oh hey i forgot to ask you what kind of frame is that and what kind of tank did you use ??? how did you mount the fuel pump and the ecm its very cool but i noticed i didnt see alot of things that are essential to making it run
@byker4lyfe1 The frame is a custom one off frame by Bobby Lewis Fabricating in <Mineral Wells Texas and the tank is a regular fat bob tank I picked up. All of the electronics (fuse box, regulator, ignition, etc.,) are mounted in an electrical box i got from an electrical supply company and then modified. The fuel pump is hidden behind the battery box below the seat and behind the wiring harness.
@byker4lyfe1 Just take it a little at a time. The beauty of owning it and riding it is that there is no rush right? I worked on this in my spare time for 3 years. That's a long time to go without riding.
very good job! i have a '97 VS1400 (S83 in north america) and i love it! your job is very good and i like the headlight very much. the handlebar and the fuel tank are great too. good job again!
Hey Nice bike! I had a 91' 750 and loved it. Ran clean, never gave me a hint of a problem. The only thing I found slightly annoying is I felt it was a bit small as I am 6'2". But most bikes out of japan at that time were smaller. I dressed it with some highway pegs and ape hangers that made it feel bigger..lol. At any rate, I think Suzuki could take a few notes from you and put out something like your bike and they would see sells sky rocket! Awesome job.
Hey thanks for the nice words! We've worked very hard on this bike and it's really gonna pay off with the final product. We just got it to the bodywork phase and are busy smoothing out the frame and tins for the paint job. i will be posting results soon.
The driveshaft is stock. We manufactured the frame to fit the driveshaft length and made allowance for the length of the teeth on the shaft and in the u-joint. Suzuki had made the shaft with enough teeth to allow for the up and down movement of the driveshaft without falling out of the u-joint while still being able to have a softail suspension. Since this is a hardtail we left enough room for any movement forward or backward and left it at that.
Sure is a sexy bike! Love that headlight! I'm diggin the whole thing - those handgrips are sharp man - I got a scar on my chest to prove it from my bike! Rock on and greetings from Waco!
Just tore it down Wednesday evening to finish weld it and start smoothing out the frame and tins for the paint. Keep watching and I'll post new video and pix of the progress.
i took the neck covers/front air cleaner out and added a oil tank under the seat, its pretty much done now, i want to video it while riding it. i am going to be at daytona on 03-05, let me know if you are.
wow man, beautiful bike!!!!

very cool bike, you have some people asking about you on intruderalert(.)com 1400 section, you should check it out.

your headlight rattled out.

This was mock up only. The headlight has never been in yet. The bike is still under construction.

nice idle note but anything more sounds like a sewing machine...

Very bad video from a camera. The actual sound of the bike is very nice. I will have a better video with sound of it when it goes back together.

did you fabricate the driveshaft? or were you able to buy a longer one?
