This made me cry... Not because it was the separation of Prussia and Germany, but because it was the separation of Ludwig and Gilbert... REAL PEOPLE experienced this. I think this video is brilliant and the song is gorgeous.
@BadLuckXIII Wow, your comment is exremely true. I dont really like Hetalia fans that dont really take into account what has really happened to the people in those countries. I am half Prussian, and I love Germany and Prussia (not only the characters, the real thing) and this made me cry, seeing what many people went through, and so many lives were ruined.
@abbyshadowwolf Well, considering real people and events kind of comes with the history degree :) I'm used to thinking in terms of facts and stories, how people influence history and how they make it, so of course when I saw this, that's what hit me!

And I like your refference to the Berlin Wall. Such a sad event, my mom's older friend was there when it fell down. Such a sad piece of history, to think so many people were seperated from friends and loved ones.

Ludwig and Gilbert are soo cute!! the story is really sad but at least it has a happy ending when they are reunited when the Berlin Wall came down.

Well, if you look at it like THAT (with Ludwig and Gilbert) then yeah, this is an awesome AMV :D!!!
But.... the truth is it wasn't just 2 Germans.... It was whole families. Thousands of families.
History is not a fandom. It is an interest.
