  • M: Your friends will die if you don't!

    S: John?!

    M: Not just John. Everyone.

    S: Mrs Hudson?

    M: Everyone.

    S: Lestrade?

    M: Everyone!

    S: You?

    M: .......Shit.

    XD

  • Am I the only one who was ridiculously happy that Lestrade was one of his friends?? I mean we all know about John, jeez friends doesn't cover it.

  • Oh god, the noise Moriarty makes when Sherlock jolts him :'D

  • Aww...Sherlock does care about Lestrade!

  • @Whiplashx92 God, I love Jared Harris too!

  • JOHN'S NAME FIRST

  • If Sherlock's a freak (according to Donovan of course), then WHAT IS MORIARTY...? :O

  • The way he says "You're just getting that now" clarifies the fact that Moriarty is very similar to the Joker.

  • I like to think Jim left out Molly just cause they dated for a while. Lol I just wanna see how he was with her, just for the few times they went out. I bet he was sweet to her, with his faux london accent XD

  • Andrew Scott >>> Jared Harris

    Simple facts.

  • My heart broke when Sherlock immediately thought of John when Moriarty said his friends would die.

  • Seems Jim missed Molly.........big mistake.

  • Sherlock-Your insane

    Moriarty-Your just getting that now?

  • I think it's very interesting that the first person Sherlock is worried about being in danger is Watson. He is his only friend in the world and he would rather die than see him hurt

  • Moriarty mustnt have been afraid of heights. A very daring thing to do.. to not hold on to anything.

If Benedict let go... oohhhhh sh*t

  • "You're just getting that now?" - BEST LINE IN THE SERIES

  • Unfortunately for Moriarty, he didn't count Molly moving into Sherlock's "friend" list.

  • @amithedoctor absolutely right there

  • since when was lestrade sherlock's friend?

  • @Nujjitoza since Conan Doyle made it so in his books.

  • @Nujjitoza A line earlier in the episode is John telling Sherlock "Looks like you've still got some friends on the force." after Lestrade calls to tell them they're coming to arrest him.

  • Maybe Jim still liked Molly.. that's why he didn't include her.

  • Yea, I like to believe Molly is a friend of Sherlocks, but there's no way he could have mentioned her name if he didn't want Moriarty's assassins on her trail. Afterall, she's the one that most likely helped Sherlock fake his death right?

  • could you please upload the part where John and ms Hudson stand at Sherlys grave and John says how angry he is, and then Hudson starts mentioning all Sherlocks bad habits and John says that he is not THAT angry? couldn't find that video anywhere

  • I believe that Sherlock left out Molly on purpose. I mean he told her that she counted. Maybe it's some sort of foreshadowing... so we actually really know that Molly helped him. I don't know this sounded much better in my head. v.v

  • 3 bullets....John, Ms. Hudson, Lestrade.....what about Molly?

  • 0:04 It's official. He is a Loony Toons character.

  • "You're insane!"

"You're just getting that now? Whoa-whoa-whoa!"

    Just so sexy...

  • He didn't count Molly. But, unlike Sherlock, he never realized that mistake....

  • Moriarty wouldn't dare to touch Mycroft...

  • If I was Sherlock, when I came back I would act real buddy buddy with Donovan and Anderson. This way if this happened again they would get killed instead

    No big loss there

  • @kristalfc106 But.. But... Without Anderson, who will Sherlock make fun of? Sure he can make fun of everyone else, but only Anderson really gets the full brunt of his super sarcasm!

  • @Acsuperman72 You pose an intresting question. I do love me some Anderson insults Hmmmm....these are the kind of questions that keep me up at night..

Well we have to sacrifice some people and I don't think Donovans enough. Sherlock might have to go friend hunting for some annoying people just so we can keep Anderson

  • Andrew Scott's accent makes him say Jawn

  • I find it interesting that Mycroft is not mentioned here. Either Sherlock doesn't care (unlikely), or he figures he can take care oh himself. Or maybe Sherlock worked it out that M had a big hand in his downfall. Curious.

  • 0:03

That's my new text alert :D

  • Jawn D: NEU NOT JAWN.

  • I think he 'died' basically for John<3

  • Oh, and what about my brother? Na, you can kill him. :-p There's probably no way of getting to Mycroft anyways.

  • I look at this video... I see Batman and the Joker.

    I just do.

Especially the,"You're insane," "You're just getting that now?" even more so as Sherlock's voice is all low and Batman like.

  • I love the little "WAH AH AH" Jim says when Sherlock almost drops him.

  • So Moriarty thinks Sherlock only has three friends

  • Forever flailing over the way he immediately says, "John."

  • "Everyone..."

    "Molly?"

"Molly? What do you mean Molly? Haven't got a bullet for her... Let's just call the whole thing off!"

  • I love how "everyone" is John, Mrs. Hudson, and Lestrade. Moriarty obviously underestimates Molly and possibly even Mycroft.

  • 0:15 <3 Sherlock CARES

  • I LOVE Sherlock's worried expression when he says:"John" HE IS ACTUALLY HUMAN

  • press 1 and enjoy...

  • I think no matter how I speculate how sherlock survived the writers will surprise us in simple, annoying way make only make us want more and love their writing more :)

  • His voice actually shakes when he says John's name :'(

  • Morriarty should have been confident enough that Sherlock would not be able to persuade him to call off the Hits. He had a huge ego so why kill himself. It doesnt make sense.

  • Is there a point to not bringing up Molly? So that Moriarty won't know she's helping Sherlock?

  • @skatinanwaitin maybe Moriarty wrongly thought that Molly didn't matter to Sherlock (like she thought as well) so didn't have any gunmen on her?

  • Until I see the first episode of the next Season, I'm going to assume it all had something to do with the window that was open JUST an inch or two below Sherlock on the roof. I originally thought it had been closed at one point during the confrontation, but I went back and checked and it was always open. Still, one window open just a bit seems like a very random detail to put in there - well...to me, in a state of desperation, because hello, no Sherlock for a LONG time. I'm convinced it matters.

  • Can someone who has watched this episode please tell me why Sherlock stepped down from the edge of the building and said to Morriarty as long as you are alive my friends are safe. I didnt get it. The gunmen were told to kill his friends if he didnt jump. Am I missing some thing?

  • @timbum1000 I think the idea was that if one of the gunmen (and I'm pretty sure one of them could actually see Moriarty on the roof from his position) were informed by Moriarty that they were not to shoot whoever their respective target was, then the message would be passed on. But that gunman would have to hear it from Moriarty, so I think Sherlock planned to find a way to get Moriarty to call off the shootings, but then Moriarty offed himself and left Sherlock without any options.

  • This Moriaty is amazing because he looks such a nice guy, but inside he's really just a criminal mastermind. Brilliant!

  • bout to say.. did anyone notice how he didn't include molly?

  • this is deliberate. Sherlock is checking Moriarty didn't count Molly.

  • Shit, Sherlock! Stop listing or you'll giving him more ideas! D:

  • I love that he considers Lestrade a friend.

  • THIS SCENE. THIS LITTLE EXCHANGE.

ANDREW SCOTT LET ME LOVE YOU

  • lol I adore all of the noises and pitch changes that Andrew Scott does.

  • All of them!.......Except Molly.

  • @JeromeBeckett yes, and that's Moriarty's biggest mistake: underestimating Molly

  • i love haw moriarty says "WHOA WHOA WHOA!!"

  • ALL OF THEM!

    ..all... 3...

    ._.

  • I love that subtle shift in Sherlock's expression when Moriarty says his friends will die if he doesn't. So subtle, but so heartbreaking.

  • "Your friends will diiee if you don't"

    "John."

    "Not just John. Everyone."

    "Mrs. Hudson."

    "Everyone!"

    "Lestrade."

    "EVERYONE!"

    "Uhh..."

"Seriously. There's more people in the world than that."

  • Sherlock doesn't need incentive. (;

  • "You're just getting that now?

    WOOP WOOP WOOP."

    I laughed.

"Your friends will DIE if you don't"

I gasped. That sudden change of emotion is not good for your heart, lemme tell you.

  • I always wondered why Molly wasn't targeted...

  • @DeRagon3333 I thought, maybe because nobody knows that she means something to Sherlock? The way he treats her, and the fact that even she said that she doesn't count...I wonder though, why is he treating her like that even though she is important to him..

  • LMAO I love that random sound that Moriarty makes at 0:03 xD

...-considers making it into a ringtone-

  • @JKparody Glad I'm not the only one. Someone seriously needs to turn it into an mp3 so I can add it as my main ringtone asap.

  • LOL Sherlock acts like he's going to drop Moriarty to splatter on the road and Moriarty makes a funny sound XD.

  • Notice he doesn't mention Molly? Maybe it's because he tricked Moriarty into thinking he didn't care about her so she could help him later on? I don't know, just a theory.

  • The noise Moriarty makes after 'You're just getting that now?' sounds like Mario when he's losing balance. Am I the only one that thought of that...? ;s

  • @squigglex Thank you. Now I'm always going to look at Moriarty and think of a short chubby plumber who slams his head off of floating bricks and whose diet consists of radically coloured mushrooms.

Not that that's a bad thing.

  • Poor molly...

    John, Misses Hudson, Lestrade....

  • damn i wanted to slap him when he said that. and then beg for mercy even though he'd kill me anyway...

  • That "EVERYONE!" is brilliant. You can tell how fucked up Moriarty is

  • I guess Sherlock was wrong in HoB - he has four friends, not just the one

  • I'm sorry, this is a serious moment bur I just can't stop pressing 1..

  • I think the fact that the first person that he thinks of is John reinforces the fact that even though he cares about Mrs. Hudson, Lestrade, and Molly, John is still the one he cares about the most and considers the closest to him. Whether you take that bromantically or romantically, it's still an awesome touch by the writers. :)

  • press 1 and hear what I can not describe

  • @Dzheridein LOL,LMFAO

  • John's first :O... no Molly?

  • @LadyTwinklee that's part of the plan ;-)

  • @LadyTwinklee No Mycroft, either...

  • Moriarty reminds me of Gary Oldman'c character in 'Leon'. his voice now, this kind of easy-going insanity, fondness for using classical music during the crucial 'crime' moments...

  • There's a lot of similarities in the Sherlock/Moriarty, Batman/Joker relationship. Moriarty has a thing for Sherlock just as the Joker has a thing for Batman.

  • @CorvusRedcrow yeah, I always thought that too, it's even more here than in most adaptations, because Moriarty's hyperactive and funny in this version (as opposed to the cranky college professor we get in most adaptations) and Sherlock's dead serious

  • He he you see benedict trying not to laugh after he makes the weird noise lol :), 0.06

  • Ohmigod, the noise Moriarty makes at 0:04

  • But, crucially, not Molly... just think, if Sherlock had been nicer to Molly, especially during that meeting where Moriarty was posing as her boyfriend, Jim would have considered her one of Sherlock's friends and tagged a sniper on her too. If Molly did have a part to play in Sherlock's fake death, then that's some epic foresight by the writers.

  • 'John'

    'everyone'

    'miss. Hudson'

    'everyone'

    'Lestrade'

those three are everyone apparently ?

whahah I love that little noise from Moriaty to! xD

  • Comment removed

  • The way Moriarty says "everyone" just.... my god.... it totally makes this scene for me. His voice is practically seeping with insanity. I love it <3

  • Andrew Scott is so amazing. He totally does not deserve the bashing he gets for playing Moriarty. I am hoping he's somehow still alive, or comes back as his twin brother. I do believe there were three brothers in the ACD canon, all of them named James Moriarty BTW.

  • @BrownieWaltz WHAT...he gets bashed for playing Moriarty?! That makes absolutely no sense to me, he's a brilliant, brilliant Moriarty - he really lets the insanity shine through O_O

  • HARVEY DENT CAN HE BE TRUSTED?!

  • @TheAsine

If you mean Mycroft, of course he can. He was either in on the fake death or is helping Sherlock afterwards. They may bicker and fight, but that is his brother. And as Mrs.Hudson said, "in the end, family is all we have, Mycroft Holmes."

As if Mycroft needed to be reminded. *rme*.

  • loved the "John?" <3

  • I love the noise Moriarty makes when Sherlock grabs him and lets him stray too far to the edge <3

  • To tell the truth, when I was watching the episode Sherlock's reaction was something I did not expect. This is not how he usually reacts,he confronts others verbally, not physically. This is indeed out of his character....

  • @kateris1976 He was probably using jim to look if the truck with the pillows to land on was already there. Just walking to the edge and look down would be too obvious^^

  • @KLProductiongermany I believe that he did this when he asked Moriarty to give him a moment of privacy...a few minutes after that scene. This also sounded strange to me.Sherlock almost begging his enemy for a favour???

  • @kateris1976 :O

    I JUST REALISED

Remember what he said to Irene?

    'I never beg for mercy'

And Moffat told us to look out for a moment where Sherlock acts out of character ....

    :O

  • @ImagineWizard I think the answer is simple at the end:Sherlock jumps, lands on something we don't see (the sound when he hits the ground is a clue I think) uses fake blood and he's pronounced dead by Molly....no masks,no other bodies.

  • @kateris1976 No. That was also in the book. Moriarty allowed Holmes to write a letter to Watson before the final confrontation. But maybe, he really was just trying to have a better look. We will know in a year^^

  • Sherlock: "You're insane!"

Moriarty: "You're just getting that now?"

    Awesome!

  • @gerardwfreak I love the squeak (of a sort) after that!

  • @skatinanwaitin Same! You think for a second "Moriarty can't be all that bad" then you remember the suicide bombs, the taxi cab murders, the smugglers, the fact that he's ruining Sherlock's life... now that I think of it, Moriarty is one busy guy!

  • ;_; He says John name first.

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH <3
