god could have given us 1 but god decided to give us 7. of course. or perhaps the medical fertility treatment she was given which is what the report was about did it -.-
@jshaw313 do u know why she died well dis was because wen dey used de adult tissue cells dey didnt know dat they would accelerate the aging process due to de fact dat dey were old already
Think about it. God made each and every one of us different from each other, which makes each and every one of us special in our own way. Now if we were to clone people, what about us makes us special if we have a copy?
@iiyo710 God must be very busy because there are a lot of human , animal and other type of species were born everyday. If we successfully cloning human and other species, then god will have more time "helping" us. Guess god can't hear many people praying because he's busy making living things. lol. can't believe people still believe in creator nowadays.
am i stupid for saying this or does this mean one day when we master brain surgery we could clone someones brain and if they had say, dementia we could swap their brain?
if anyone has cared to look this up further, Dolly eventually died at the age of 6 years old, with signs of old age. Her species usually live to 12 years old, meaning Dolly die prematurely. This is probably linked to epigenetics effects, where certain key developmental stages are skipped due to cloning
amazing how single sided humans are, kill the animal change the way they are, treat them like tools fro the sake of humans, those damn scientists should test it on them selves
@skyarsalan if the discovery means medical breakthroughs, I personally won't mind sacrificing animals for the benefit of humans. If you don't like it, then next time you get sick, don't bother taking any pharmaceutical drugs, because all those drugs are tested on animals. Or better yet, tell a diabetic person not to take insulin, because insulin was discovered by tying off pancreatic ducts in dogs, which is cruel, right?
rofl, thanks for proving my point you intellectual wannabe. What is the point of not using medicine that has already been tested on by animals? Let all that suffering go to waste? Yes, I do see the point were they would do it less if people refused the medicine, but that is not going to happen on a real world situation. I'm not saying its not necessary your fucking idiot, I'm saying it's cruel and its selfish. I guess all those humans going after animals that kill humans is not?
@skyarsalan so by your logic, we should use all the medicine that we've already invented, but stop inventing new ones? What about diseases that are currently incurable, yet we can potentially cure them in the near future? how do you tell the parents who are waiting to have their children get a cure, that animals are more important than their kids?
@skyarsalan also you do realize that there's an animal ethics committee that all science research has to get approval of before conducting experiments right? it's not like they do whatever they want in an unrestrained format
you've got some ego don't you? What will you do in your life time? invent a new law of physics? Thats the funny thing about humans, we take credibility for stuff we have not done. We say "we have created electricity, we have said we have created technology, but I would love to see a man with no previous education try to explain how a toaster works, or better yet, try to even imagine a toaster". Think that over in your box of a house.
probably one day but for now, u would actually need a living dinosaur to insert the embryo in so that a dinosaur can be born. just like how they cloned dolly. that would be awesome though
@steo2008 As Svante Paablo could tell you, that might be possible, but very difficult. When an organism dies, there's nothing to maintain their DNA, so it unravels and denatures. You might still be able to find fragments of DNA which could offer clues to the organism's genetic code, but putting those fragments back into a working genome would be extremely difficult. Plus, in fossils there's no DNA whasoever remaining, so you'd need to use one of the rare natural mummies.
@steo2008 there are NO dinosaur bones on de planet hahahahaha there are fossils though but all they are is just imprints of bones not the actual bone itself

Dolly was cloned by Scottish scientists yet you interview an American :/

the only bad thing is clones don't last long, maybe half the life of the first sheep
so, when they can make the clone live long, they accomplished
