Bob, Take a model rocket chute from your local hobby shop. Been watching your videos from #18 of the B1 prodject, Great job on the F-105 looks assume!!! Can't
get enough of Bob TV. Glad that Bob sr. doing good like seeing him in the shop..
Dave, MA ps
Gardner jet rally is coming in Aug. here in MA come on out and fly the 105 love to see it.
you should have a contest for peolpe to tell you what plane they would like you to build then pick a winner and build it, I would vote for a superhornet
check at a toy store for a Barbie or Ken umbrella for the small chute. If the barbie comes with it, feed her to the zombie. Only need to take out the structure and saw the cords.
I had the same idea as adrick only with a micro switch that runs off the door only when fully open. Have it trigger a simple servo something like the ones in automotive that are for door poppers. Next project should be an Avro Arrow powered by two of those turbines. Id even drive to Kansas to help with that one!
If you could have a pin to hold the platform down until the hatch is fully open then it might pop out the shoot without the door getting in the way. Just a thought. James
also next project an english electric lightning with 2 p200's :) now that would be awsome to hear and look at and if built i would fly all the way from the uk to the states to see it, 1/3 or 1/4 scale =]
easy fix to this bob just take a piece of string and tie it to the tip of the door and then tie it to the lip on the fuselage and the put the parachute on top of the string so when the door opens the string underneath parachute will tighten up and pull the chute as the door opens. I will make a sketch on here if you would like.
BIG Thumbs up to dad! hope he gets well very soon, as he does not want to miss the maiden flight and good look to y'all from us all in the UK... keep it up and stay lucky!
What about a small piece of mesh screen on the chute door. The wind wil blow through the screen when the door is deployed and blow the chute out.. When closed the screen when painted you wont even see it. At those speeds you wont need of a large opening for the screen. No need for a small chute if it works. It will blow it out from behind.
Bob thanks for another great vid. I'm just wondering about you middle name. You say that you want BAM on the little chute. Does that mean that your full name could be Bob Adam Moore (BAM) just a funny thought. Keep the cook stuff coming. Wish I could lay-up like you do. My race planes would be killers.
i think ya should build an Aermacchi mb339 next

Cylinder...Sorry.. :(:(

Maybe you need another air cylander to open the hatch a lot faster....

Needs to be reprogrammed to be more linear dude...

Putting "BAM!" on a chute would be icing on the cake! You could sell those too :D
Best of luck to your Dad. Get well soon :)

Bob,
Put a spring loaded floor under your chute. When you deploy it, the spring will kick it out.

Bob, are you going to try the Foam-Carbon layup for a new B-1?
The Video quality and color balance from the new camera are wonderful...it really looks good.

I saw some 'super athlete' doing sprints at the park with a little drogue parachute. Yeah, he looked retarded.
