And now, I am losing that good childhood innocence. I will soon go to college, get a job, get my own house, raise a family, and grow old. I would literally beat the game just to hear this music. I always found it so fulfilling and yet so very peaceful. As a kid, I would fall asleep to this frequently because I left my Game Boy Color on just for this. Pokemon is a part of my soul.

I put Pokemon Silver into my GBC today and realised that the save died. ):

It was a really strange moment, not seeing Continue written there. I hit New Game, and after a few minutes I realised I couldn't start over. It just wasn't right. I wanted to cry.

After searching, I found something. It was a small book where I wrote everything I had done in Pokemon Silver as it was happening. I read through it as I listened to this, and sobbed. It was bittersweet.

Noctowl and Feraligatr were my favorites from this generation, and every time I play I grab a Tododile and Hoot-Hoot right from the start because I love water, and I only ever had time to play at night. When I played through Heart Gold, I ended (beating Red) with a level 83 Feraligtr, and a level 84 Noctowl. I love me some pokemonz. Every time I hear the music from this generation it makes me tear a little bit because of how many fantastic memories I have. Thanks Gamefreak.

Hypno, Lugia, Gyarados, Ampharos, Golem and my beloved Typhlosion. I lost all of them against the very final pokemon and couldn't look to see what happened, until my brother told me that Golem had survived with 15 health and won me my very first Pokemon league. Hearing that the low health noise has been removed from the newer ones makes me sad, because I'll not be able to get the same feeling of victory again.
