  • Love this song, thanks to Dark Tranquillity. Both versions are awesome, this is the only King Diamonds song i know.

  • i miss the sounds of the 90's

  • Where's Harry Potter? LOL

  • Apparently the band members of Ensiferum weren't the only ones to see the Lady In Black. :)

  • good song

  • I knew the Dark Tranquillity version like 5 years ago. Only now I figured out it was a cover, love both versions :)

  • sCHWANZ

  • Döner

  • döner

  • DEATH SS iz my favorite band.

  • @orionconflict2007 i only like the songs kings of evil by them. especially the intro.

  • great music but kd can,t sing at all. soundz pukey, winy, annoying oh well they keep giving me this sheeeit!!!

  • @orionconflict2007 are you out of your mind???he's one of the best metal vocalists...

  • @orionconflict2007 I felt somewhat the same way when I first heard King Diamond. But you it grows on you.

  • @TheTurtleVillage very true. when i first heard king i was like "what the fuck is this?" but then the music i thought was totally kick ass and king's voice grew on me. now i enjoy it very much.

  • @maziku Yeah I know, when I bro first introduced me to "A mansion in Darkness" and "The Invisible Guests" I loved them both, afterwards I listened to "The Family Ghost" and "Welcome Home" which I hated, the vocals just sounded much weirder to me on these tracks. But since I loved the other 2 songs I became determined to become a fan of King. So I listened to the entire Abigail album in one sitting from start to finish and I fell in love. This is why people shouldn't be so close minded.

  • @TheTurtleVillage i think abigail is one of the greatest metal albums of all time. the arrangements, solos, riffs, mikkey dee's drumming, production, its all extremely polished without sounding artificial.

  • @maziku Agreed, it really is a masterpiece. But lately I've really been listening to "THEM" and think I like it even more now. "THEM" just really gives me a major sense of horror that none of the other albums seem to give me as much.

  • Epic song, best song on Time (though that's always debatable, that album is epic)

Ever notice how many people come to youtube to dislike a metal song, but we metalheads (at least I don't anyway) don't go over there rocking Beiber's boat, mainly because I can't stand his music and don't want to hear it while I'm aiming at the DL button but still, just saying if you KNOW you don't like something, why search for it?

  • Discovered by Dark Tranquillity :)

  • @Blackwaltz87 I like their version better

  • @Sperlin you must have shit in your ears then, nobody tops the Fate original

  • Dig the Uriah Heep influence (song title lifted). King has long cited Heep as an influence.

  • i'm listening this song for the first time, cause i'm exploring some better music then it is aroud me and i love it! :) great song :)

  • This has to be one of the most masterful albums of all time in my opinion. One of my fav songs on the album. The King has been an influence to so many metal artists, and even allowed metallica to record Ride the Lightning in his studio. He is a true legend.

  • this song.... never fails to give me chills

  • Master musical metal story teller.... and yes HE is THE RAREST of vocalists.... Many mainstream WELL KNOWN vocalist recognize this guys GENUINE ability...

  • @ardaona fuck off

  • King Diamond is a truly astounding singer. ASTOUNDING in range, tonality and technical skill.

It's almost a pity he went for the extreme rather than more mainstream heavy rock/metal, so that he could be exposed to a much wider audience-- but as it is he remains our little secret and is known and loved by all true metalheads.

    Hail King Diamond!

  • 2:46 and beyond......

  • I love his voices in this music . hail the king

  • wow, thanks youtube. never heard this one before but its cool. classic gothic/metal mercyfate, amazing vocal arrangement. \m/

  • @TheEarnold The whole album 'Time' is great .

  • On a magical misty morning... What a way to start a metal song. Only King, lol

  • King Diamond <3 What kind of fool can't love this song...

  • Uriah Heep, anyone?

  • @mcorneah One of his main influences.

  • yeah baby

  • why exactly could you laugh at all? Its not like its a funny opening or he sings retardedly, granted it is NOT normal by any strech but its better than people say

  • Sorry, I still laugh when I hear him start singing in this song.

  • Still light years away from the feeling and atmosphere of the original "lady in black" song.

  • beware of the evil bird on sesame street

  • Greatest song ever!!

  • The lyric of this song is both dark and very romantic!

  • Döner

  • Has a celtic/pagan feel to it.

  • It's an awesome song, but is that King Diamond singing in super-high falsetto? Because that sounds terrible.

  • @TheZombiePimpernel His voice takes a bit of getting used to, but once you do it's great

  • @TheZombiePimpernel Who else would it be? Of course it is KD.

  • kings vocal performance is spellbinding... no wonder hes my fav vocalist

  • yea 5/5

  • Yesssss one of the few least heard of gems in the M. Fate experience. Beautiful. This song should have been a bigger hit than it was.......She was here 2 take me far awayyyyyyyyyyyy....

  • First...thanks!
