I was listening to an author talk of how women should raise their Christian sons, and the main thing the guy said was to teach them the value of perseverance. I kind of realized this was the biggest stumbling block I've had in a lot of ways--and I've been a Christian 36 years. It's like discouraging things would happen, and I'd give up...especially when people would not change. I'd let my feelings discourage me.
