To the person who wanted someone to explain their beliefs and convictions...I have always believed because from a young child I saw a miracle happen right in front of me. Even though I saw that, I battles for many years with unbelief. I knew God could but I didn't know if he would do it for me. I had allowed my feeling to lead me, and not the Word of God. It was a long process for me, but God in his mercy and grace peeled the layers like a onion off me so I could learn to trust him completely.
I used to be a christian and have a very hard time believing again. I want to know how people can stay with their beliefs more strongly than I did. My family and girlfriend are Christians and I worry sometimes about how my doubts will affect things. Could anybody explain the strength of their convictions?

You are much more than a backslider with the propaganda of Atheism loaded into your mind. You must do it yourself. We grow in faith by obedience to the Word of God. That is our secret.

Write down every doubt you have whether it be accusations against God such as you have shared with me privately, and every other problem you have with God/theBible/faith etc and research each one til you reconcile them to God one by one. Just to see if you can argue against each of your Atheistic beliefs successfully. Then sum it all up.
@eulerkaku faith comes by the hearing and the gearing of the Word of God. all you need is a little bit of faith. the bible says that whoever knocks, the door will be open for them and Jesus will come and dine with them. Open the doors of your heart and Jesus will become a part of your life and will be around you and within you by His Holy Spirit. thats wat gives us "christians" the conviction of Jesus Christ because we have experienced Jesus in our lives. @rambo7149 I don't care if they believe in Him or not. If you take His name in vain, he is not going to hold you blameless. And just because you say "I believe in Him", DOES NOT make you a Christian. You have to act on your love. If you were married to someone and you constantly said "I love you. I believe in you". And you never hug her, kiss her, take her out on a date. There's nothing showing that you do love her. You say you love her but there is no evidence. That's how some people are.
