@abolishtheirs We lost over $220,000 but it was not Franklin Squires. Rick Koerber's companies refused our entreaties to join. We lost because we joined those that claimed they were followers. However, when you analyze what Koerber was teaching with what supposed followers were doing IT WAS NOT THE SAME THING. The Division of Securities and the Dept of Real Estate in the State of Utah is as corrupt as one can get.
What does being a disgruntled Mormon have to do with losing money?
@CasamsMgmtGrp I wish I had a tenth of the integrity of Rick Koerber and Dr. Glenn Kimber. I have went into bankruptcy so I didn't have to pay massive debts that were created.
These men have been diligently working to pay their debtors. They never hid their history. They hold no man accountable for their actions. They have been robbed, lied about and yet they never retaliate.
I am NOT that magnanimous or gracious to my fellow man. I find living up to Christian values difficult.
Everything comes back to self-interest, sure. But paradoxically enough serving others is often in our interests as it makes appeals to strong instincts of empathy to which we nearly all possess. --perhaps that wasn't what he was getting at? i'm not entirely sure.-- I do understand what argument he's making overall though and it's as basic as the idea that 'progress sometimes requires personal sacrifice." hardly a revelation indeed.
Jesus said the money lenders (bankers )would never enter the kingdom of heaven . He quit his job and traveled around helping the poor and sick and never was given anything but food for his trouble . Hmmmm does that sound like capitalism ? Pure capitalism is absolutely Darwinist . The big corporations eat the small ones until only one remains , the same would apply to countries , people etc . Soon the result is 1% rich 99 % slaves , and we are getting closer to this each day !!
Jam 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
Jam 5:4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
All captitalis (rich in worldly things) christians try all the way to justify their greed for money and blame the poor for the poverity. But thus saith the Bible:
Jam 5:1 Go to now, [ye] rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon [you].
Jam 5:2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
jingvt - I think you're overlooking the fact that very few Christians in America have actually read the bible, and even fewer would literally interpret it. I think it's unfortunate that we still commonly view politics as being bipolar rather than seeing conflict as multi-dimensional. and what i mean by that is that many will identify themselves as republican and just cling to those ideals blindly and it just so happens that those are the people said to, you know, 'love the church' and whatnot.
Thanks for info. I am quite dumb about politics. To me, many Christians in the west love captitalism and I call them captitalist Christians, who are not what Jesus wants.
I was raised up as an atheist in China, and learned the term god from the teaching that there was no gods at all.
When I got old enough, I had good wishes. I wish there were gods...at least I tended not to deny the existence of anything when I could not prove nonexistence of it.
One day, something touched my heart that turned me from an atheist to a believer of God in the Holy Bible.
Then, I found that belief and unbelief are just two status of a switch, which is held in the Hand of God.
Jam 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
Jam 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be [ye] warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what [doth it] profit?
The argument in the Vid is misleading. Giving to the poor is to show love and for the sake of the poor because the poor needs. Selling out and giving all is to get the Eternal life. No capitalism in the Kingdom of God. One cannot love the money and God at the same time. God is a jealous God.
All communism is not about economics, but no capitalists and capitalism lovers can enter the Kingdom of God. The nature of communism is to love your neighbor as yourself but the nature of capitalism is greed.
Warning against of the capitalism (self seeking):
Luk 12:15 Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
(continued) although success is not always guaranteed... if you are not willing to give up what you have to get what you want then you will always fail because it means that you are not willing to give it your best shot...you will become like you said in previous vid a "looking-glass living"... hmm...anyways please correct me if i'm in anywhere wrong...
i think i just came up with an concept or idea while thinking about this... that in order to increase the chance of achieving what you want in life.. whether it is love, money, respect etc...you must always give up something ie. time, effort, etc... (continued)
sorry for being slow... you'll probably think these are stupid questions... 1. so did this person achieve what he wants ie. eternal life? or is this not important...??
2. what happens if you give up what you have to get what you want and yet you still fail? do we leave it as just "tough luck" or do we try and find which principle went wrong? which way of thinking better for the mind??

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a arich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

The "Love" of Money is the route of all Evil.
This is why Jesus Christ asks the young man to give it all up, to route out the evil with in the young man, which we find was his "love" for money.
