    "who knows" sounds.

    AJP

  • Nice job. Can't wait to see this song live this summer when Rush goes on tour!

  • @easttcobb

    Thanks Much!!

Yeah. Every time they play here they just rock the house. I see them in NJ typically at the PNC center for the past many tours.

Much Fun to see play live!! I love the bottom end of the tom effects for this tune. AWESOME>

    Thanks for checkin out!!

    AJP

  • awesome. need to see the kit more tho...

  • @humbledrumah Yeah I agree. Was limited to just putting the camera in 1 spot. The room is a 10' x 15' uhaul storage facility so not much room.

    Thanks for watching.

    Adam

  • moving pictures = masterpiece... i cant wait till july 5th rush

    PEACE!!

    AJP

  • Adam!!! Damn MAN!!! Your frickin AWESOME!!!!

I've been a Rush and Neil fan for 35 years!!

    Great job guy!!!

  • @CSXer Hello & thanks much for watchin the video. Rush RULES & Cannot wait to see them again shortly. I have always been quite impressed with Neil's manurism's alone let alone his frickin killer playing. I also like his humbleness.

    ROCK ON!

    Adam

  • Dude , be your self not Neil.

  • Thanks for the advice however I play the way I play! This is a tribute to Mr. Peart as I mainly watched his style of playing growing up. I don't think I come close to playing like Neil but appreciate your input.

    PEACE OUT!

    AJP

  • what kind of drums are they

  • @wrigley100

    Hello.

The drums are the DW Pacific LXE's. I dig the sound & quality craftsmenship for the $.

    Do you play??

  • Adam way to go man thats an awesome song and you pulled it off..thanks for sharing!

  • Thank YOU for watching!! Much appreciated! Am hoping to put a new video up soon of some more fun stuff.

    PEACE OUT!

    AJP

  • Great kit man, Rush is the best. Neil is a god.

  • naw man......no sequencers here.....i just go at the kit itself.

i play bass and guitar too,and mess with the effects on those instruments..........

    keep the tunes coming man.........

    cheers.......fly

  • dude..........nicely done.

i like how you drop the effects in there too......what's your sample unit?

  • Hey Man.

Thanks! I use three different units. The Roland TD10 for drum type sounds. A Roland 2080 for Key board type effects & a EMU 2000 sampler. I dig the effect of combining a deep electronic floor tom with an acoustic tom. You can get some really kool bottom type of effects using the two.

DO you use any triggers.? Play with any sequencers?

    Okay. LAter!

    AJP

  • Amazing! Woah, drums + Christmas lights + Rush = Wow! 5/5 :)

  • HAHA Funny. You Rock!!!

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YA!!!

    AJP

  • Happy holidays to you!

  • Hi mate, how did you get your recording sound?? I cant see many or any mics closely mounted to the drums, but you still get a fairly good sound!! What mics did you use to record and where did you position them?? And whats the name of the acoustic panelling foam stuff on the walls?? Cheers

  • The Panels are made by "Auralex". Great product.

The recording is actually from a friends camera built in mic believe it or not. I am surprised my self.

Thanks for checkin my vids out.

    PEACE OUT!

    AJP

  • Wow,so it must be a pretty great sounding room

  • Crazy... Neil's my favorite drummer; Rush my favorite band; I also just happen to have a Pearl drum set that is deep wine red w/black hardware(is that a Pearl set you're playing?). I also have a rope light just like that attached to my drum rack- creepy! Nice cover of Vital Signs, man! Keep on drumming!

  • Neil ROCKS!!! The kit is a Dw Pacific in Tiger ash. I added the rope light for "bling" haha. I could do better on Vital signs though. There are mistakes! I need to make a new video.

    THANKS KINDLY!

    Adam J Pliss

  • Nice lights across the drum kit! ...lol. I guess you know how crazy RUSH is then!!! lol

  • Thanks. Just some rope lighting I thought would enhance the video. RUSH has been the most influential band in my life & many more people that they probably aren't even aware of.

    KOOL! Do you play drums??

    AJP

  • Yes, they are one of the greatest and influential bands of all time! The lyrics tell about real world situations and it speaks out from the mind. Also yes I do play drums. I have been playing for about 3-4 years, but your drum kit puts mine to shame. lol

  • Nice job man, and also nice kit to boot. And I too own a Tama kit, 5 piece with a set of remo rototoms and zildjian cymbals, and also 2 wuhan chinas.

  • KOOL! Thanks Man!! I love the Wuhans. Cheap price & amazing effect.

    PEACE OUT!

    Adam J Pliss

  • Nice playing, cool kit, and great room.

  • Thats much appreciated. the room is a Uhaul rental place. I tried to make it as acoustically correct as possible. Do you play? What kinda drums ya got?

    Thanks kindly!

    AJP

  • sooo soo awesome!

  • Great playing Adam ! Only been playing 3 or 4 years ? You sound more like 13 or 14 years to me. I always used to struggle trying to keep up with Neil.Back in the day,I never missed a Rush concert.Saw Rush in St. Lou. on: 4/15/76, 2/13/77, 1/18/78, 12/13/78, 3/5/90.Maybe some more, don't have every stub.Always awesome shows. The first was in a small theater,The Ambassador. After that in arenas.Got old & busy & didn't see a lot of shows after the earlier years.Great recording of your drums & playing!

  • Funny. I know what you mean. I am still struggling as there are so many avenues of drumming to work on. Thanks kindly for the words.

    AJP

  • I really love that bass drum. Beautiful sound with that cymbal.

  • Hey Thank you much!!

Bass drum is a 22" by DW, PDP LXE. Also the cymbals are Paiste signatures. They feel awesome!!

    Do you play?

    PEACE OUT!

    AJP

  • Yeah man. I have a 6 piece Tama kit with a full set of Sabian cymbals. But would rather have a DW kit, and Zildjians but couldn't afford either of them. Been playing for about 3 or 4 years.

  • Ya know. I do love DW. Even the lower end PDP line rocks!!!

If possible, check them out. Amazing work in them & the sounds are really kickin. Very reasonable prices.

    PEACE OUT!!

    AJP

  • AWESOME KIT and setup, nice compilation, and great skills. Very well done, sir. Keep spreading the word about the Professor.

  • Why thank u for the kind words. It is an honor to speak with another person touched by Neil's gifts.

    PEACE OUT A!

    AJP

  • nice job man -love the rude splash

  • Hey Thanks Alot Man!

I love the 8" over the ride.

    PEACE OUT!

    AJP

  • Hey Adam .. great stuff. Excellent sounding drums, great technique. Looking forward to more.

  • so your drums are the pdp lx all maple?? im playing the dw collectors in black ice with chrome hardware!!! by the way very good drumming!!!!! the pdp drums sound really good!! i had a set wen they first came out and te onl problem i had with them was the lugs would stripout on me

  • Black ice. Nice colors. I do dig the sound out of them(PDP). The lugs have not stripped but they go out of tune fast. I seem to always be tuning them. I had the stands powder coated black. Which cymbals are ya using? Do u use electronics?

  • Comment removed

  • u using sabian paragons???

  • No. I am using Paiste Singatures. I do like the sound of the Paragons alot but I wanted to try a new look & feel & went with the signature series from Paiste. I do have my Zildjians but am using these now.

What about you. What line are you using?

    ADAM

  • Fucking blown away

  • Thank you kindly. Do you play at all? Drums I find can be really challenging.

    PEACE OUT

    AJP

  • Yes I do, check my channel out. I've got a couple Rush covers.

  • Comment removed

  • p.s. what brand of drums and heads?

  • that fill with the double bass at 4:02... you nailed it. fuckin wicked. nice video.

  • Thanks much!I tried. These are the DW LX Series with DW heads. Half clear with coated edges. I like them alot. The drums are a bit out of tune though. Do you play? What kind of kit do ya got?

  • Lately I haven't done much drumming, since I live in an apartment. My acoustic set is a cheap Dixon Duke and my electric set in a Yamaha DTXpress III. I hope to buy a house soon so that I can assemble a massive Neil-inspired hybrid. :) I was thinking of using Yamaha Stage Custom. Have you tried them? Am I right in thinking the DWs are very expensive? Do you have a video on how you tune your heads?

  • Hey Man. I do like the stage custom. I think that now a days, the kits that are being made at the cheaper costs, sound quite amazing. I heard the new Gretsch entry level kits & they sound really kool. I have the DW LXE series which sound quite kool (once tuned) & have heard the pacific line DW 805 which are cheap but can get a lot of mileage on it. For $500 - $750, you can get a nice 4-5 piece which will last many years. I have a Blue DW LXE I would like to get rid of.

    AJP

  • Hey if you really want to be like Neil, go to Ebay and search "peart caps" and you can find this dude who makes neil peart caps. i bought a snakes and arrows cap from him.

  • HEY.

THANKS MUCH! KOOL! I will check into that & get back to ya.

    PEACE OUT!

  • awsome how much does the snakes and arows kit sell for

  • HEHE!

DW PDF LXE with black powder coated DW stands.

There line sounds really good! Also using new Paiste's around the set which I really dig.

    PEACE OUT AH!

    AJP

  • Adam...great work Let me know when yu want to do that "Rush Tribute" love Rush one of my favorite bands.

  • I've jammed with Adam before and can tell you he is TOP NOTCH! It's tough to find musicians who not only claim to be devout Rush fans, but who can also put their skills where there mouth is. Rock on Adam!
