I used Adobe After Effects plus several plugins for the video editing. Google for the plugins, ProDAD and Digital Juice.

Hi there

I used Digital Juice and ProDAD Vitascene (Google it to find out more about it) with the Adobe After Effect video editing program. ProDAD is expensive but well worth it and Digital Juice has a lot of different types of effects and plugins for your video editing program and can be expensive depending on what you buy.

You'd think there wouldn't be so many "edits" if that were the case--it's not one solid scene--the angle shifts, and not just for the close ups, either . The guy dancing is live and one take, I'm not convinced that Beyonce did that in one take at all, though. Sorry.  If she did, more power, it just does not look that way to me. The hair looks like it was fixed a few times throughout.
