  • dry firing is not very smart

  • @TraRod95 ??

  • @Rusty4ND dont dry fire your gun unless you want to ruin it

  • @TraRod95 today's guns don't really have any problem with that expect for maybe some 22lr's, at least that's what I've been told

  • never seen a 30 06 sniper rifle before.

  • How much

  • haha unlucky on the dry fire. nice gun, can see you werent expecting that shot when it did fire.

  • dont buy this , 3 major problems, bolt , scope , mag. ,

  • @dsaikaley what the hell are you talking about its one of the best 500 dollar guns that you can get if had those kind of probs then you probaly dont take care of you gun

  • @dsaikaley I have no problem with mine...I was shooting 1.5 inch groups at 110 yards today

  • geting one soon are they worth the abuse of the kick

  • @buckhunter3083 Yes unless your a little girl

  • nothing like a good flinch check

  • all the intensity, and waiting for a big boom.. then ...... -click-. oh..

  • Keep your finger out of the trigger area till ready to fire. Nice gun and have fun with it.

  • fail i hate when that happens to me

  • a rifle is useless with out a rnd....less you use it as a baseball bat. i prefer bullets though personally...lol i have this same rifle ....very powerfull. CHECK OUT MY HOME DEFENSE SETUP

  • bought this rifle in 308 have to wait 10 days, hopefully its a decent rifle.

  • My second 30-06 = M1 Garand

  • I want one soooo bad I'm just 17. Oh....wait soon I'll own one ^.^

    30.06 all the way!

  • i just won a savage axis 30-06 and it is epic

  • @unixguy5 what brand of scope comes with this package? im looking into buying this package deal but no one can seem to tell me what brand of scope comes on it.

  • @Nbilsky a bushnell

  • @Nbilsky just look it up on google/savage website lazy ass!

  • @g3seifert you google it for me :P

  • @bjjmonkey Simmons scope. i think they are crap. they go for like 50 dollars i think online. only thing id use it on would be a bb gun prob haha.

  • @g3seifert theyre worth $50 I almost hit bullseye yesterday at 250yards, I missed it by 1/4 inch, low... but had about a 3inch 3 shot group which aint bad....I was using cheap fedaral ammo..and I just got the 30-06

  • @Nbilsky simmons scope!

  • Huge Flinch..Buy your self a .22 and practice practice practice get rid of that flinch.

  • Lol, fail

  • What would you say is the better gun?

    Savage AXIS XP 3006 W/SCP:

    or

Marlin 30-06 Bolt Action/22" Blue Barrel/Black Synthetic Sto

    Thanks for any help.

  • @AlanRogerBarrett For the money Get the savage They Are The best Value for money around. Even here in Australia They are better Value than the marlin..

  • you have no business handling any firearm

  • i have that same set up on my 111.

  • yea you actually have to put a bullet in the chamber dumbass

  • That is a bad mother.

  • looks just like my mossberg

  • Nice flinch hot shot, next time chamber the round first.

  • @DaintyDesigns he didnt flinch:p

  • *click*

    looks around

    OH!

    *puts bullet in chamber*

  • i have this same gun and actually put an 8 point buck down with it a few weeks ago he only went 16 yards, 69 yard shot. you just cant beat the good old 30-06 :)

  • im not going to copy someones comment so ill just give whitehunter123 a thumbs up

  • правильное удержание решает много.

    +1

  • learn how to operate your gun. then learn the proper way to pull the trigger. i bet your patterns are spread the hell out

  • @TheJafowler shut up stupid, guy is just having some fun why u gotta be a smart ass???

  • I was totally expecting that thing to shoot back and hit you, and then...

    Misfire.

  • @ZomBLord haha i gotta agree i was expecting him to get scoped haha

  • check out our video on converting your rifle to a sniper weapon system

  • irritating camera work

  • why do people allways forget to chamber a round in their bolt action rifles?

  • HAHA this is a fucking .22mag you can tell by the sound and the kick

  • @kalzx Is this all you do? I think you have some kinda 22 mag fetish.

  • @RedneckResponder I like 30-06 and 30-30 i think you are the one with the 22 mag fetish after all you are the one that posted a video of you shooting a 22 mag but said it was a 30-06!! Why don't you just go buy a 30-06 they are not that much money then you can post a video of you shooting one instead of buying 30-06 ammo showing it and then shooting a 22 mag saying it is a 30-06? just a idea

  • Do your self a favor and replace the glass it came with. Those scopes in the package deals are junk. And for a 120$ online you can pick up a decent Nikon prostaff.

  • check out my video....i shoot a moose with that exact gun. very durable and light.

  • have this exact rifle but in 7mm. my little brothewr has the 30-06

  • will this rifle work as a bear stopper?

  • @enchilada01 it's not so much the rifle, unless your talking about going up and smacking the bear with it, its the ammo and calibre, if you go on Winchesters website you can plug in what kind of gun and game you want and what calibre you want and it tells you bullets you can use, check it out

  • @Mo7Vsta Thanx, I will

  • @enchilada01 It will kill anything on the American continent.

  • @barccy It will kill any living thing on earth.

  • i have the same exact rifle scope and all and i LOVE it

  • I've got a mosin 91/30 and my savage 30-06. Both very reliable, accurate, and can't beat the price.

  • Great deer gun

  • @IronicallyVague

Now if the deer will stop running away :-P

  • What's are savage rifles like? Good? Bad? awesome? crap? 'cause ive heard a lot about them. Just wana know what a person who has actually fired one thinks. BTW love the sound of that shot!

  • @stuffman94 My Savage 110 is awesome. Bought it at a gun show for 350 and is very accurate and doesn't kick too bad. =)

  • i like it when you stick it in a girls but and you pull out and out comes a pink sock

  • i shot a semi auto 30 ot 06 today and considering it was my first gun it was fun and i went threw 2 boxes of 180.gram remingtons it was really fun till i was out of ammunition :(

  • 7mm mag ownes the 30-06 and 270 and u can hunt almost anything with it.

  • @1fast10r doesnt really own it...and if you measure the rounds the.308 diameter bullet of the 30-06 is the bigger than the .280 of the 7mm...the 30-06 is a far better round for all round hunting....7mm is ok until you get near a fuckin branch than its all over. Thats why i only hunted with mine for a 1 season and switch to a 300 win.

  • i have this exact gun and i love it

  • Rifle clinics help alot. It just saddens me when I see someone with a rifle and they have not a clue what they're doing. I love to teach people what I know about firearms, and I'd love to teach this person something.

  • My mom always said "JONATHAN WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOUR ALONE?" I respond back " PLAYING WITH MY TOY"

  • The loudest sound heard in a gun fight is " CLICK ! " Don't worry mate, we've all done it LOL.

  • Well, I dont know about official numbers, but I can group out to 1000 yards with a 30-06 without wind and a stock scope.

    Practice-Practice-Practice.

  • Ok , i dont mean to nit pick but when people say north america I think they forget about Canada and our costal bears, 1200 pound grizzlies and 1500 pound brown bears, you dont want to be hunting these with a .270. .303 is probable the same as it is down there, a piece of junk lol, up here most popular guns i would say are the .270, 30-06 and the 300mag although i dont own any of these and it is just to be different and have something that other people dont have.

  • I live in Canada, look up the foot pounds required for hunting buffalo and you will find the .270 does not reach the mark. I am not saying that you need a magnum to hunt them because you dont. I am saying the 30-06 is much better suited for them and the large bears.

  • @bgabr i dont think you right about this, it was a long time ago but remember in my Hunting C.O.R.E book i specifically saw a chart saying which calibers were appropriate for what game and i swear 7mm rem mag was the minimum cartridge apropriate for hunting buffalo in canada

  • @lliamcoombs It says right in the regulations the foot pounds required and the 30-06 is the smallest caliber to hit the mark.

  • @bgabr oh ok i believe u probably with the heaviest bullets like 220 grain

  • @lliamcoombs you cant shot a 220 in a 30-06 And you can shoot buff with a 270 belave it or not

  • @jamesrobertmey The .270 will not take everything in north america, It is not leagel for buffalo and will not take down the large bears safely.

  • What's wrong with u ppl... 7mm remington magnum all the way... But I have a 30-06 too great rifle :p

  • yeah a bullet in the chamber helps lol good shootin i got my big three point with my wifes savage .243 its light and very accurate go with that for deer

  • u u dumbass i'm sure glad that round didn't go off when u opened the chamber

  • what are you supposed to do when the round doesn't go off? i'm not trying to be a smart ass, i really don't know

  • well... the first time there wasnt a round in the chamber. military snipers do the same thing. kinda a practice shot of sorts (but since this guy doesnt look military he prolly just forgot haha) and if the round doesnt go off then you have to remove it... and theres only one way of doing that

  • @jakePVids You are suposed to wait for a min because the round could still go off so if you open the bolt and it goes off there is a good chance of killing your self when the bolt tears through you.

  • @11tlang - That wasn't a misfire. He didn't have a cartridge chambered.

  • @11tlang why would it go off?..he didnt even HAVE it in the chamber which was the reason he worked the action

  • yea i accidentally put the butt of my dad's remmington 7400 30-06 right on the edge of my shoulder bone..... it hurt...

  • @Lucero0709 lol that sucks

  • i got a savage 111 in .270. ive gotten dozens of deer with it. it is accurate easy to shoot, afordable and overall a good big game rifle.

  • no flinch.....good job

  • hey, if u wanna shoot it, it helps if u load it first.

  • semi-auto models have em

  • OH SHIT EPIC FAIL..... it happens to the best of us

  • 0:18, FAIL lol, happened to me before but it wasnt at the range.

  • it helps to put a bullet in. lol

  • @MrEvilgenious acourse i can i have a semi automatic with a flip mount scope

  • yeah my savage 111 .270 can nail pop cans out @ 150 yards free hand. good gun good brand.

  • i think im going to get the .270 111 pretty soon here. its a debate between that and the 30-06. any suggestions?

  • 30-06 all the way

  • take the 30-06 i got em both an i like 30-06 alot better wayyy better gun

  • I have 4 savage bolt rifles. All sub MOA tack drivers with the best standard trigger available.

  • i have the same gun its grat but heavy i am 13 and gowing hunting this weekend in idaho wery big deer ther and elk

  • I don't like my savage very much but that might just be because i got it when i was younger and it was abit too powerful for me at the time (300 WSM when i was 16). One thing i've noticed on the savage is the bolt is smooth till you reach a point near the end of the pull then you need to pull a bit extra in order to get the bolt far enough back to catch the next round. Just a little annoyance when shooting in quick succession. Also it is the 116, not the 111

  • The bolt part I agree with.

Though this is 111, not 116.

  • yeah i know i meant my savage is the 116

  • @unixguy5 i got 111 looking to fix it up i found where to get a cheap scope just looking for a place to get mags for it cheap if you happen to know

  • @harpy2010 you can try Gander Mountain.

  • @unixguy5 Is that rifle accurate?

  • @Humberto4790 it depends on the scope and how u line it up and u have to use the same bullets u line the scope up with but yes savage rifles and stevens rifles are very accurate

  • @quentin6493 there was no bullets fucking dumb asses

  • @walkerryan2 I dont understand what you are getting at handitard

  • i dont like savage i prefer my browning ;)

  • nice vid! im 12 and i clean my 30-06 but after i shoot a round the bolt wants to stick and it is hard o rise it to eject the bullet wht sahould i do?

  • I herd they are great for Wild Hog Hunting.

Some gun dealer recommened a Savage to me when I was pricing rifles.

  • SHOUL I GET A SAVAGE OR SAVANA RIFLE

  • savage

  • Savage Makes The Best Rifles. I Have a .22 I Bought Back In 78, and I'm Still Using It Today!

  • Close enough target for ya? lol And then the unchambered cartridge? Really?

    Cool rifle, nonetheless.

  • i've never shot a savage but i heard they are not as good for hunting has anyone ever used one in the field?

  • it does help when u have a shell chambered lol

  • yeah I have one as well, and my locale gunsmith said that savage went with accuracy instead of looks, with the free floating barrel, accu - trigger and scope, and for the price a very good gun.

  • You need to back that target up another 200 yards !

  • what is the difference between Savage model 111 and the 116 model?

  • ermm... the name (only kidding LOL!)

  • the model 111 is hunter series, the model 16 is weather warrior series(stainless).

  • this is the new savage 30.06 with

    the synthetic scope.

i love the accutrigger and the stock.

    its very light.

handsdown , best out-of-the-box hunting rifle you can buy.

    forget the model 700

    save youreself 300$

  • its pretty important to know iff youre round is chambered or not!

    safety depends on it.

    dont let it happen again!

  • I have this rifle with the accu trigger.

I think its better than a model 700 anyday!

  • Sweet Rifle! I want one too!!!!!

  • He didnt even know if there was a round in the chamber. I carry a gun for a living. This is a very powerful gun. Not a toy. Just be careful.

  • I agree, not very safe operation. He should've checked the bore prior to loading what could've been another round.

  • nice gun i have the same one

  • nice gun, but do u really want ur thumb there?

  • whatever you do dont pull the trigger when the guns pointed at one of your family.

  • nice nice gun i got 1 for sell for 3oo dollars

  • You forgot to pull the bolt back!

  • i got the same one beautiful rifle

  • Noob

  • That's got some kick! I want one.
