Yes, the turnouts were home built. They were fixed in one position with no moving blades and worked very well for about 8 years. The whole line has recently been rebuilt, to the same layout, but with switchable turnouts. These are also home built, soldered on copper clad sleepers. Most are sprung to give the same directional function as the old ones, but do allow for changing route as necessary.
Verry intersting Layout. I like thoose turnouts :) Are they home made?
