The Green Card is sort of a legal pass you must get to work/live in America if you're not a citizen. Americans feel free to correct me if i'm wrong! Hope I answered your question!

@ambalabibo I belive that Green cards are for people who are permanent residents. Visas can give you the right to work depending on how long you are staying and the type of visa, but work visa (mostly) are given to bussiness people and students who want to work when they are over here
