  • the graph shown is not correct and it doesnt say where it is from, what study is this and for what countries, it doesnt talk about how polio popped up in places it didnt exist before AFter the vaccine was introduced and how there was a peak in cases after the vaccine was introduced even though polio was going down naturally and went away completely on its own in countries where they didnt vaccinate at all.

  • @sereneyoshiko 1/2: The graph is absolutely correct. It is clearly labelled as being Australian statistics. The source of the information is:

    Feery B. One hundred years of vaccination. Public Health Bulletin 1997;8:61–63;

Feery B. Impact of immunisation on disease patterns in Australia. Medical Journal of Australia 1981;2:172–176 with deaths recorded for 1966–1975 and 1996–2004 updated with data provided by AIHW Mortality Database.

  • @sereneyoshiko 2/2:

Polio was most certainly not "going down naturally", aside from a huge spike in the USA in 1952, Polio was trending upwards at an alarming rate before the vaccine was introduced. The ONLY countries where Polio has been eradicated are countries that vaccinate.

Any more demonstrably false anti-vaccination propaganda you'd like to invent, or are you done now?

  • what about Dr. Maurice Hilleman, who admitted to telling his bosses about the SV40 cancer virus in polio vaccines and they told him to shut up. Then they gave millions of people the vaccines with SV40 in them after they knew about it. Shows how much Merk cares about human life. You can't deny the facts man.

  • @melissacarl2002 Speaking of facts, how about you find some? 1/ SV40 was discovered in the Polio vaccine in late 1960 by Hilleman and the vaccine was withdrawn in 1961 as a precaution. 2/ Since then, it has been shown that SV40 does not affect humans and there is absolutely no difference in Cancer rates between those people who received the Polio vaccine 55 years ago Vs those who didn't. Meanwhile, the vaccine has saved millions of people from Polio suffering and death.

  • Great video! My mom told me about getting the polio vac when she was a child (she was born in 1946). She was one of many "human testers" as it was the first time this particular vac was used on humans. She knew other kids who contracted polio and either died in childhood or suffered paralysis. I'm thankful she was not one of them. Whether you vaccinate yourself or your kids, please research and do what is right and take responsibility for your decision whether it be positive or negative outcome.

  • 0:03. In 1% of all reported cases.

0:08 For the 90% of people that show no symptoms and recover from the disease with no problem, a cure is not really needed.

0:13 No, they were not. Again, 1% of people that contracted the disease needed this, and usually it was only the wealthy that had access to this equipment.

0:34 No, it is not. It was stagnant. Vaccinating increased the number of cases, why wouldn't it?

1:05 No, it was not. The epidemic started after vaccinating began.

  • @bweazel

0:03 So a 1:100 mortality rate is nothing to worry about?

0:08 So a disease that kills or paralyses 10% of those infected is nothing to worry about?

0:13 Yes they were. Check your history. Speak to someone who was there.

0:34 It was nowhere near stagnant. One needs only look at the figures to disprove such rot.

1:05 Again, you need to check your facts.

In summary, if you actually believe the tripe you've written, you've been brainwashed by the antivaxxers. Check your facts.

  • @VaccinateYourKids No, 1% of cases is not good enough for me. That's a risk some people are willing to take, especially if you're asking them to be the test rats to risk getting sick, so future generations don't have to suffer the inconveniences they did. Look at it this way, vaccines are not safe 100% of the time, people acknowledge there is some level of risk. So why force people to take one type of risk over another, shouldn't they be allowed to choose? Who are you to choose for them?

  • @bweazel You need to study up on risk management. The adverse event rate for the polio vaccine is minuscule (about 1:1,000,000 for a serious event), while the risk of death from the disease is 1:100. Think about that. Nothing in life is 100% safe. There is risk in driving to the shops or getting in the bathtub. People are not forced to vaccinate (at least not in Australia). It's optional and over 93% of children are vaccinated. 93% of parents are apparently better at assessing risks than you.

  • YOUR A LIE STUPID ASSHOLE.... VACCINES ARE POISON YOU ZOMBIE SHEEPLE.

  • @MissREALness Thanks for beautifully illustrating the state-of-mind of the anti-vaccination movement.

  • Why are there thousands of views for crappy anti-vaxxer bullshit videos, and only a couple hundred for good factual videos like this one?

  • @ChurchOfArceus Because, sadly, bullshite flies further and faster than truth.

  • Great video. *****
