@eknick if that was a bluefin tuna it'd be small that's a yellowfin tuna in which case it's average. The'res yellowtail, albacore, and bigeye tuna. There might be more.
@allumirati absolutely correct. That's a very nice size for yellowfin, however, they can and do get much bigger as well.
And you're also correct with the yellowtail being part of the jack family, The waters are warming up, hopefully the yellowtail run will happen in CA soon.

@allumirati sorry yellowtail isn't actually tuna it's a member of the jack family. I'm doing my research too :P.
