I'm fresh-off having my 3rd session of laser only 20 minutes ago and now I know what it feels like to be a piece of pork cackling deep frying in hot oil and then a cat comes along and scratches the living piss out of you and continues to scratch on top of the scratching!
I just had laser treatment done 20 minutes ago to remove some unwanted ink and my forearm is numb as all hell now. It felt like a mine-field of cherry bombs going off all at once in under 20 seconds! Every now and then the zaps continue to hit my arm still and it hurts. I guess it hurs more getting the tat done than laser. P.S. I didn't get the pre-shot to deaden it either. We did it cold turket str8-up - she did put ice on it though and it burnt too. 2 more sessions of this shit! Ouch!
Is there an official list where I can see who are good laser doctors and who aren't. And what about laser for eye surgery - that is risky right? I mean even if only 1% goes wrong it's still 1 in a 100 people that looses their sight or experience other irreversible damage.
@lipstickonthemirror I would recommend finding a doctor who is a member of The American Society of Dermatological Surgery. Regarding laser eye surgery, since I have no expertise in the field, I suggest you speak to a laser eye surgeon. You can find one via The American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
I heard that laser treatments usually take a lot of time, meaning thy require a lot of sessions to go to with no 100% assurance that whatever is being removed really will never come back, does that really apply? I mean, I am sure the treatments are quite pricey, so for which things that lasers can do have a real guanantee of not coming back?
@lipstickonthemirror: Cosmetic lasers are completely safe if used by trained professionals. If you're interested in laser treatments, please make sure to only consult with a trained laser specialist.

Or better yet, I have a question! Are diode lasers safe for your skin, if your skintone is a pale tan?
