I became Arch Mage in about 4 hours.... did I miss something is that glitch? It happened so fast...was like wow...thats all it took to become arch mage. It just wasn't epic ....I hope it was just a glitch. I think I killed Ancano by zapping the eye with the staff and that drained his health. It happened sooo fast..

I have a serious problem with this quest [xbox] and i keep reloading save after save to attempt at fixing it, what happens is i help break the containment thing with savos. As we go in, the big blur happens from him interfering. When i wake up the quest doesnt finish nor does 'containment' begin yet savos is still dead outside, please help i really want to get this done

Also for anyone who is having the disappearing face problem when wearing the robes and Morokei, it only happens if you die while wearing both. Just drop the robes and put em back on and it'll be fixed till you die, hope it helps. PS You only get the robes, the hood is part of the robes, not a separate item.

@RicoWorried1 Yeah same with me I'm not sure if it's a bug or what but it's pretty damn annoying. I don't think it's weapons because it doesn't matter if the weapons are enchanted or not any time I'm in combat it regenerates slower...

My game glitches after he says enough. The old dude falls over from a green looking speel and then Archano becomes invincible. I'm going to scrap the whole game until this is fixed. Waste of money.

my game is glitched and is the cat J'zargo ment to kill the arch-mage after i talk to him? because after i tell the arch-mage i have to get the staff j'zargo comes in and keeps casting spells at a wall. Any ideas to fix it?

I became arch Mage and got the robes and mask but sometimes when I play my magika doesn't regenerate as fast as it should. This usually happens when I'm fighting. I don't know if that happens when someone hits u with a weapons.

guys 100 sneak and the shadow warrior perk (last sneak perk) is the best thing, i cleared out the entire dungeon only losing about 20 health and killed everything and the boss in 1 or 2 hits with the 30x sneak damage

Would Bethesda consider patching the screen tearing on the xbox ? The ps3 does not have it but the framrate drops , but they are fixing that with patch 1.4 , so if the ps3 does not need screen tearing to have an smooth 30fps , i assume they will do the same for xbox but the other way around ?!

@QsGREG open your journal, if your on xbox its the start button. There you can toggle which quest gets its symbol on your map and compass

my quest got bugged and i cant finish eye of magnus. though im still about to be an expert rank mage level 30 if i can find the spells. my advice to you guys is do everything you can to reduce the cost of destruction spells. your power increases exponentially, making mage the most powerful class by far. the only thing that holds you back is your mana reserve. if you get it right you can do your spells for free =)

Bug !! At the part where you defeat Archano Tolfdir appears as says "You did it". Yea not for me. when i defeated Archano no one appeared not even those transparent hooded figures. To my surprise i find the old fuck ( Tolfdir ) on the other side of skyrim walking around and the game won't let me talk to him. WTF !!

@whatevercountss There are a few things you should check: 1: did you talk to Mirrabel after the explotion? She will ask you are you ok? And tells you to go and find the Arc-Mage. 2: go to the court-yard and talk to Tolfdir, he will ask what happend. You awnser him. The he tells you to protect Winterhold. Its attacked by weird flying snow bals. After you killed 10 go back to Mirrabel. And talk to her she will give you the quest. Did you do these 2 steps?

@SantaClaus532 - The Arch-Mage Robes are all inclusive; the hood is part of the robes which is why you get the +50 Magicka. There is a variant without the hood though should you wish to wear your own.

@darrenrulez1 I know why the eye won't open up for you, this is because you have to wait until the NPC conversation between ancano and tolfdir is over, then tolfdir will say "use the staff on the eye!". Only then can you attack it.

@NorthernApparition Yes. Race doesn't matter so much in this game, because the stats have been streamlined. I have two mage characters: a Nord and a Redguard. They are fine, even if their starting skills were lower than a Breton's would be.

@Moremooremore but same races are better then other.. i perfer High elfs for their 50+ magicka.. at the start.. and Orcs for melee class becuase they got +10 to Heavy and +5 to 1hand and 2hand.. and they always for special ability... all races are good for any thing your doing.. there just some that will boost it a little more

@iPooPooStainz Mate everyboss on this mission is so easy firstly the dragon, just walk half way in and let the skeletons come out then back behind the gate before it shut then just kill it from behind the gate plain and simple, also Morokiel is so easy to kill just keep shotting him and then hide he then gets stuck on either the staircase or behind the metal grate. Then just fireball him or use the bow and arrow. PS his mask is 100 percent regeneration as well as the atch mage robes

@iPooPooStainz hes not really that hard. if you use a sword rather than magic, as once you get close to him he can't use magic and has no other means of attacking
