  • this movie shows that the world is run by the idiots and the rest of the humans are idiots and slaves and this is the west and east now or the life in the planet earth where humans are all zombies. Freud and Nitche and Marx killed all of us

  • great movie that shows what is going on today when the elites live the messy west for the remote quite life in the islands and the west is run still with slavs and the funny is that in the end of the movie near the leader who dress as pope or jesuit was an asian who replaced the elite of the west who was going to replace the leader showing that west will have in the future an asian leader

  • brainwashed children remind me both eat and west educations, medias, masses, elites, intelligences which turn to robot human animals and I experience this for 22 years in east and 22 years in west,in communism and capitalism which were both the same shit, monopolism, frainkeshtain societies and man made systems, animals, slaves systems

  • To be awake, is to be alive...so glad I'm not asleep anymore, scary but real

  • bloody soma killed grandma!

  • I get so tired of hearing the it's not like the book complaint. Why can't we just enjoy the movie as it is?

  • we are the sum of our choices. that's what we have a conscience for

  • That girl needs a slap in the face

  • this movie was so scary it was freakin hilarious!!

  • ORGY PORGY GIVES RELEASE

  • "Brave New World is a 1998 television movie loosely based on Aldous Huxley's novel Brave New World. The film stars Peter Gallagher and Leonard Nimoy. It is an abridged version of the original story." ~ Wikipedia.

I'm deducing that this movie was not suppose to be exactly like the book.

They did a great job making this movie, in my opinion.

It is obviously completely different from the book, so I don't understand why many of you are disappointed in it. Doing justice to the bookornot, agoodmovie.

  • WOW I have been reading some of the negative comments. Unbelievable. Thanks 7universos for uploading this. Sure it's different than the book, but it's still better than a lot of the trash from today. It's always great to see Leonard Nimoy!

  • An okay low buget movie(nothing like the book)

    i kinda enjoyed it

  • In this world there is a trade off, you live a relatively safe and comfortable life where today in the real world you have all of the negative aspects of BNW, but none of the perks if you can call them that.

  • So wasn't the outside world overrun by mad max like savages on bikes ? I mean could they just live happily ever after no problem ?

  • Go to the UN website and read "AGENDA21" to see what they have planned for YOU.

  • @IronRangeSurvival You are the man!

  • What? I wanted to see the ending, where everyone ends up having sex with each other!? BASTARDS!!!

  • i never toke my cotton balls out of my ears since childhood

  • 23 people are deltas!

  • @Pittstudent21 you mean Alphas, since they didn't like it... 65 are Epsilons though... this movie IS a piece of crap...

  • Worst movie ever.

  • lol all the brain washed kids in this movie are white, just like in real life.

  • @Quiksilver209 shouldnt say white kids.. clearly u have never lived in europe :)

  • @Quiksilver209 you must be joking

  • @Quiksilver209 if thats what u think ur retarded...the ghetto youths have it the worst...just look at th emusic they listen too...dosent matter your race we need to come together

  • what happened to the book? Is this a good filmization? I just skimmed it and i'm missing some things...

  • @rocco133 this movie is vastly different from the book, so if this was an assignment do not rely on this when taking a test. a more accurate version would be the 1960's BBC's version of BNW. you can find it on youtube, it's awful -but accurate.

  • All I have to say is..... Equilibrium did a better Job at trying to even capture the brave new world concept.

Loved the book but this movie was terrible. Even if you didn't read the book ... This movie was awful.

  • nice ending!

  • holy shit what a disappointment

  • You know they messed up when Lenina went to visit Bernard for the first time in his new DHC's office, down below you saw some dated cars drive by on the street. In a movie that avoided showing cars, other than some scenes where you see car headlights, so they did not have to worry about making them look futuristic. Opps!

  • Time to write my summer reading paper

  • @CelioTheCyborg same here. this movie doesn't help at all

  • Thanks for sharing this: When I read the book, I was really sad about John's role, Bernard, and the society of the brave new world. In the book, it essentially said that we're no better than what we're taught, that once a system like this is made, its here forever. In this movie, there's hope for improvement: Bernard and Lenina get to have love, John is a hero to those who aren't too blind to see, and Gabriel, that kid, shows promise for change in the future. So, thanks again for sharing =)

  • if its illegal to give birth then wouldn't they have just spayed and neutered everyone instead of trusting that everyone would take their pill? THey'd probably just put something in the water.

  • Aldous Huxley wrote this book before the concept of genetic engineering came about. In the book the different "castes" if you will, differed physically because substances like alcohol would be added to their uterine tanks or something like that. If you ever read GUNNM (Battle Angel Alita), The dystopian city of Tiphares was similar the the Brave new world. all children are assigned to parents and all citizens are "born" sterile. Also, there are public suicide booths.

  • fight this evil

  • gosh..such little brats... hate the freakin little kids..

  • It is ironic that our controllers today, use the premise of a future utopian society as an excuse for bringing about eugenics and population control. Yet without these control hungry psychopaths destroying the minds of the population at large, via mass media brainwashing and food/drink/medicine tampering, we would be a lot better off. Ok, maybe not a paradise, but it would be better than it is now. The people who want "world order" are the same people destroying the fabric of mankind.

  • Art!

  • To be honest, the basic tenants of their world were WAAAY BETTER than the savage real world. The problem is that humans were just as f#cked in the film as they are in real life that massive brain washing is constantly needed.

Unfortunately only 15 – 20% of the human populations throughout history were actually civil & good. Most humans are either indifferent & can flow either way (good or bad) or are truly savage worst than animals in real life.

  • @Sogwa

.............It’s b/c the large % of truly savage humans that a ‘’new world order’’ void of abusive religion, passion, & thought is needed. Or at least those advocating 4 it feels so as that is the only way to truly make the world a better place.

The root problem (outside that 40 – 50% of humans are inhuman savage) is that the leaders & organizers are even that much more savage, evil, & corrupt!

  • Anyone who enjoyed the book should just ignore this piece of crap and go watch the Burt Brinckerhoff version.

  • in the book they are scared to death(beacuse of conditioning)to even be NEAR a book!

  • she's having achild with bernard marx? she doesn't even like him in the book

  • I really liked this ending (the child scene is amazing) thanks for the movie!

proves that we don't need great specials effects in every single movie

  • what is this?! yet again... terribley inaccurate. lenina was a complete idiot who would never birth a child and bernard was a pathetic short guy with self pity through out the whole book!

  • The eerie part of this is that, like in 1984, the vast majority of people are blissfully happy. The most disturbing fact it reveals about us now is that we desire misery.

  • @HToothrot You`re missing the point . The " happiness " that Soma produces is merely a simulation , even a mockery of true bliss . Soma`s effects are like that one might get from a pleasant dream . You might giggle & smile but you`re not really happy . Infact , you`re not really feeling anything at all . Shakespeare`s most important message that John tried to convey was that without pain , without sadness , without pathos , true joy cannot exist .

  • @1993MovieMan Yea, there is more then one point.

  • @1993MovieMan

Why in the HELL would I or any civilized humane person want 2 experience pain, hurt, disease, sadness, loneliness, & death just to experience ‘’ true happiness & joy’’?!?!

Whatever the horrific reason suffering on this earth is so, there is NO good reason or excuse to want or desire it! Suffering is horrible period! Why would anyone want the pain & suffering of unrequited love ..............

  • @Sogwa Clearly , you either don`t understand or don`t appreciate the true depth of the human experience so let me enlighten you . Pain is a part of life . You can either fight to overcome it or run away from it like a coward and pretend it doesn`t exist which is exactly what the citizens of the " World State " do ! There is nothing admirable about that or demonizing the Family Unit !

  • @1993MovieMan

Ending the family unit is not good. Accepting & welcoming pain, evil, injustice, etc. is even worst.

Unfortunately pain & suffering is a horrible part of life. And yes, I am one to avoid & run from it!

However, avoiding problems & pain is NOT cowardly, it helps keep your sanity & humanity! The more pain & suffering 1 endures, the more numb they become!

Nature & life are cruel enough! Trivial man made crap is pointless! .....

  • @Sogwa

...................Eradicating human caused suffering (such as war, love or lack there of, bullying, etc.) is a good thing!! You’ll still natural disasters & bad luck. So how & why is it honorable & noble 2 stress out over unnecessary human issues?!?! & how on earth is avoiding & running from it cowardly?!?!

Doing the latter keeps your sanity & stress under control. Dealing with it offers you more opportunities to become numb!

  • @Sogwa When I asked " why the " World State " considers romantic commitment heretical , there`s a simple answer ! Control ! They want commitment to be to The Community , not an individual !

  • @1993MovieMan

Love for your dog, cat, grandma is TRUE love. Love for your kids or parents are usually true love however you hear of kids murdering their parents, fathers molesting & impregnating their girls, & parents dumping & not caring for the kids they begot – how true is that love?

As for lust, chemical reaction/addiction, & other FALSE elements of ‘’being in love’’….. chemical addictions are always bad. If romantic love really was so good,.....

  • @1993MovieMan (pt. 2)

............then why all the divorce, abuse, jealousy, & rage in the world.

This witch said they don’t do Love Potions b/c they don’t believe in them. Whatever. She asked, would I really appreciate having someone ONLY love me b/c of brainwashing or some potion? Of course! Hell yea!

The ONLY reason westerns (Americans) like thin blonds or exotic Asians is b.c it’s popular & the media says it’s sexy. ...................

  • @MovieMan (pt. 3)

...................Just like they like the strong, black, men or hunky white jock type. HOWEVER, they would have sex & fuck some geeky nerd guy or big, fat, woman in the dark 10x in a row. They just can’t be seen in public with them b.c they don’t want their ‘friends’ laughing at them. Fuck friends like that!

  • @MovieMan (last)

    ...........

And is that romance & love or is it brainwashed conditioning that our modern American society programmed into your head in the first place!

Arranged marriages were popular in most cultures in the past & are still popular in places today. & so is abuse!!

  • @Sogwa Sociopathy has nothing whatsoever to do with true love ! And , there is true love as well as lust ! It`s just hard to see the difference at times !

  • @1993MovieMan

But love for your grandma or cat is never considered sociopath like behavior. It’s just supposed romantic love one would have for a mate that dangerous addictive behavior surfaces.

  • @Sogwa Is it me or are we on two totally different wavelengths here ?

  • @1993MovieMan

Probably on 2 different waves – or even oceans ;D

You were speaking 4 the film AND for yourself right?

As for me, I was totally speaking 100% for myself. This is the my 1st x seeing the film & enjoyed it. I never the 80’s one nor read the novel. But I was commenting based on my personal feelings, beliefs, & observational knowledge of others/people in the world.

As for romantic love, if your lucky you’ll find it. If not, you can create it.

  • @Sogwa i agree with how relationships r treated in this brave new world, it would b wonderful if ppl understood romantic love is just an abstraction n jealousy n possessiveness in relationships is destructive behavior however for a human being's maximum development trial and error is needed so that we can learn taking a pill n living in a fantasy world to escape real problems is not the solution i dont like how there is a hierarchy many of them living in a slave like status n taught to conform

  • @DanteWhite

Sometimes a pill 2 a fantasy world is JUST WHAT is NEEDED & the Dr. ORDERED!! Such as Prozak, volume, & other opium based nerve deadning drugs 2 help people cope with the crap life throws at them all the time!!

  • @Sogwa would you shoot up heroin???

  • @DanteWhite

No b/c l detest needles but millions do as millions drink their problems away & others run to therapy for hopefully some halfway decent & successful help!!

  • @Sogwa to escape their misery the people has 3 paths two of them are fake and one of them is real. the first two are the church and the bar and the third one is social revolution!!! -mikhail bakunin

  • @DanteWhite

lsn't that what this movie is about to the extreme? Social rev. 2 end all pain & human caused suffering 2 the extreme?

So is this in fact a good thing or a bad thing?

  • @Sogwa no this is not social revolution, this is what will happen if we keep going on the same capitalist consumerist path we are now

  • @DanteWhite

Actually this film portrays a ''social (or socialist) revolution'' 2 the extreme! Yes they consume & buy stuff but they successfully detach love, lust, jealousy, mourning, & grief with an almost oblivious constantly happy & content state. Marriage & selfishly keeping someone 2 urself is bad. Since there r no parents, or marriages, it is easy to teach folks to NOT grieve & mourn over someone's illness & death. & many other very progressive concepts & ways 2 avoid pain & sorrow!

  • @Sogwa nothing socialist about this there are classes and hierarchies and mass consumerism it is highly capitalist

  • @DanteWhite

True it definitely has a major capitalistic economic system BUT sharing everything including ur man (or woman) NOT having families & parents. & the state govt. being ur parent so u won't grieve at the death of a loved one or become depressed at some divorce. That definatly sounds like communial living to me.

Like living on some hippie commune where everyone shares in the workload, sex, & the occult leader is everyone's father & husband.

  • @Sogwa sounds like a mix of capitalism with facism but communist in the personal/emotional aspect

  • but at the same time it seems incredibly individualistic. They constantly tell everyone how unique and special they are. Which is different from a hive society where it's all about the good of the state.

  • @MrRadaikon

True. It definitely had aspects of individualism, capitalism, & hard core socialism all rolled into 1.

  • no one truly understands Bakunin. He was a little bit addled in the head.

  • @MrRadaikon he can be a little hard to understand in that case i suggest you read kropotkin he is more coherent

  • @1993MovieMan - "there is true love as well as lust ! It`s just hard to see the difference at times" On the contrary, its not hard to see the difference at all.

  • @tjmac7

    l 100% agree with you!

  • @Sogwa Hah ! I`ll take real pain over false pleasure anyday ! Pain humbles us , teaches us appreciation for simple pleasures ( real pleasures ) ! Like love . This society rejects love because love requires commitment ! And , the " World State " considers commitment heretical . Why ? " Trivial man made crap " like what ? Love , commitment , family ? These things are flawed but that`s what makes them beautiful !

  • @1993MovieMan

    Pain NUMBS you!

Ask the victims in Sudan, Palestine, women who’ve been attacked & beaten in the Middle East, or even just the down troten homeless of the states!! Ask some homeless kid who’s never had a real family!

Do THEY appreciate pain or are they NUMB?!?!?

Only the privileged NAIVE who have NEVER EXPERIENCED real rejection, singleness, incel (involuntary celibacy), loneliness, rape, abuse,

abandonment, torture, & REAL pain say this crap!!

  • love the book, and the movie is good too. also on a separate note TheJamie43, how are you a pawn, and did YOU MAKE YOURSELF A PAWN? Also, in the big picture of humanity, people have always been used, so get used to it. Also, just because you make a list does your statement make it true? well im going to copy your idea " ...... pawns to be sacrificed in a new world order hitler, stalin, matsitung, TheJamie43." Just as effective as yours. Think deep Love hard. <3

  • Time to remake this on the big sceen in EPIC format-directed by JJ Abramas.Another great book that woujd do very well as a dark-metaphysical film would be Ursula K LeGuin's 'Lathe of Heaven',,A&E did a version yrs ago with James Caan but they left out a whole chunk of the book-the whole 'Aldebaranian aliens' who like Bob Orr can sorta see the CHANGES taking place in our space/tim reality..

  • i love the ending!!!!

  • Now how about Equilibrium? Has anyone seen that movie. It's another impressive movie.

Also, have you all seem "They Live" (with Roddy Piper)? That's on Google video

  • John Carpenter's "They Live" is a very good hint for a genius movie to see, one of my favorites. A very cheap production in terms of visual effects, what paradoxally makes the movie even better, in my opinion. Have you seen Terry Gillian's "Brazil the Movie"? I love it.

  • written in 1932? wonderful.i am buying anything he wrote.seems this book never hit my library at school!

  • political brainwashing is all around us today from advertisenents to subliminal music if you use your conscience and rely on your intuition and your gut feelings you can bypass all that. to be wise is not only having the knoledge , but to have the wisdom and compassion to use it . I for one think theres a storm coming. the clouds are gathering and the chess pieces are nearly all in place i am not going to be one of the pawnsto be sacrificed in a new world order hitler, stalin, matsitung, obama.

  • @TheJamie43 Wow, I like how you threw Obama in there. You're retarded.

  • @erkmedia Obama is as bad as Bush. If you don't think so then your not really paying attention,

  • @Dollphwong I never said he wasn't. If you actually READ what the guy I replied to put he ran down a list of historically evil leaders like Hitler and Stalin. The last person on his list was Obama as if Obama is anything even remotely like those leaders. That's what I was replying to. And if you think that Obama is like Hitler and Stalin then YOU are not really paying attention. Also, this is not a defense of Obama's politics it's a defense of him as a person.

  • @TheJamie43 but really.....try to look at the words you utter before posting them...and for what your words are worth...the weather is always unpredictable in the long run.....read the book again!!!!

  • @TheJamie43 now why would u put Obamas name in this.... Comparing him to Hitler! thats just cold......

U like this book or movie to much!

  • @TheJamie43 am i evil for prefering there world or am i just shallow

  • @TheJamie43

Wäwäwäwäwä... its the people like you who are the real morons. You get cought up in your pathetic little theories and do nothing but shouting them to everybody else. You're ridicolous. USA forever!

  • @LauryTyler if youre really that stupid then ignore this. its ok your parents didnt love you they were bad people but you dont have to be like them you can do better and be better you dont have to hurt or be alone lots of people can like and enjoy who you are. forget your useless up bringing your shitty family cant hurt you anymore

  • @LauryTyler that's funny your calling someone a moron and have spelling mistakes. The U.S has a lot of good people, like yourself, just like the majority of the world. Although, your leaders have really dug you guys a hole, with it's people and abroad, you guys need to overthrow your gov't while you all still have a chance. peace to the world.

  • @TheJamie43 political parties are also a subject of brainwashing and control.

taking sides between them arguing is playing into the hands of new world order to keep us blind from the truths.

  • @TheJamie43 What about George Bush?

  • @TheJamie43 Unfortunately, there are many too ignorant to even know that. It really is sad. What can we even hope to accomplish by pointing that out? Just seems so hopeless to even try.

  • Man... I've read the book. While the book takes you deeper into what Aldous Huxley had in mind for a New World Order, the movie does a pretty good job at not just giving a visual of what he hand in mind, but shows the similarities of today's culture. The drugs, the carefree slogans, the indoctrination, the false realities we choose to live with. Wow. While the book is ALWAYS better than the movie, I guess I just didn't realize how similar today is from what Aldous wrote about in 1932!

  • by design of course. this is why they have turned conspiracy into a negative buzzword stereotype, synonymous with being a loon. its predictive and controlled programming.

  • Well said sir, well said. I'd also like to mention the clever wordplay associated with conspiracy... 9 times out of 10 someone will say the word "conspiracy" and you right away think "theory". As if conspiracies are only theories and never 100% truthful. Such sheeple we've allowed ourselves to become!

  • heres something too. its been well known now for a bit, that Bush sr. was involved in the plot to kill kennedy. And after all those years, his son becomes president, and then 9/11 happens, and right after it happened, Bush jr said,"let us not believe in any conspiracy theories." (?WHAT?) So apparently, it bothers the Bush crime family that they have been considered, or suspected in these treasonous plots. If our Gov wasnt corrupt, we would have these men swinging on the end of ropes by now.

  • @PensivePoetry we'r all made into deltas

  • I find it rather interesting the roles that Leonard Nimoy chooses to play. Like now he is playing as WIlliam Bell on the television series Fringe. Very intreaging roles which to some might beg the question of exactly what his idea of the perfect society would be. There are those who have tried to say that Gene Roddenberry was a communist. This is wrong. Karl Marx wanted to completely erradicate family oriented society completely. This was not a part of Roddenberry's vision at all.

  • The reason I bring this up is because each episode of Star Trek was widely debated back in the late 60's because it was clear that Roddenberry was taking on issues of the day which through any other format may have not gotten through to the public. The idea of different races in harmony on a future planet Earth where its people had been able to top the petty bickering and if anything moved towards a resource based economy. And there was little if any mention of a class system being in place

  • Corrosion of Conformity. All of this talk of zombies... The masses are the Zombie. Movies like Shaun of the Dead mock this openly. Some would say oh sheesh glad we've not come to this. We have come to this. Just give it a generation, right now are kids are being indoctrined from the age of 3 on. Add in the drugs we've been injected with from birth who really knows how much genetic alteration has already happened. Some would laugh at that statement but could you say for sure?

  • There have been mass vaccinations for a verly long time. The small pox vaccine came to the world scene in the 1790's for goodness sakes.

The very fact that there are so many now who are supposedly born autistic. It doesn't happen that way. I have heard of so many cases and from one of my friends personally who's baby was fine until after recieving one set of her shots. Before that she was normal, after that almost lost in a shell. There accomplishing the Soma effects with vaccination.

  • I did not read the book (I intend to), but I think that 1980 version of the film, although quite funny in form (outfits, decorations like in old star trek), is much better. It is on google video.

  • You saw this movie!!! I thought I was the only one!!! you say you found it on the google video please say exactly where

  • I just watched this. Its interesting to contrast this against 1984. Same goal that of complete control, different approach. Both involved heavy indoctrination and mind control. In 1984 there was much talk of doublethink. Many are guilty of it today. Like those who will disregard as foolish anything that would break their paradigm. Theres an old saying - For those that understand no explanation is needed, for those that don't no explanation will ever do.

  • Wow, one of the greatest books of all time has been turned into the biggest piece of shit ever.

  • the people in that world are the walking dead, A.K.A. Zombies!

  • "the world consensus textbook"

    ahem.

    wikipedia?

  • @walter0bz

    brilliant!

  • O wonder, how many goodly comments are there here! How beauteous youtube is!

  • They totally butchered the book... The book is soooooooo much better i don't even wach 1 minute of this movie.

  • I envy you, I watched this whole damn thing and every great part about the book was modified to make it into some bad tv love drama.

  • thought it was good

  • i agree

  • @ragratt mmm.... slightly decent would be better, it's nowhere as deep as the book

  • More Techno Clubs in Montreal offer the Chip at a reduced cost. Have Fun, Be Happy... (This isn't a joke by the way, send some reporters, it would be a great little article.) The chip is used for easy access to the bar and club leaving the credit card numbers and all other pertinent information, Clubs in Calgary have them too, Don't Worry, Be Happy!!!

  • I always thought that Brave New World and Nineteen Eighty-Four were equally horrifying visions of a possible future.

  • at least in 1984 the lower class ppl the prowles or w.e

if they wanted to could try to rise up

    but in BNW,impossible to rebel

  • Agreed, Nineteen Eighty-Four was only horrifying from the prospective of a Party member, so long as the proles still enlisted in the armed forces or toiled away in factories producing rifles and tanks for the Party's pointless war they were basically free to do as they wished. Because the Party gives them everything they want they have no desire to overthrow the regime.

  • uh wow, horrible.

  • They would not use the word "greeks" "hero" "worship" all those words would be forbidden, this movie is hard core predictive programming, there is a brave new world movie that is almost exact to the book on google video free its from 1980 the only thing wrong with it, is that it is multicultural whereas the book totally was not with a few minor other changes and coverups -huxley didnt make any of brave new world up its plato's republic complete with the lack of free will

  • I like how the movie ends on a hopeful note unlike the book. Little Gabriel learned the first rule of rebellion, Your best weapon is your refusal...

  • We're all going on a soma holiday...

  • This movie is not based on the original story book at all...! I´m sorry, I´m a book lover reader...this film sucks!!!

  • Damn.

  • Mustafa as a woman, manipulating and toying with Bernard and Helmholtz would be interesting too.

  • I've read several comments criticizing this movie. I think they actually did a remarkably good job. Yes, there are many departures from the book, but the book is hardly filmic and very preachy. In addition, the suicide ending of the book says very little to me. A huge potnetial pitfall is that is is very easy to reduce to camp, which this adaptation never did.

This is a smart update, although I think it could have used stronger conflict/narrative thrust.

  • Half Life

  • pregnant?! and wtf happened to Bernard? wtf is this shit. ahhh... DX

  • WOW!

  • how the fuck could you feel good when your life lacks real purpose with out hardships. conflict causes purpose.

  • sandy cohen.

  • Benard Marx was also supposed to be short and a misfit. What happened to Helmholtz? Benard only became popular when he brought in the Savage.

  • I like the original version on youtube and besides. the lip sink has gone screwy on this film

  • Great ending, I've got to say.

The earplugs definitely added to the message of this movie; although I still greatly prefer the book.

  • the only thing is that it is damn not synchron! Why you uploaded it with such a bad quality? unwatchable!

  • lol that little kid at the end had the right idea hahaha

  • god damnit, it almost looks like a soap-opera; terrible acting.

  • @Ichirin145

I don't think that it is terrible acting. Have you ever recognized that people from other cultures act different? They are in the future(so a lot of thing have happened), they take soma and have an inhuman thinking and moving all day long.

To me it was great acting! ;)

  • @neWoutsider Thats exactly my point, they are in the future, they are supposed to be drugged, happy and CHILDISH, yet they act like normal people from today.

  • well, for the 90's and as a tv movie, this adaptation is acceptable. Especially reimagined for an audience who is in the process of becoming the residents of the brave new world.

  • haha . not a bad interpretation

  • lol the only thing that is missing is artificial birth

  • This version sucks. I would turn Patrick Bateman loose in this world and make it more interesting.

  • Like all movies that are based on books they are adapted, always missing a lot of context because of matter of time, budget, etc... I think that the new ending of the film was even better than in the book and the film inspired me more to learn Shakespeare than the book had. Im saying that from what I remember from the book since it has been a long time that I had readied him.

  • QUE PUTA LIXO!

com o perdão da palavra, esse é o pior filme baseado em um livro quer eu já vi....não faz sentido, não tem nexo.

  • totally moved away from the book. NO mention of Ford, i feel that the portrayal of the characters is inaccurate. John's traditional Indian roots hardly mentioned at all. Bad movie in terms of holding true to the book.

  • Thanx for the info. I was about to check Netflix for it.

  • but john's not actually indian in the book, his dads an alpha n his mums a beta

  • hes white but his peer at the reservation was indian and did the self inflicting pain thing

  • he lived on an native american reservation and they lived in a hut
