To do Rick justice, this clip is only a small portion of a much, much longer bit. The clip is out of context -- it only shows the "setup" part of the joke. In other words, the above clip is an uncompleted joke.
Having SEEN the entire bit LIVE, I can honestly say it's really, really good. At first, it makes you say, "wtf?" And you think "wtf?" for like 20-30 minutes. And yet, when he reaches the end, it all comes together and makes sense, and is just great.
