  • x files scene was never about fucking drug users to begin with it was a child molestor and murderer , drug using should have never been substituted.

  • still love the x files scene as well

  • i love MY WEAKNESS by Moby! Beautifully done. you pieced it well with Requiem for a dream. Really sad show >.<

  • I pray for all and any suffering addicts out there. I wouldn't wish the depths of addiction upon my worst enemy (the man who fucked my ex-wife). May love conquer fear and bring our lost brothers and sisters back to sanity.

  • @DrCringe Kudos to you.

  • Mind altering drugs are NOT the same as mind stabilizing drugs. A person with a mental disorder or disability sometimes need to have medications for it. Mind altering drugs CHANGE a 'normal' brain into one that does not work properly.

  • Hands down one of thee all time best fan vids made that i've ever seen, bravo seriously

  • I couldn't think of a better song to go with this movie.

  • This has got to be the most depressing vid on youtube.

  • Drugs are drugs no more no less only a passport to teh undiscovered gates of mind, every single brain is diferent when we talk about drugs, however we need to search anoter forms of liberance...

  • i shoudent have seen that arm ewwwww is this real or just a song

  • ass to ass

  • sad ass movie :(

  • Ass to Ass!

  • Not all drugs are good. Some are EXCELENT !!

  • Jared Leto is one gorgeous man. :D

  • viva la drogua

  • the fake war on drugs is what is destroying people lives. Not drugs. Two guys in prison. Can't get medical attention for an infection. Having to meet in alleys with lawless machine gun thugs. Fake ass war on drugs

  • amazing

  • Reality of drug use.... how sad. And you cant just say its a movie...there are millions of REAL PEOPLE suffering from this kind of shit EVERYDAY, including my ex-girlfriend, who said "I can handle crack...to me, it isnt addictive." I feel for her...

I feel for all of them...

  • I just got an account to tell you that this is the greatest video i have seen here.

The love of drugs definitely destroyed a lot in my life, yet I always felt and feel the closest to life with drugs.

    Thanks!

  • good work

  • I"m fuckin awesome without drugs, fuck yeah !!!

  • I sit on acid.....

  • WHY DOES THIS VIDEO NEVER WORK FOR ME :@

  • drugs are good at the begining, but later , fuck's your life

  • Life should be had without the fuel of drugs.

  • HUMANS ARE MUCH WORSE THEN DRUGS; REMEMBER THAT

  • Please dont defend drugs ! Its poison for the mind and body !

  • I hate how this movie turn drugs in a bad things ..

  • suddenly i want to watch this film again and just cry.

  • I'm lucky enough to be able to say that my experience's with drugs have been nothing but positive and enriching. I've had ideas i never would have without them, I've had conversations I never would have and cemented friendships that would have gone unappreciated. While my best days enjoying drugs are behind me i have only the fondest of memories. There's one good story to stand against all the horror and shit that people inflict on themselves and those around them through the misuse of drugs...

  • 'the drug itself isnt so bad' lol obviously you must have gone thru detoxing and spent thousands of dollars w/ nothing to show for it or else u wouldnt be saying that, right?

  • I miss the days when movies like this disturbed the shit of me. I remember walking out of that movie in a daze - like I'd gone 13 rounds.

I've seen so much horrible crap on the internet that nothing disturbs me anymore.

  • drugs are good/bad...people are good/bad. It's about who YOU are. Everyone's different. Go with it.....please!

  • sad movie.

  • the saddest thing is that drug dealers try to hook up as many people as they can so that they would get their dirty money.

  • Humans have used drugs in a manner of ways for thousands of years, for pain, to be more spirtual, to feel god, to relax, to celebrate, to work hard, it is just that simple, and besides meth which is a lab drug made for death, these "drugs" occured in nature...,pyslocibin ,coca,,poppies, cannabis, they are nothing new. that being sad, moderation is the key. Also, i think work, play, children, god, sex, food, these are all addictions that all have potential to be as harmful as any chemical

  • What's YOUR Weakness...? You ain't gotta Smoke Crack to be a fiend....Check out stic man i believe

  • if you cant handle drugs you simply shouldnt use them ;)

  • @illnathruleZ Agreed :)

  • there are only very few substances u can't overdose to a point were they are lethal - cannabis is one of them(i think it would take a x5000 change in dosage). with alcohol, kokain, heroin, meth, speed,... just a 3x-10x increase in dosage can cause severe symptoms and death

  • weed is good

  • @TheHSFT FUCK YOU! LOOK AT THIS SOCIETY WE LIVE IN !

  • @19GirlBad Okay, sure, whatever lunatic. Yeah, maybe the CIA has trafficked in drugs but nobody else puts a needle in somebody else's arm.

  • Drugs kill so fuck them!!!fuck them fuck them!!when you think they are ok they just won over another human soul!!!

  • @WESSYS Exactly!!!

  • are the guy the singer from 30 seconds to mars? O.o They are kind of look alike.

  • @korlasanta yes, its the same guy

  • This is horrable and sad :(

  • Comment removed

  • was ist das für ein film...bitte kann mir das mal wehr sagen...

  • @KaroMausi89

EInfach: "Requiem for a dream" :-)

Völlig ok, sollte man mal gesehen haben.

  • Wake up people. drugs come in many forms and into the hands of many types of people. Some can be responsible for their actions but I know, all can not.

  • this is my FAVORITE movie. I've watched it like 6 times. Funny thing, I was watching this last night, then finished up the rest today...then searched up a Moby song and BOOM...Requiem For A Dream. weeeeird

  • drugs are bad but lets face it they don't enter our body without our will. It saddens me to see my friends losing their personality slowly but surly. and i can't help but see the link between the drugs they started using and this.

  • the image of drugs was made into the movies..tv, magazine..etc. The real about the drugs you can find it if you have a friend or a brother, sister...if they die or turned into another person..

  • Knowledge would save this planet, were it more ubiquitous... and excuse cliche; but the only ones we can ever change are ourselves.

    5-HT(2A) agonists are beautiful.

  • No No people are changed by other people on a daily basis because humans are social animals.. most of our decisions are influenced by some hierarchy and we in turn influence others... dialectics... i.e its easier for a smoker to quit when all of society bans smoking... you can set an example by stop smoking...

  • fuck your famili hole asshole drugs must be deletet from this planet

  • Jared Leto ;D

    I love his movies

  • I feel a sort of agony to hear this song

  • I don't speak about Aspirin... But heroin, kokain and all other !killers!

  • what are drugs?

  • Jared looks so young and he doesn't have crazy hair.

Great song, I might have to watch the film sometime.

  • It would have been better if when he got to the end of the peer it would have been a man with a beard instead of Jennifer Connely...good thing I dont write movies lol

  • @sinnnatra You should write movies xD Frikkin hilarious!!

  • If we showed this movie to potential drug users...99% would never use them.

  • @raoifty

    Doubtful

  • @raoifty and that's were you're completely wrong

  • this movie is beyond brutal

  • Congratulations. You managed to make one of the saddest, most depressive introspective films this side of Kurt Cobain blowing his head away after finding a box full of dead kittens, drowned int he tears of the innocent ever MORE depressing, sad, Cobain, dead kittens, tears of the innocent, etc. :P

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go wrap myself up in a snuggie, and eat ice cream and diet Dr. Pepper while I watch "The Hangover" to cheer me up. LOL>

Great video, it was emotional. :)

  • Fun fact about opiates; it only have a full impact on ppl who allready are in a fragile state of mind. Ppl with high self esteem and good meaningfull lifes, generally dismiss Mophine/Heroine as a bad sleeping pill.

  • That movie was so artisticly beautiful yet horrible sad.

  • This was my weakness..

  • heaviest film ever

  • @1iRa watch "cookers";)

  • Jennifer Connelly is hooooot.

  • thats the fucking soundtrack for my end

  • BTW, if you like this movie check out Candy with Heath Ledger in it. IMO possibly Heath Ledgers best movie definately up there with Brokeback Mountain.

  • Amazing film. Horrible and depressing, but still brilliant.

  • It is reverse of (i don't know) + some simple chords!

  • drugs hehe

  • pos yo digo que arriba las american power-puff eagles

  • I hateeeeeeee drugs!!!!!!

  • u must be on some at least... aint u?

  • @Hexto7 How else will your body evolve if you dont introduce new chemicals

  • @Hexto7 Don't hate what you don't understand.

  • @GottaWatchShit Really? My brother died of heroin!

For 5 years me and my familly fought, spend 200.000 euro on dr.'s and allll other pplsss. "Mafia" "jerked" on us (property). They lost.I love

I love my brother very, very much!!! I miss my Brother!!!

    My brother is dead.

  • @Hexto7 I'm sorry. I hope you can use your sorrow to help other people.

  • @Hexto7 even meth???!!!

  • @Hexto7

    Drugs aren't good.

    Drugs aren't bad.

    Drugs only are drugs :)

The one who is using drugs make them bad or good.

    bad english i know

  • @Dopemische Bad english or not, you are so right.

  • @Dopemische its about personality, some people just have addictive personalities. I have done drugs, enyoyed it but know when to stop.

  • anyone notice how the pier scene is very similar to the one in Dark City?

  • @Dopemische You are a total moron.

  • @Djenkov No he isn't. He made a great point!

  • @Seanus32 Yes he is and so are you. Most of the "drugs" are MADE for PURPOSE and therefore are bad alongside with the people who made them and the people who are using them.

Sorry if my english is not good.

  • @Djenkov I see your point, Djenkov, I really do. However, he was trying to say that drugs are what you make them. Some people derive great benefit from hashish, others don't. Go in with no expectations and you might be pleasantly surprised. I also dislike some dealers who don't care if you live or die. They are made for a purpose, yes, but you can relax into them if you are so inclined/predisposed.

You can't label people so precisely sometimes!

  • @Hexto7 drugs are a gift from nature. Dugs allow you to explore different states of mind. They reveal things you could never have seen contious. If people dont know how to control themselves thats other thing.

  • @Hexto7 - you eat sugar, drink coffee/beer, ever take a sleeping pill, even a herbal one? All these things are drugs too, by definition.

  • @Hexto7 have you ever tried them?

  • @thedeeptone1986 Have you ever seen someone's life destroyed by them? Have you ever had someone choose drugs over you or their own kids or family? These things destroy.

  • @TheHSFT no because I dont hang around with weak minded smack heads. you could put the same argument forward for alcohol... but thats ok because its legal, but yet it kills more and destoys more than any other drug. If alcohol was introduced today it would be class A. Not all drugs lead to destruction of everything around them Ive smoked weed for the past 13 years and had a couple years on and off with MDMA and coke when clubbing and I earn £800 a week and have 3 kids

  • @TheHSFT you have to be pretty narrow minded to think that everybody who takes drugs is the same. at the end of the day life is a journey full of different experiences, its how we handle and approach tham that defines us.

  • @Hexto7 but u love the feeling :)

  • i absolutely........ adore it!

  • i found this music in x-files :)

  • I didn't see the movie but its sooooo sad that Marion decided to "use" her self for drugs........ :(..... She deserves more than that............. Addiction is intense. Its like u feel down in a hole so deep u couldn't climb or crawl out of it. Never use drugs. The ending of the movie is so true........................

  • @Denfer1000

Drugs is a very broad term to use...the types of drugs they focus on in 'Requiem for a Dream' are mainly heroin and crack..those are the drugs you should stay away from(among several others)...hash and weed on the other hand (smoked responsibly,as silly as it sounds, and in reasonable amounts) are cool and not as harmful as you might think they are...

  • Ya i know but u should also stay away from meriuana. which is called the gateway drug or something. U start meriuana u sooner or later gonna be using other drugs. ( i started learning about drugs ^_^

  • did u just post this to piss me off? or u believe in what u say?

  • @6marilyn6mans0n6 to piss you off...... no jk haha um i think i've used some drugs.... i dont know really but i'm sure it was for medical reason, if you consider some pills that help with diseases or something drug i mean..... well idk really......

  • @Denfer1000 that's a load of propaganda horseshit. i used to smoke pot. i never used anything else. i stopped when they pot that's selling got so strong i thought i was having a heart attack. that sobered me up.

  • @TheHSFT thats just called being really stoned

  • the question is: are drugs dangerous because we're playing with 'em or are we playing with drugs, because they are dangerous?

the drug itself isn't so bad, but most of the people aren't able to use them responsible. thats the problem about drugs (or should i say "harum-scarums"?)

sry for bad english, still learning...

  • ya people should just use em for medicine. People keep trying them and get themselves hooked. The positive way to avoid being addicted to a drug is to never try the drug unless needed.............

  • @fantscher I would say, don't take drugs and then there will be no problems. It is simple as that.

  • @fantscher anphetamines get a bad rap. Calling a drug bad is like blaming 9/11 on Boeing.

  • your exactly right. the softer drugs are ok in small amounts and taken responsibly. some people dont know when to stop.

  • @fantscher The question is... As we have a neuron receptor specifically for marijuana, ie: we have evolved together through time, what are the effects of not having it?

  • @Kinkspace You don't need it to activate it. We produce a chemical that is the human equivalent to THC, it's called Anandamide. It can be produced through quality exercise or eating pure chocolate, among other things. That's where the terms 'hikers high' and 'runners high' come from

  • @sundar213 You really did not understand my statement nor the consequences/implications of your suggestion.

  • @Kinkspace Consequences? On a Youtube message board?

    Get over yourself.

My suggestion is a fact. Not that anybody will pay much attention to it because it's a YOUTUBE MESSAGE BOARD. Please, feel free to drone on with your melodramatic drivel. I won't read it.

  • @sundar213 Your perception, your baggage, you carry it.

  • @sundar213 Or should I say your weakness :)))

  • @fantscher u oversimplify. most drugs are dangerous when we overdose, in a way that they harm us physically. all of them can bring psychological harm in longterm users by altering reality to a point where life without them becomes too hard and joyless bec they interfere with our natural Dopamin- reward system.

that said, with a lot of discipline and right application they can take us to new places we could not reach without them, without putting ourself in danger, but its a thin line to take

  • @fantscher I beleave its because most ppl cant imagine the harm drug can do to you if abuse em... But in the other hand theres a group of ppl who come overprotective because they dont know what to expect, cuz they never tried drugs.

I dont really like cynthectic drugs, I beleave that all drugs that come from nature are the best, tho it not good idea to abuse em aswell.

    Peace.

  • "Fatcher" you have obviously never been in the merciless grip of drug addiction. Step out of your high school intellectualization of what drugs are and face the fact ALL mind altering drugs are useless. We can achieve much greater highs on our own, most people are just too unimaginative to try.

  • @allthingshonest yes, thats your opinion, mrs i-hate-alcohol-cigarettes-and-any-kind-of-sth-that-i-would-never-do-because-sb-told-me. but maybe you should open your mind just a little bit and admit, that your point of view is not the only one, and that theres no "right" opinion... you maybe believe in some kind of god, i believe in the strength of mind. everyone who is addicted is completely self-responsible, because he played with fire! i never pointed out that drugs are useless or not...

  • @allthingshonest I'd actually go further to say stop imagining anything. The greatest high is when you get real

  • @allthingshonest wow,you spoke my mind.couldn t agree more

  • @allthingshonest So you think all mentally disabled people would do better without drugs? I agree that far to many people are prescribed drugs which they dont need. But I think its taking it a bit too far saying all mind altering drugs are useless.

  • That drugs are a facile means of achieving a 'high' is obvious;but it is fallacious to consider the use of drugs as "not on our own". It is absurd to moralize about what is 'natural'. It is easy to imagine behaviors that are more harmful to one's own sense of self than 'drugs'. There is nothing intrinsic about a substance that is either useful or useless; there are stronger or weaker contingencies upon which future behaviors are based. The movie is about 'addiction' not 'drugs'.

  • @allthingshonest you cant achieve greater highs on your own. You just dont know what its like.

  • @DenaliMt what the hell is that supposed to mean? what is your purpose in saying that?

  • non sense commentary! are the drugs dangerous because we play with them or ... drugs are chemicals that causes chemical reactions in our body as many other substances in the world, in the nature. every molecule in the universe has a physical - chemical effect and without losing generality, a reaction is generated from the affected element. thatś why drugs affect people.

  • @fantscher answer: drugs genrally are bad. i am a psychologist and the effects of drugs causes some acute mental disorders that really hurt people. i always find people do better when they find their purpose and live life with only the energy they create.

  • I watched this movie when i was 14.... ouch :S.

I was depressed for like a week.

  • this movie made me never want to do drugs...

  • it was really sick to see this film

i dont really know what the thoughts behind this video were but its worth watching

  • freaky film with an mindblowing finish!!!!! u must watch!!!!!

  • I watched the movie after watching this clip, i had never heard of it before seeing this video.

To put it simply the film is 'Brilliant' must watch!

    Ofc moby's music is legendary

  • I jog to this song, it makes me cry and is just so perfect for my runs in the woods, makes me think of my past, childhood and the love of my life

  • dis is a fucked up film

  • this is just an anti drug movie

  • this is a movie about the abuse of any drug, either the one your dealer a cross the street gave you or the dealer with the white jacket and a certificate.

This movie is beautifull and I actually felt really bad inside watching it. One of the best movies i ever saw.

  • I'm gonna get that movie. The wow-effect worked just fine. . . . . And yes, the song is also great. ;) Still love Moby =)

  • why put a song from the hollacoust for the background?

  • The hollicoust? I must have missed domething

  • yea google my weakness by moby he is jewish an was affected by the hollacoust so much that he wrote a song

  • hollacoust?!? you mean the holocaust?

  • @JeffPhilly420

sorry bro but you're an idiot...Moby was born in 1965, the holocaust (H-O-L-O-C-A-U-S-T) took place during world war two in the early fourties...and he wasn't a jew, he was a christian.

this song has NOTHING to do with the holocaust...get over it.

  • i think i heard that he actually used the sadness he felt from sotries of the holocaust in order to make this song

  • BELLO JARED *_*

  • Absolutely stunning movie and great track for it and the reason for saying this is because, it simply makes you tripping as well. You become one with the heroes in the movie, u feel what they feel and you hope what they hope. After seeing it it's impossible not to feel regret for the way things went, though everything flows so naturally. So, it's not "just a movie" in the Hollywood-commercialistic way.

  • I love this movie

  • Thank you.:)

  • LOL i gotta hand it to you that's a pretty good one. I honestly apologize about my last comments. Can we just forget the past and start new? Will you be my friend?

  • As to txguy 1980. You're simple thought of putting this song to this movie is incredible. Its to bad that Moby didnt write the song until after the movie came out

  • Neither one dies in the movie. It is gangrene if you will, a severe infection that happens to some shooters. The fact that you would pass on seeing this movie shows your true ignorance. This movie is a piece of artwork. TRUE GENIUS. I will assume you are one of those people that thinks they know all about addiction and really you dont know shit. This movie would be a good learning experience for you Smirvodka4. .

  • If I choose to see or not see a film isn't ignorance. Its a choice.

And it may well be a good film, or it may not be. If you think its a good film, that's great. Glad you liked it.

And I would not assume what I know about addiction. I know more than I would ever care to know. I don't need a fictional film to *teach* me anything, movies are entertainment. Yes, they can be inspirational entertainment, but they're just that....a movie.

  • The fundamental flaw in your logic is that you are assuming that what YOU know is paramount. I think that you are... overly dismissive of a legitimate avenue to warn others of the dangers of addiction. Yes, you and I may have been already dragged through the hells of addiction, but you fucking know what? I'm not going to sneer at this film or this song, if it causes even one person to consider the potential outcome of their actions *before* they are committed to them.

  • Great film and the music makes me cry I jog in the woods to this song makes you think about what is important in life

  • I remember I found this song when I saw the ending in the movie "The Salton Sea". I can't recall how many times I have used this track if I had problems sleeping. So good.

  • i love this song. i heared it in the movie "any given sunday" with al pacino and in the x- files in the episode where mulder find out that his sister died. the movie requiem for a dream is great too. i have seen it yesterday. very hard end. after the movie my head was full of thoughts.

  • I love this song!!! I heard it before in an episode of "The X-Files", and it was perfect for the scene.

Its such a soul pulling song, so bittersweet.

I've never seen this film, and judging by the reviews I think I'll avoid seeing it. Would someone tell me, what is it about? It appears to be about a loving couple who get hooked on drugs, and one of them dies? That arm scene is nasty! Is it gangrene that he has?

I agree with who said anyone who has felt loss can appreciate this song.

  • If you think that not taking drugs is as simple as an intellectual decision, you are just advertising your inexperience and your arrogance. We're not all made the same. Our reactions are not all the same.

This movie, this song, opens in me an emotional singularity: something so powerful that nothing can escape its pull.

Any person who has dealt with drug addiction can appreciate the movie 'Requiem for a Dream', any person who has felt loss can appreciate the song 'My Weakness'.

  • The film is incredible... You need to think that these things happen really, somwhere out there.. Just incredible, think about it and stop taking drugs, they just ruin your life.. Maybe its a incredible feeling but its just a fealing its not the reallity, And it isnt a way to get out of problems or bad moments.. You need the help or love of friends or persons that you love. Thats the only way to get through these moments..
