Is it so despicable? He is an opinion reporter and using a personal example to illustrate a point. Smart people use their experiences even more than their education. Speaking of despicable, what are your thoughts about her use of her husband and family as PROPS. Especially that retarded little rag doll she flings around as if the kid has no feelings. SHE IS DESPICABLE, not KEITH.
@St1kyFinguz What a horrible thought... I do hope you're wrong about Americans believing in the Rand Holocaust but I'm not there you are so I guess you're probably right. Whatever happened to Bush the elder's desire to create "a kinder gentler America"?
Olbermann condemned Sarah Palin for using her son's military service to further her politically. Olbermann condemned Sarah Palin for speaking of her disabled child to further her political agenda. I feel for Olby, but he is a hypocrite here.
funny keith wants a greedy doctor to charge a family in grief for giving advice he should be ashamed to charge for.why does niether side speak of the huge overcharging by doctors.hiospital charged my wife 300$ to push her in awheel chair to the entrance to leave.Everyone is made to go out in a wheel chair.why does congress not hold hearing on why doctors charge sick people crazy prices?bigger assholes that oil companies, yet silence
@namtesyalp When you see a doctor you are paying for more than just the help you get, you are paying for the building, their insurance, the office workers, the other people who don't pay their bills etc. Should doctors make a lot of money? Absolutely. I do see a lot of waste there, so I have emphathy for your point, but 12 years of training and ungodly hours, doctors should make a good living.
skyline so building, school, thier insurance, office workers was not a cost 20 years ago? When I went as a teen I remeber the visit was 35$.docctor was still rich.also fireman, police have hard training andhours where is thier pAY?Also I am selfemployed and work on houses. If I mes up a job,I dont get paid.doctor messes up and they still are paid.
olbermann says "monogoosexual".He should resign.this sounds like the words of a nut.good ideakeith, mongooses should give up and let cobra's bite them.liberals are like that, they think they can change a snake or a criminal.this lead to people being released that kill people like the girl in san diego.liberals become dangerous and protect perverts, terrorist and pedophiles
Whining about some apparent exploitation only serves to avoid the issue of euthanasia, branded as "death panels". So lets talk about end of life care.
Those of you complaining about Mr. Olbermann using his father to further his cause are simply whining republican conservative shills who have been bought by the health insurance companies. What Mr. Olbermann is doing is exposing end of life care for everyone to see. It's important to him, and it should be important to you.
Apologists and supporters of private health insurance for profit are not the kind of people I want deciding how or health care should be administered, solely for obscene profit.
Yup, I have been bought. In fact, last week they bought me a new car, paid off my mortgage and even hire a hooker for 1 week. Of course I later contracted some crabs with gonorrhea and my insurance would not cover this pre-existing condition. They said it was pre-exiting on the hooker. oh well. Let me know if you want to be paid off by them as well. How about a Porshe ? or a non government run education ?
@ekjohndeer : He's not at all stating he's the only one going through his current situation. He is clearly and loudly and with great empathy and vulnerability sharing his circumstance and in so doing identifying with everyone else going through the same situation. Does his sharing a personal story to examplify for others the dismal state of US health care diminish or invalidate his own or anyone's experience? No it does not!! So, how about you show similar empathy towards others.
@mymatemartin I have great empathy for his family because I went thought it last year, but he is using it a tool for his job and his political view , i want heath care reform but what is in front of us is one of the biggest mess and government waste ever seen . There is more than one way of fixing it . This administration has done nothing to work together or even work with in their own party to make health care done right.
He is entitled to do so - as is everyone else. Everyone's point of view is shaped (at least in part) by their personal experiences and for that reason may vary over time. As a media voice KO is representative of those of like mind, naturally. That he can use his personal experience with and of an issue so central to a civilised society is not exploitative. He's not 'exploiting' his father for career-related ends. His statements are a compelling example of a painful reality - from his view.
@mymatemartin Well you have you thoughts on this and it is you right but I think Keith knowing his past rants against every one else he is using this for his own gain .
@ekjohndeer You must be a republican because you can't spell and it reinforces my belief that most republicans are ignorant. If not, they'd be democrats.
I don't understand American politics. Surely if a member of a mainstream political party has been shown deliberately and blatantly to have mislead the public on such an important issue by alleging the existence of death panels (implying that the healthcare bill includes some kind of eugenics program) then surely they must resign and surely they have shown themselves unworthy to serve the American people. Americans please explain.
@St1kyFinguz If every rich nation in the world can avoid this outcome why can't America do the same. Are you saying that America is somehow inferior to the rest of the rich world?
European countries and Canada have extensive waiting list. When a waiting list becomes your death sentence you don't lose hope you just run out of time.
Further more
these same "Rich Nations" profit off of
American research and development
American pharmaceuticals
American Medical treatment breakthroughs
These same "Rich Nations then Lie stall and brag about the state of their Health Care then they allow their super rich to escape to America.
@St1kyFinguz Your super rich come to Europe too. The late Farah Fawcett went to Germany for treatment she couldn't get in the US and that is one of many examples. The US manages to spend more on healthcare per capita than any other rich country and yet there is no universal coverage. Better to be on a waiting list than never get treated at all as is the case for millions of Americans. The American system is the most expensive and has the worst outcomes.
@St1kyFinguz Let me put this for you simply. America is a great country because it does great things. If it does things badly, like healthcare for all her citizens, that diminishes her greatness. Shouting U-S-A-U-S-A repeatedly, while highly amusing for us non-Americans (and probably embarrassing for other Americans), provides no one with health coverage. Your link doesn't work. Is Brock an American intellectual then? Or perhaps an healthcare economist?
@St1kyFinguz Sorry. I have fallen into this trap before. You get such extreme opinions in America that it is hard to distinguish parody from sincerity. I think you might have to American to do this although you were sounding a bit like Homer Simpson so I should have guessed. Tell me though is Anne Coulter parody or the real thing? And what about the Westboro Baptist Church?
Brock Lesnar essentially did nothing and it kinda healed itself ... And he flat out made a political statement when he had his ESPN press conference ' I'm a conservative'
dude your a dumbass you can be moved up or treated instantly it's the same thing everywhere their not going to make you wait in line their's an emegercy room in Canada too jees your fucking dumb
@padraigomairtin There is no such thing as the honor of a politician in US Congress having the integrity to resign after such an outlandish statement. Even the former VP Candidate, Sarah Palin, who actually DID resign because she could make more money pushing her book and getting TV, claims the health care reforms would lead to "death panels"; she has no shame.
I don't know what nation you are from, but it seems like your politicians are more honorable than many of our Republicans.
@awreslr2 I'm from ireland. Our politicians are liars too but there are lies and there are lies. Our healthcare system has many faults but at least we have universal coverage. You may be on a waiting list but you do get treated. No one dies. No offence Americans but for most Europeans it's not about Socialism it is about common decency. How can Americans tolerate a healthcare system that allows people to die because of no coverage. Surely the real "death panel" is the current system?
I really appreciate your response, and I hope 1000 Americans will learn from you that the USA's system is not only corrupt, but founded upon a capitalistic model that cannot survive and be anywhere near ethical. I would rather wait a week for treatment of a non-life-threatening condition than pay thousands for a treatment today. I think we in the USA have screwed ourselves, and will probably die as a sick and injured nation that cannot afford to treat our sick and injured.

Oh for goodness sake, this should be a personal problem and not something to turn into a political circus or to push your ideology across the airwaves.
Just shut up Olbermann and go and spend your precious time with your father, don't waste a moment of it.
We all have lost family at one time or another, you are not the first and no more important than anyone else, that's life and we have to deal with it.
These death panels are better coined as future earner viability panels. Keith's family experience is much different from those whose loved one is lying in a bed with no monitary contributions to insurance and or the medical system. Been there, done that. I agree with end of life counseling, yet have learned that it is better served to those who better serve the grand pocket that holds that wallet.

This guy is pluggin' dead panels... the Gov't intervention into whether you live or die... How about doing it like we used to do... Keep the Friggin' Gov't and Private Corporations outa my Friggin' Bizness.. This Guy is Twisted!
If you have insurance...private or government. Those bodies DO decide whether you are covered for restorative care in a palliative situation. If their medical director(s) decide you are dieing... they will cover ONLY hospice or comfort for dying care. Just like any other situation if it is considered non efficacious to provide a certain benefit, say hospitalization for the brain dead. They will force you into home hospice. Always did .. always will. I work for the biz and he is right. 100 %.
Insurance companys are death panels. They dont care if you live, they care not to pay so they profit. Soon as the doctor cant get payment from insurance companys i bet patients die. And quality care ends.
i think this whole debate is rediculous let us finally step into modern times and provide medical care for our fellow citizens that is the only moral and right thing to do we can and should not allow our country to be dictated by the uber rich enough is enough
public option or no bill, I the liberal didn't get single payer this is my compromise. no taxes no mandates, premium paid government provided option. and for 3% profit, budget neutral. very simple stuff
"Mr.olbermann's father has nothing to do with my life."
Neither do death panels, since they don't exist in America and never will under this health care proposal. Personal experience makes the issue much more real and personal than it does as an abstract posted on a Facebook account by a certain retarded ex-governor (using satire here guys, it's OK to call her retarded!)
Hopefully Keith can find some solution that has the best outcome. Based on how his father is, things aren't too bright.
If a person is uninsured and gets the flu they will not go to the doctor. Now if the flu turns into pnumonia then they will have to see the doctor and we get stuck with the bill. However, If the person has insurance and they get to the doctor while they have the flu. Then we will save thousands of dollars than if that same person gets pnumonia. The secret is that we catch the illnesses early so it does not turn into a high cost illness.
Well to be honest, the Republican solution is to tell everyone without a Job to go Fu@k them selves. If you do have a job then they'll cut you a check for $5000 at tax time for you to do what ever you want with it.
For that, they will Kill Medicare and Medicade.
They also want to give people vouchers to go to the hospital.
All best to K.O. and his father. That's the only message any of us should post. Not dumb anger or ditto-head stupidity as we see here, which will inevitably lead to me being flamed.
Who knows, conservatives are becoming more and more irrational as the years go on. Bunch of retarded retards they are, the retards. (Satire! Palin said it's OK if it's satire!)
I also send my wishes to Keith. No-one should be in the position he's in, and it's terrible when it happens.
Ya it is hard talking about these things. I had to help make these types of decisions with both of my parents. I appreciate Keith trying to teach us at this time in his life. Good luck with your dad! He is hardcore.
I will benefit much more if I give that empathy to someone in my local community or my family. Not for the Government to steal it from me and give it to someone in New York which is the entire country away. I have the right to choose what I want to do with my money. Wither its to help or to be selfish. Still its my money.
So you're saying "that empathy" means "cash-money"? Is that it? It doesn't mean "Wishing for the best" or "Praying for a good resolution" or something else that doesn't cost you a dime, let alone time? Why are you even here watching this YT video if you don't care enough to do something that is neither expensive nor time-consuming?
You're retarded, bro. You should get that looked at.
Nah, dick... I think you are the one that is retarded since you think I think that empathy equates to giving money.
This Olbermann retard is trying to get me to "feel" for his dad and therefore accept the health care bill. Which will lead to more taxes and more governmental control. So can you see how I associated empathy with giving money? IS that too highbrow for you to make the inference? punk bitch.
@Orionx30 ... Actually "this Olbermann retard" is trying to get you to "feel" for his dad and therefore understand that End of Life Counselling is a good and necessary thing, and should be covered by health insurance policies.
The fact that you have a Pavlovian response to spout nonsense about "more taxes" and "governmental control" shows how fucked in the head half of this country is. This isn't the fucking wild west. Healthcare is more complicated than a swig of whiskey and flame-sanitizing.
End of Life Counseling and palliative care has its own sub-specialty... Its already covered. There is no reason why the GOVERNMENT has to write a law about it. There is no reason why the government has to ensure it. There is no reason why the government needs to interfere. The doctor gets paid when you see him, he charges for a doctors visit its pretty simple.
@Orionx30 ... That is simpleton jibberish. You have no idea what is even being proposed.
The only thing big bad government wants to do is ensure that EOL Counseling is covered by all insurance policies in the marketplace. Since it's something everyone will have to deal with at some point, theres no point in NOT covering the cost of an EOL conversation with a doctor. You want to pay out of pocket? FINE! Just don't run up millions in the emergency room at tax payers expense b/c u have no EOL plan
@Orionx30 You say that as if it's fact. It's complete bullshit you just pulled out of your ass. There are no national standards of care. It differs by state. Some require that it be covered, most don't.
that's not true. Tricare doesn't cover it. United Health care doesn't it either. It is not always covered and it depends on the plan. I have had both plans and now I have Bluecross Salud and even that plan has very limit options on this subject. Sir, you can object but at least be informed before you speak on a matter that can literally give millions a little bit of solid footing and peace and mind at a moment when a persons world is at its most tentative.
if it is apart of standard care then it has to be covered in some way!? come on Mr. Orionx30 is it so hard to just admit that you might not be as informed on the subject? I pray that when you are forced to make these choices that you are allowed to look at unlimited options & that they allow you to ask and seek multiple sources of advice without seeing the added cost associated with it.
So are you telling that when you ask the oncologist that just told you and your family that the prostate cancer in your father just spread to his lumbar spinal cord and he entered stage 4 and has less than a few months... That the doctor is going to ask you... "What do you want to do?" And when you say, "what are my options?" he going to tell you... "i can't tell you because I charge for that and you are not covered." Is this what you are saying? Is this why the govt has to get inovled?
@Orionx30 The doctor will charge you regardless, you dolt.
This entire argument is about whether or not insurance should cover EOL counseling as it is a necessity for most people at some point. Also, if insurance covers the counseling, more people are likely to get the counseling before they are staring death in the face, which (as Olbermann has pointed out) has made his situation far more easy to handle.
If you want EoL coverage for insurance I highly suggest that you find a company that does.
To me the debate is whether the government should make it MANDATORY for insurance to cover it. Every time the government regulates something it has unseen consequences. One being a 25 yo paying for EoL coverage. I'm done with this debate since, as you pointed out, its the least of our worries and unimportant. Be sure that if I ever have a patient that needs EoL counseling... Ill do it free.
when we had these eol discussions w/ my parents doctors, it was billed as her regular office visit, never specifying what we talked about, so all the office visits were covered anyway. maybe becuz she was an oncologist? but i did spend a year dealing w/all the med. bills for a yr after my parents passed...
*sighs* n the case of both my great grandparents & my grandmother on my fathers side u r billed 4 this process. No Dr. would refuse 2 give u all the information u need however insurance companies can, have, & continue 2 refuse 2 cover this part of care or some stop after a certain point when they basically feel that the person is beyond repair & that the family should come 2 the same conclusion 2 save them cost.If u have a long term issue the insurance company wont pay this could be devastating.
Ok you made your point and I agree with you. Where I disagree is that the government should mandate it. Find a insurance company that covers it. Its that easy.
And for the record I think its ridiculous that doctors charge extra for this service. it part of their job.
You think its that easy to get insurace than you are an even bigger idiot. Many can not get any insurance because they use any reason to refuse to cover you. And even iy you have a policy they can still drop you at any time. If you get ill than foget changing companies after because you have a preexisting condition now. Doctors and hospitals charge for each item separately.
If you think that its a simple matter to get insurance to pay any claim for anything your doctors do, than you are not living in the same nation. Insurance companies increase their profits by refusing to pay claims. The system is broken and too many people are underinsured. They pay high premiums and then have their insurer refuse to pay. You are a simple minded fool.
@Orionx30... Glad you think so, but thats not really how the country works. Without taxes we have no police, firemen, teachers, bridges, roads, public transportation, public parks or anything. You wanna guard your home 24/7, grow your own food, raise your own animals for food and clothing? We need government agencies to check on those things. I know its in fashion now to speak like a simpleton and pretend not to know better than what the nearest redneck is shouting, but... Lets be for real.
You're person number 56 that has giving me this excuse and I can't believe that you think that I think we should not be taxed on anything. I can't believe that since you think that; firemen, teachers, bridges, roads, public transport, parks or anything is controlled and distributed by the govenrment then healthcare should be too
If by track record alone and the shitty job firemen, police and teachers perform I would say ABSOLUTELY NO to doctors being next in line being controlled by the govt.
@Orionx30 ... Oh yeah, privatize the lot! Private fire departments worked out great for Chicago during The Great Chicago Fire. Private police departments are great too, because they can more easily be bribed and coerced.
This is all aside from the fact that in no way is ANYONE talking about the government employing doctors. You have absolutely no grasp of the reality of the situation, and what is being proposed. You should stop now as you have thoroughly made yourself look like a fool.
Who the are you to say I look like a fool? Obama has stated and Congress has stated that this is just a stepping stone for a single payer system. I have seen medicare codes and they do regulate how you practice medicine. THE POWER TO PAY IS THE POWER TO SAY HOW YOU PRACTICE.
And I never said privatize those institutions I only stated they are run like SHIT.
If you weren't advocating for privatization, then you were just bitching and moaning, so thanks for that, very constructive.
So you want the power to pay? How about if you are hit by a drunk driver and need years of care. Theres no way you make enough money to pay for that, and you'd probably be disabled at that point. You would get Social Security so you could survive. You remember social security, right? That's that other program you nuts want to privatize too.
I agree. Nobody has said government will employ doctors or run hospitals. We are talking only insurance reform not even public insurance option. The current system does not serve it customers. Even people with insurance can loose it or have claims refused. A mandate for all to be insured will reduce costs. You must buy auto insurance to drive, and can not loose it. But its not so for your health.
@Orionx30... I don't know where you are but here in NYC, our firemen, teachers, policemen and other government workers do a fine job. By the way, what do they have to do with doctors? There is not even a notion on the table to have a national healthcare service (though we need one). I'm just saying government programs aren't as piss poor as your teabagging friends say. They are so afraid of taxes, and idolize the 50's when the millionaires paid 90% of income in taxes.
Just because you say so doesn't make it so. Your state is ranked 16th when it comes to schools, police brutality... enough said and firemen... too sensitive of a subject.
Well said. I really hate anti government idiots. I will not say that government is prefect and never makes mistakes. Government is like any human enterprise and it is as open to scandal as any business. Government does many things well. Blackwater in Iraq has murdered women and children and has been unaccountable. Our troops do a better job of diplomatic security at lower cost to us and is accountable.
So kill off your parents or grand parents who may be receiving medicare. They are living off all of us. Lets start with eliminating your family. Then maybe all the families in your community who get medicare. But I want it to start with the people who are against medicare and the health care bill. You won't be such a smartass when it hits home. I am tired of your family leaching off my money.
You are not grasping the fact that medicare does not cover the costs of the service rendered.
My parents, brothers and sisters all have health insurance that will cover us in anything. So I am not leaching on anyone. But if you think that paying for a ED visit is bad think about how bad its going to be wth 30 million DO come in for Flu... Not only will you now not be able to receive care, but you are paying for them...
OK so you are saying that you are on your parents coverage. Look I understand your point. However you have no life experience now do you? Now I won't attack you, However come back when mommy and daddy are not footing your bill. 30 Million people will not show up all at once. That has been the lie. I receive medicare for my disability and work part time. I pay a monthly premium and never really use my insurance. Most people will behave the same way.
You did not respond to me directly. You said in your comment that your folks have insurance that will cover us in anything. You are a bold face liar. Go out and join the real world. Then come back and tell us all what you have learned.
Can we trust them? Obama lied on the patriot act. Can we trust him on this?
It seems what we have laid out right now is workin pretty well for Keith's dad... Although Keith seems to be very obsessed with prolonging his life even if it means being in a coma or suffering.

There are a good number of People in this fine country who do believe in what I like to call the "Rand Holocaust".
As in Not only allowing failing Buisnesses to fail..
But also allowing Failing government entitlement programs to fail
Ultimatly leading to allowing failing People to fail..
Right down to the last Cancer-stricken Grand Mother to the first unwanted infant..
Just as it's advocated in Ayn Rand's philosophys.

Americans please explain.
padraigomairtin 2 years ago 2
@padraigomairtin
Ironically Ms. Palin did resign from her Governorship, although for a diffrent reason.
The death panels will develop as a result of America becoming the worlds largest Free Clinic.

@St1kyFinguz Your super rich come to Europe too. The late Farah Fawcett went to Germany for treatment she couldn't get in the US and that is one of many examples. The US manages to spend more on healthcare per capita than any other rich country and yet there is no universal coverage.

Orionx30 2 years ago
@Orionx30 ... Actually "this Olbermann retard" is trying to get you to "feel" for his dad and therefore understand that End of Life Counselling is a good and necessary thing, and should be covered by health insurance policies.
The fact that you have a Pavlovian response to spout nonsense about "more taxes" and "governmental control" shows how fucked in the head half of this country is. This isn't the fucking wild west. Healthcare is more complicated than a swig of whiskey and flame-sanitizing.
hergs 2 years ago
End of Life Counseling and palliative care has its own sub-specialty... Its already covered. There is no reason why the GOVERNMENT has to write a law about it. There is no reason why the government has to ensure it. There is no reason why the government needs to interfere. The doctor gets paid when you see him, he charges for a doctors visit its pretty simple.
Orionx30 2 years ago
@Orionx30 ...
FINE! Just don't run up millions in the emergency room at tax payers expense b/c u have no EOL plan
hergs 2 years ago
The plan is already a part of the standard of care. The government doesn't need to ensure that its covered...
Orionx30 2 years ago
@Orionx30 You say that as if it's fact. It's complete bullshit you just pulled out of your ass. There are no national standards of care. It differs by state. Some require that it be covered, most don't.
hergs 2 years ago
that's not true. Tricare doesn't cover it. United Health care doesn't it either. It is not always covered and it depends on the plan. I have had both plans and now I have Bluecross Salud and even that plan has very limit options on this subject. Sir, you can object but at least be informed before you speak on a matter that can literally give millions a little bit of solid footing and peace and mind at a moment when a persons world is at its most tentative.
nuumskee 2 years ago
I never said it was covered. I only said it part of the standard of care.
Orionx30 2 years ago
@Orionx30 The English language lacks the adjectives to describe how utterly ridiculous that statement is.
hergs 2 years ago
if it is apart of standard care then it has to be covered in some way!? come on Mr. Orionx30 is it so hard to just admit that you might not be as informed on the subject? I pray that when you are forced to make these choices that you are allowed to look at unlimited options & that they allow you to ask and seek multiple sources of advice without seeing the added cost associated with it.
nuumskee 2 years ago
So are you telling that when you ask the oncologist that just told you and your family that the prostate cancer in your father just spread to his lumbar spinal cord and he entered stage 4 and has less than a few months... That the doctor is going to ask you... "What do you want to do?" And when you say, "what are my options?" he going to tell you... "i can't tell you because I charge for that and you are not covered." Is this what you are saying? Is this why the govt has to get inovled?
Orionx30 2 years ago
@Orionx30 The doctor will charge you regardless, you dolt.
This entire argument is about whether or not insurance should cover EOL counseling as it is a necessity for most people at some point. Also, if insurance covers the counseling, more people are likely to get the counseling before they are staring death in the face, which (as Olbermann has pointed out) has made his situation far more easy to handle.
hergs 2 years ago
If you want EoL coverage for insurance I highly suggest that you find a company that does.
To me the debate is whether the government should make it MANDATORY for insurance to cover it. Every time the government regulates something it has unseen consequences. One being a 25 yo paying for EoL coverage. I'm done with this debate since, as you pointed out, its the least of our worries and unimportant. Be sure that if I ever have a patient that needs EoL counseling... Ill do it free.
Orionx30 2 years ago

Orionx30 2 years ago
*sighs* n the case of both my great grandparents & my grandmother on my fathers side u r billed 4 this process. No Dr. would refuse 2 give u all the information u need however insurance companies can, have, & continue 2 refuse 2 cover this part of care or some stop after a certain point when they basically feel that the person is beyond repair & that the family should come 2 the same conclusion 2 save them cost.If u have a long term issue the insurance company wont pay this could be devastating.
nuumskee 2 years ago
Ok you made your point and I agree with you. Where I disagree is that the government should mandate it. Find a insurance company that covers it. Its that easy.
And for the record I think its ridiculous that doctors charge extra for this service. it part of their job.

You think its that easy to get insurace than you are an even bigger idiot. Many can not get any insurance because they use any reason to refuse to cover you.
DAVIDAMORSE1701 2 years ago
@Orionx30... Glad you think so, but thats not really how the country works. Without taxes we have no police, firemen, teachers, bridges, roads, public transportation, public parks or anything. You wanna guard your home 24/7, grow your own food, raise your own animals for food and clothing? We need government agencies to check on those things. I know its in fashion now to speak like a simpleton and pretend not to know better than what the nearest redneck is shouting, but... Lets be for real.
Boobalopbop 2 years ago
You're person number 56 that has giving me this excuse and I can't believe that you think that I think we should not be taxed on anything. I can't believe that since you think that; firemen, teachers, bridges, roads, public transport, parks or anything is controlled and distributed by the govenrment then healthcare should be too
If by track record alone and the shitty job firemen, police and teachers perform I would say ABSOLUTELY NO to doctors being next in line being controlled by the govt.
Orionx30 2 years ago
@Orionx30 ...
You should stop now as you have thoroughly made yourself look like a fool.
hergs 2 years ago
Who the are you to say I look like a fool? Obama has stated and Congress has stated that this is just a stepping stone for a single payer system. I have seen medicare codes and they do regulate how you practice medicine. THE POWER TO PAY IS THE POWER TO SAY HOW YOU PRACTICE.
And I never said privatize those institutions I only stated they are run like SHIT.
Idiot.
Orionx30 2 years ago
If you weren't advocating for privatization, then you were just bitching and moaning, so thanks for that, very constructive.
So you want the power to pay? How about if you are hit by a drunk driver and need years of care. Theres no way you make enough money to pay for that, and you'd probably be disabled at that point. You would get Social Security so you could survive. You remember social security, right? That's that other program you nuts want to privatize too.
hergs 2 years ago
DAVIDAMORSE1701 2 years ago
I'm all for insurance reform, but the bill is not that.

Mommy and Daddy stopped paying for things a while ago.
