  • are you reading viola treble because the notes are different in the begging it's ' b' not 'g' can someone explain ?

  • @Aailyahcloud18 The letters G, D, Em, etc are *chord* symbols for the backing track, they are *not* the note names! The notes are B, A, G, F#, etc, written correctly in the viola clef (Alto or C clef)

  • @iceh0pe Good Question!

    NotePad does not support playable repeats or sign to coda etc, but what you can do is use the Text Tool "A" and choose a font with music symbols such as Maestro in the Text menu. Then by trying all the letters on the keyboard you might find the signs you want. "Segno" is % for example. If you go to the Help menu, it lists all the Maestro characters and how to get them.

  • @achekyule You can turn OFF the SOLO part, but you cannot turn off the backing track. All you can do is copy (control-C with the 'mass edit' tool on) the solo track and paste it into a new file. But the idea is to learn to play the solo part on your viola if you want to hear it by itself!

  • If you just want to play it on your computer, i can send you the file and a link for Finale NotePad, OR i can send a midi but then how do play along without the notation? If you want a backing mp3, I have that too, but in any case you need to send me a message with your email address.

  • they are, is just transcribed to a different clef, note all notes appear a 5th above then thier written pitch.

  • The letters are the chords, not the names of the notes. The starting notes are B, A, G, F#, E, D, E F#, etc in the alto clef.

  • Yes. So if you can play it on violin, you just play it with the same fingering on viola.
