you made it absolutly wrong!!!! before you turn, give in sand then you close the ends, after then you can begin to turn, you're going to become a nice round steel or aluminium, test it. and send me an answer. flashpointer mechnic man.

Question. Can you bend square or rectangular aluminum tubing with this bender?

I have the same bender setup and aluminum tube diameter. But when I try to bend the aluminum tube breaks in half.

are you using annealed tube ? that maybe why it breaks

The problem isn't with the bender its the stock you're using your aluminum is too brittle and can't be bent. at least not the way you're going about it. Go to a metal supply yard(phonebook it) and tell them what you're trying to do.
