  • Once I found this mantra a few years ago it helped me immediately..When you learn it, wherever you want to go, you're there. Tell your friends!! Great post, I love the Sanskrit pronunciation especially! PAZ

  • Bhagawan or God Sathya Sai Baba who resurrects 2012 Christmas has said, anyone can chant Gayatri anytime of day or night any number of times. You dont have to conform to widely accepted beliefs or rules(human created ego).Everyone of us has the power of God/Goddess. We just have to imagine ourself as what we want to become. Masculine, Feminine or Non-dual which is most perfect form ardhanartishwara or half man woman god. Be feminine in outward actions but masculine inside your mind. Attain Amrit

  • Thank you so much for posting , the reciting goes perfectly with the music!

  • I like the ninja

  • Beautifull!!! only beautifull!!! I love that♥♥♥

  • Recited by Sai Baba.

  • Mother Gayatri is the emblem of the Impersonal ParaBrahman which is beyond all description. The Gayatri Mantra captures the very essence of the Vedas.

  • I just cant stop listening to this music

  • See on mantra; mis tungib hinge sügavusse.

  • Nice Sunset: /watch?v=SyrRBP2G3uM

  • Meaning of this Mantra: Dear God, we meditate on you the omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent one! The remover of all sin and ignorance; May you enlighten our intellect.

  • @tomtomttom Strange how this prayer is so similar to the faith of christians and other monotheists. Ultimately God transcends human doctrines and ethnicities. He may manifest as Christ and at the same time manifest as Krishna or the Buddha or as Allah to Mohammed. He is not required to act in only one form or religion.

  • @crazyviking24 Religions like to claim they own God. And I think that is the fundamental problem with some religions. Many of the Dharmic religions are firm in their way of belief in God, but also respect other people's views as well. And many Dharmic religions do not believe if you don' t follow them you will go to hell. And Dharmic religion are open to people coming to them and leave that door open, but they do not force. That is how Dharmic practice is generally done.

  • somewhere in himalayas, I can imagine a yogi chanting this mantra with his face hit by sun ray and voice echoing through the landscape.

  • @LiberalPonder I would give alot to see it and to be there

  • @LiberalPonder in your minds eye you imagine...........

  • Very Latvian.

  • simply beautiful

  • mooi, heel mooi. Bedankt voor dat mooie uploaden. :-)

  • thank you for this very precious translation..now I understand why words such TAT , Prachodayat where giving me this inner feeling!!

  • chillout108, thank you, I began smiling here, feel PEACE and just very very content about ME and everything around me. This monk's TONE...... ahhhh (sigh).....

  • This is a recording by the Avathar who educates how to perform the Gayatri. A tape with music was made of this recording and sold to modest prices in the Ashram Prasanthi Nilayam.

This is the voice of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

  • @MIchlas thank you for this info, I was thinking - must be the original chanted mantra enriched with music, ha ?

  • OM BHUR BHUVAHA SWAHA

    TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM

    BHARGHO DEVASYA DHIMAHI

    DHIYO YONAHA PRACHODAYAT

    _()_

  • Comment section should be removed. They take away from the meaning.

  • @f56789123 Who are you to say what should be and what shouldn't be? Are you a greater person than any other

here? Your vanity is obscuring your god given sight. Peace.

  • Comment removed

  • @heehawluck1 All I meant was that reading the garbage below removes impact the chant has.

I don't consider myself to be superior to anyone here, but your assumption that I am vain is not only totally off-base, but highly presumptuous bordering arrogance. Before you assume things about people you do not know, you should look at yourself.

  • @f56789123 I stand by my comments. The major part of this mantra is about being able to maintain your concentration through all the noise and dissent which may be hurled at you. If comments here cause you to be distracted I would suggest that you merely ignore them and concentrate on the meaning of the Mantra. BTW, I was not assuming anything about anyone...and I try NOT to look at myself...I am aware of my shortcomings. Peace.

  • So energy inside. Great.

  • this is amazing

  • Mto bom!!! Sem palavras.

  • There are excellent elaboration for the meaning of this mantra. If you want to know very correct pronunciation, you may study Sanskrit basic or hear the Mantra video chanted with correct pronunciation, even here in you tube.

  • can you give a link or words for right pronunciation, because the only thing I understand and don't know what exactly means is word "varenyam" I know that it's on sanskrit and I just started tell mantras like a prayer and it helps me a lot and changed my life I do it because it's more suitable for me than believe in Jesus!

  • Hi Chillout108,

    Om Sai Eshawara hai vidhmana....

    Bargho devasya dimahi

    Dhyo yo na prachodayat

  • because one cannot cast shadows upon the sun.

  • find the light of truth, and embrace it. allow it to enter deep within the chasm of your soul until it has filled you up. when there is no more room for this light within, it will begin to radiate out into the world, and illuminate the darkness of others encountered upon the path. it is through the embodiment of the light of truth that we become enlightened, leaving behind all the shadows of illusion until nothing but the truth remains. when one truely lives in this light no harm can be done 2u.

  • Do you have the words(sanskrit) to this and or the translation? I would love to know!

  • "Dear God, we meditate on you the omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent one! The remover of all sin and ignorance; May you enlighten our intellect." (Yajur Veda 3:35)

  • @DJUnknownDubber Translation:

  • Here so much commented by some fools.Hinduism sprout from Vedas.Hinduism not called by or created any British people.Actually,Greeks called river Sindhu as Indus.Persian referred those culture and religion followed from Sindhu and beyond as Hindoo..

But,original name of Hinduism is Sanadhan Dharma.

Simply, calling Kemet as Egypt by those Greeks wont make Egypt being found by Greeks.

People should come out from nonsense comments.

  • Happy birthday 2010

  • beautiful visuals like this helped me find my innerself..

  • how many times is said the Gayatri in this video¿? Thanks!

  • Doesn't this have to be given by a Guru? WHy are mantras even given by Guru's? Just to learn how to pronounce it right?

  • @Whyisthat101 LOL You have so many questions.......... you are like a little child. LOL

  • is it somehow possible to upload a higher quality version?

    it`s really fantastic!

  • So does the edited echoing and all the other effect change the effect of the mantra? i mean if a word is being echoed several times isn't the sanskrit ruined?

  • @Whyisthat101 Why would it be ruined? The words coming from his mouth are not distorted. It is all about staying faithful to the Mantra 'in spite' of the distortion it may have to pass through. It is all about the initial clarity of the message, the essential verity of what is being said. Peace. x

Hi friend, I absolutely LOVE this rendition of the Gayatri Mantra. Is there anywhere I could get an mp3 or mp4 version of this exact version? Please let me know. I mean I have heard tons of singers singing this mantra as a Bhajan, but I like it in this approach much better....it truly sent chills down my spine, especially since I could use this for meditation etc. Thanks.

  • I have chills. This was beyond words.

  • I love this ao must ; I watch every day to calm my soul and mind.

The sound of water and the woods, birds the mantra is one wonderful time out of all the noise aroumd in the work,

  • most beautiful

  • Before, studying on Buddha what are environment which created Gautama Buddha which you have to know and analyse. In those days Kshatriya or warrior Caste families where Siddhartha was born was highly systematic followers of Hinduism.

Every prince was taught Vedic philosophy by able tutors.

In fact,Siddhartha directed his quest for specific answers and he has done.

He never talked or opposed on God but silent only on this proving his aims are situation specific!

  • Shidhartha Ghauthama, prince, became enlighten, so he became Buddha(enligthen one). You and me and even you there can be Buddha. Just try hard enough, maybe its my turn in next life, only so close at this one. One god. One love. Semi Buddha from Finland.

  • Thank you for such an exquisite gift..... Deep thanks to all those involved in the creation of this video.... God is Spirit, and in our world water is the representation of Spirit..... May all waters of the world be Divinely blessed... now and forever more, and may the Divine vibration in the waters heal and restore all beings to their loving, harmonious, perfect state.... in accordance with God's original design.... This is my prayer fuelled with my infinite Love for all..... Celestite

  • The God is infinite in the sense for our little knowledge. How can you sure that HE only ONE not in any form, existing outside.

Then who existing inside of all living creatures.

Saying God existing only outside, how valid that.

Everything came from or created by God means,in everything God only exist which is logical and scientific! This is the philosophy of Hinduism.

As such,if we consider manifestations in the physical realm, finally GOD only one existing in everything!

    This is conclusion of VEDAS

  • There are different manifestation of God as no one cannot limit that super power. Not only that, God existing in everywhere,he is not single entity existing outside of the soul.

That is brainwash which lead us to perennial ignorance!

  • @Saraswathiputra As human beings we only know with certainty that we have a beginning and an end.... we have no first hand knowledge of the infinite. How can you pontificate on what manner of form or lack of form God has.....if, indeed, he has any form?? Perennial ignorance is, in part, a major part of man's make up.

    Peace.

  • This chant is very beautiful. I feel that it brings me in deeper contact with Source of all......... effortlessly........ Oh Source, how I love You.... I love You with infinite Love........ and more still.......... Celestite......

  • This chant is amazingly powerful.......and subtley hypnotic. Marvelous.

  • @heehawluck1 Exactly!!

  • @heehawluck1 卐·☼·卍

  • panchodeeee, you are real Dumb ass!Buddhas father was a Hindu king..Do you know anything on Hindu kings daily rituals which was very strictly followed and taught to their sons and daughters systematically.

Siddharth family celebrated and followed all tenets of Hinduism most meticulously.

Buddha just liked to improve his own addition what he learned from his HIndu family values.

Buddhas first and foremost disciple was Ananada,a Brahmin.

  • Dear brothers and sisters, God is not in these idols, when would you understand when life is so short. Your Creator gave you brains to think and ponder and try understand that humans, cows, elephants are all God's creations and not gods unto themselves. Is it so difficult to understand? What is at stake for living an ungrateful life where you do not acknowledge and bow to your Creator and search Him in His creations and take partners with Him! May the Lord of the Universe help you and guide you.

  • @WakeUpCall1000 leave people alone. Aryan knowledge teach (Yaga) that you must to find your inner peace and meet life through your own mind and not through some "jewish" or christian god

Living means - to learn also through mistakes. Life was given to you as opportunity, to step on higher level after your death

Sacred books are only help - to find balance and peace after chaos in yourself.

    Read books between the lines.

    peace

  • @VendPrekmurec Do you not know..........there is only ONE God??

    Peace.

  • Good luck with that...

  • « O Terra, atmosfera, paradiso

    possa l'eccelsa gloria

di Savitr il Dio ( il Sole )

    esaudire le nostre preghiere. »

  • It was chanted by Sri Satya Sai Baba .

  • amazing, powerful, delightful....!

  • Gayatri mantra is considered to be the highest and the purest of all Hindu mantras, It is believed that just listening to it cleanses you. To explain its depth is difficult but i do listen to it once a day.

  • @bluecount101 I thought i was the Hare Kṛṣṇa Maha Mantra: Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare. The Vedas aren't Hinduism by the way if you look at the historical records.

  • Precious chanting, may these prayers be heard and answered now, in the reflection of honor, respect and balance within ourselves and our world, especially our ocean waters, water ways, rivers and streams and all angels of the sea~

  • inspire you to the positive enrgetic aura of material and the use will be the habit and the aura of the souls will suround you, will find basic haert of grace and strings of natrual spirits in upper strings of harmony. (nature)

    Soul to mind

    haert to mind

    and soul to the haert,

    The muse

  • if I didn't know that Sai Baba (the one chanting this) makes people think he has "special powers" by pulling parlor tricks in front of large religious crowds, I might actually feel "good" about hearing this.

  • @n2dzone Even though Sai Baba certainly has fallen far from the grace of God and has made terrible mistakes he also had high attainment and much light, God will judge his actions accordingly, but there is a part of him that is good and noble. None of us are perfect and enlightened so we too need of the Lords compassion and forgiveness.

  • @cmcas What mistakes and fall from grace are you referring to ?

  • @laurentrentrent There are serious charges of sexual harrasement against him for misconduct against some of his disciples that are pending investigation, some are afraid to speak out for fear of comdemnation from his followers. I too was very surprised to learn this. But as I said there is only ONE who can judge with true justice.

  • Buddhism is not much else but a division of Hinduism. That is my view. If you read the Bhagavad Gita, the instructions to Arjuna given by Krishna are very similar to that of Buddha's teachings.

"One who is self-controlled and unattached and who disregards all material enjoyments can obtain, by practice of renunciation, the highest perfect stage of freedom from reaction."

  • just beautiful no matter where it comes from....if we can reach our inner self then it matters not who the messenger is or where he comes from or what denomination...thank you for sharing x

  • this is not buddhist. This is the foundation of hinduism.

  • Very beautiful mantra! You guys in to this stuff must see this: watch?v=2_a-Yh5FTaE , pretty amazing stuff. anyway thanks for the vid :-)

  • Generall Info: The Gayatri Mantra is not a Buddhistic Mantra.(It is used by Buddhists) It comes from the RIG VEDA. And in the Gita the Lord says: "Among the Mantras, I am Gayatri Mantra".

  • awesome!

  • Both,Hinduism and Buddhism never fought physically but intellectually besides existed side by side.

But,finally, great Vedic Acharya,Sri Adi Sankara established supremacy of Vedic philosophy in India over all other philosophies including Buddhism.

  • But,Vedic philosophy most ancient besides time tested was created by many great great souls like Buddhs forefather Rishi Gautama and other great sages.

But,still, scientifically,Vedic philosophy is far superior which made only the Vedic philosophy to survive many onslaught but not Buddhism in it s own country of creation, that is India.

  • Buddha being born in the Vedic family, tried to find solution to the suffering of the people which he made to see.Really,he is great soul tried his best to solve the problems.

  • I want to post this on Ram Dass's online satsang. I love how this one feels 'clean' in a deep way. Refreshing. I get turned off by a lot of stuff w/same subject because of it's delivery. Can you tell I'm not enlightened? Namaste....

  • I used to sing this song in Hindu temple. This version is very peaceful.

  • One can not know Buddhisim, if one does know Hinduism. Shidharta Ghauthama, was son of a king, and did believe in Hindism. That is a fact

  • a buddhist can be drunk same time, as teathcing what he has experience... I supose... true buddhist from Finland say to you, SHUT THE UP U UP!!!

  • these mantras are hindu by the way

  • @sjayahanthan These mantra are neither Hindu nor is it buddhisms, to be accurate, there is no such thing as hinduism or Buddhism. There was never a religion, those who Knew of the knowledge of the vedas and followed it were called the vedantist, it was known a santana dharma and Siddhartha Gautama was enlightened with the same knowledge as in the Vedas and more and his followers called it Buddhism. Buddha was one of the biggest vandantist ever.

  • @sjayahanthan it is not hindu but the universal language

    sankrit

  • Can you please tell me which exact redention of the Gayatri Mantra this is, it is performed by whom? I would be grateful if you could tell me that, thank you and kshat kshat pranam.

  • @darthcoder2 Sathya Sai Baba is singing.

    Om Sai Ram!

  • @Saikarlek Thank you for helping me out!! I was able to track this down and was able to download this track :)

  • What an enchanting melody, what a prayer. It seems that my soul has been cleansed and I am rejuvenated. Very nice video and very nice redention of the gayatri mantra. May god bless you for your efforts.

  • Oh God, the Protector, the basis of all life, Who is self-existent, Who is free from all pains and Whose contact frees the soul from all troubles, Who pervades the Universe and sustains all, the Creator and Energizer of the whole Universe, the Giver of happiness, Who is worthy of acceptance, the most excellent, Who is Pure and the Purifier of all, let us embrace that very God, so that He may direct our mental faculties in the right direction.

  • waauw touched me...really beautiful...ommm

  • Sathya Sai Babas wonderful voice... Bliss! Thank You.

    Om Namah Shivaya

  • I would know that voice anywhere Sai Ram. Awesome job, this is my absolute favorite video. You are very talented and gifted, I want to watch it over and over. I love the part with the ninja and the waterfalls, I feel like I am there alone safe and surrounded by beauty.I hope all your dreams come true, you are blessed, that's obvious.

  • das beste gayatri was ich kenne!!

  • Thankyou - I so loved hearing this peaceful, heartfelt Hindu-chant (I think that's what it is (I know it's not a Buddist-mantra...I'm fairly sure of that). Listening to this gave me such an inner calm. I would love to know what is being said though). I know that words can get in the way and that it is the sound-vibration-resonance that permeates but I'd still love to know...anyone. Thankyou and Blessings.

  • This is chanted by Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi, India. I can recognize His voice from any corner of this world :)

  • Phalguni: Do you think Baba will approve you calling some one dummy and dim witted wit? Ofcourse this is a Hindu chant. However, I think it doesnt really matter which religion it is since Gayatri Mantra signifies the Universal Energy that permeates the universe. Hinduism for me is about tolerance and acceptance. Thanks.
