonna let his dope flows die out on us, huh? I am loving this.

  • am back!.. lol... can't get enough of this track... absolute beauty!.... perfect music to study to....

  • In the past 3 days, i've seen this over 50 times..... and counting.... i love hiphop!!!! I have a radio show coming up in the next couple of months.. and you bet your bottom dollar there would be no commercial bullcrap on my set!!!! true hiphop still lives!!

  • kobe bryant 3 points!!!!

  • I guess since CL ain't cussin' up a blue streak, you say this ain't no good. NOT!!!

  • @emile1914 It's the stuff they put in red meat that makes it taste good.

  • How can ppl dislike such kind of ART. Beat & lyrics are high class stuff !! High 5 to all who love this tune. Peace !!

  • @seboufdu59 What about DJ lord, and Terminator X?

  • @seboufdu59 WOW, im actually impressed at your Top 25. A very legitamate list, except that having J Dilla at #1 is pure fanboy, he should take Nottz spot at 6... nottz is questionable to even make this list, and I would personally have 9th wonder a little higher but that's because he's my personal favourite. Still, very legit list.

  • @nicertyap - why i put Dilla first is because i think he's the best beatmaker but in fact he's probably TOP 5 for everybody who knows hip hop.

  • @seboufdu59

    wheres kanye west ?

    swiss beats ?

    just blaze ?

    trackmaster ?

  • @TheTripleGod - on the second half of the TOP 50 :)

  • @seboufdu59 ahh, lol

    oh i forgot NoID

  • @seboufdu59 how do you feel about Warren G, BuckWild, M-Phazes (good gracious), Damu Fudgemunk (Y Society), NickWiz (produced for shabaam sahdeeq), Memo (MoleMen), Organized Noize (outkast), Rhettmatic, late 90's/early 2000's Alchemist, and Kutmasta Kurt?

  • @seboufdu59 oh and i can't forget the 2 best caucasian producers in hip hop who are j-love (annoying but talented producer) and marco polo. Bronze Nazareth affiliated with wu tang should also have an honorable mention.

  • @seboufdu59 no alchemist no sid roams

  • @seboufdu59 i dont nujabes in there :P

  • @seboufdu59 F THAT. 9th Wonder before Dre, Finesse, Muggs and Havoc? get outta here.

and where the is NICK WIZ on that list??

JayDee is DEAD and never comin back. Preemo and Pete Rock are still makin fire. Hell, friggin Pete Rock infuluenced Dilla's sound!

  • @LaLaGrunge Jay Dee is only fella to outgrow his influences. thats like saying 'friggin Marly Marl infuenced Pete Rock and Prem sound. Jay Dee, Prem and Pete are the top 3. don't know who's first but you gtta check out Jay Dee's discography n his beat tapes. he's got more beats that Pete Rock and Pete has been doin beats since the 80's... that saying something. Finnesse and Havoc haven't been the same since the 90's and thats the truth. Dre plains sucks now (listening to the new shit).

  • @LaLaGrunge Correction. J Dilla passed. You say Rest In Peace(R.I.P). J Dilla's music still lives and is actually the influence of the producers that influenced him. Matter of fact every other debatable top 10 producer except Dr. has admitted on record that Dilla is the best. Even rappers: Busta will tell you. Common will tell you. Pharrell will tell you. Questlove will tell you, Q Tip will definitely tell you Primo will tell you. Pete Rock will tell you. Even Jazzy Jeff.

  • Smooth as silk

  • this track was on NBA live 08!!!. classic throwback track here!!.

  • I cannot comprehend how hip hop has become now days theses sounds are still relevant and loved by the hip hop community why don't we hear the classic stuff more!??!!?

  • @shmelve Cuz it wil disrupt the market as it is today. Cuz artist with knowledge will not be used like they using the new artist nowadays.

  • Were is nice and smooth now. Good song my girl don't like it though

  • @HCGism man, if i cut this on my girl would think it was a different language i still love her though

    ill beat

  • Dis has got tha gr00ve

  • This song is soo chill. Love smoking to this jam.

  • yeah nba live 08 thats where this is from.....its like the theme song in the practice arena.......ea games may be lacking quality in the gameplay but the soundtracks have been phenomenal for the most part throughout this decade.....they have some of the most underrated songs on their games.....real rap music this decade found on the damn video game not the radio...what the fuck

  • @big973e no one gets tracks from games you muppet, shows you now fuck all - all you know is nba live

  • @youcunt11 i was sayin that most video games that have rap music have real songs.....the bullshit on the radio these days will never be found on a video game unless its like a mmorpg like gta which has only two or three "iffy" songs on there

  • @big973e true words bra

  • i'm just an ordinary man.. with an un-ordinary lifestyle

  • can anybody suggest cool songs like this?
