@MiloXC3HD 300ft shots are not as hard as everyone makes them out to be. Just get a tanaka,convert to hpa. Upgrade, tune, test. You essentially have a gun that performs like a rhf, without the wtfpricebbq.

I was hitting 300ft with my polarstar fusion m4, at only 450fps. Lack of quality heavyweights really stung me though.

@btrules PolarStar sniper rifle? I have to look in to these. But the point I'm saying is that 300ft isn't really too far with the effort, time and money you put in to building a well spec'ed rifle. Airsofting needs a new system/platform that can reach further or have more consistent shots.

@MiloXC3HD Indeed, but those systems are already out there. HPA rigs for maximum consistency. For DMRs and SASRs thats where the polarstar fusion engine comes in. For bolt actions, a tanaka converted to hpa will do nicely.

The systems are already available for 300+ further shots. In terms of durability, consistency and versatility.

However, thanks to new hopup innovations(the flat and r hop) we are running up against the one thing that is holding us back. Lack of high quality super heavy bbs.

precision-grade, premium airsoft sniper rifle made here in the usa. That sums it up, if you want china crap for 200$, it's availiable. BAR 10 is a good rifle, but it's still china and cheaply made and not made with attention to detail with caring hands. Like a ferrari, of course you can buy a cheaper car and make it a hell of alot faster, but... it's not a ferrari... this is a ferrari of airsoft... it's to turn heads and performs very well to match it's looks.

@tollreaper5 That really depends where you play and how you play. If it's something like Lion Claws than maybe they won't, don't know. But at a local place where you and a bunch of airsofters go play, again it really depends on the atmosphere of your location; you can use this gun honestly or at a certain pre set distance of engagement per fps usage. Some players are truely mature and wont go shoot someone from 5ft at 700fps and are allowed per other players. Or just for fun and collection.

But we're trying to push for higher FPS allowance for AEG's and engagment distance. at around 10 feet your supposed to take dummy shots but most dont. I accidently shot my friend at two feet with my sniper rifle. But he was dumb enough to jump at me.

@mastertoastmaker you can dial in the fps on the hpa-tank to meet the local fieldregulations. Max output is 750fps but you can change it to 400 fps

@l0lrightnow .22 cal rifles shoot anywhere between 1200fps and 1800fps. This one shoots around 400fps - 600fps depending on the psi you use. also a .22 cal round weights between 1.9g and 2.1g. this gun fires a plastic bb that weighs around .25g to .43g. So the amount of energy (joules) is drastic between this gun and an actual .22 cal rifle.

I guess not. Using Green Gas in one of these beauties is like putting a wooden wheel on a Formula1-car. Green gas (and Yellow/Summer/Red gas) are much to inconsistent. You'd be better off buying a stock gas sniper if you'd like to use gas instead of HPA.

You can get your HPA-tanks filled at your local Scuba-shop or paintballshop/field. You can also buy a special fill valve that you can put on a scuba-tank onto which you connect the hose of your HPA-tank.

Sounds like you only want to make headshots?! These rifles aren't made to hurt people I guess, cause that is what you will do when you use .43's. Since almost al fields use kinetic energy as a measure as to how hard you can shoot, you'll have to shoot at less FPS then with a lighter BB. But they won't be affected by wind as much as lighter BB's.

The FPS can be dialed in to comply with field regulations. Max FPS is 750fps with .20bb's. I thought Mike chronoed his mantis in this vid with .20's @ 550fps but is shooting with .29 Maruzen SGM's

im really interested in the assassin. i like how its a compact gun. im used to carrying around a 4 foot well peice of crap and that would be a huge step up. we play in a crazy bush area with no trees and dense bushes. but not the kind that offer good concealment, the kind that grow stait up about 3 feet then spread out so movement with a long barrel is hell. what im trying to say is how much would the assassin be?

this shooting test is done while the dbc barrels were still being used in the rhf, so accuracy will probably be even better now w/ the edgi barrels.

thats an AEG though, the RS guns look nice, but they don't accept aftermarket parts as easily. THIS gun, the mantis, or one of the other guns they make, have to be the best stock sniper rifles. The are already HPA rigged, and they are like, 100% customizable to the users specifications.
