  • This is the only version I know, the 1st,and the best

  • Great video mate, well done, was a bit worried at the start when i heard nothing but it soon made up for it, cheers :-)

  • It's good but not as good as The Well I'm Sure I Left It There Yesterday Band otherwise known as Twisility B

  • sadly this music will never come around again our kids have lost out on so much...

  • @lukeydoeslikey DUDE YOU'RE SO RIGHT...SAD ALL THEY HAVE NOW IS A BUNCH OF SPOILED BRATS WITH BEARDS. ISN'T THAT WHAT PUNK TRIED TO DESTROY?

  • still good.

  • @johnjturner1 Is she the one with the ruffly blouse and black vest? :)

  • Ant Music for Ant People!! I love the way the disco people are aghast at this new development. So cool!! I've never seen this version. What a find! Thanks to YouTube's cartroubleDOTnl for the great post!

  • Still love it!

  • Style And Class , nothing has ever matched the Ants EVER !

  • The ants reignited a pop scene that had got very boring since the glam rock days of the early 70s, long live Adam and the Ants!

  • Yeah, he was the sexiest person on all his videos.Better looking than ALL his girlfriends. How do you be so gorgeous????? I don't get it. Does he even know how gorgeous he was???? I don't know how this is possible. I am proud that people have told me thru the years that I am attractive. But Adam Ant,impossibly gorgeous!!!

  • I love finding stuff like this! THANK YOU!!

  • I guess he has to live with the fact that he is the sexiest person on each video-mail or female.Gorgeous!

  • Adam is so hot in this video. :p

  • I love this video! This has got to be their best!

  • PURE CLASS!!!

  • GREAT!!!

    POWERFULL!!!

  • You're both wrong. The first punk band in the world were The Saints in 1973 from Australia. The Ramones copied them, The Sex Pistols copied them and the rest is history.

  • That's Amanda Donohoe at 2:39. She later became a regular on the American TV series, "L A Law".

  • a long time on/off girlfriend of Adam at the time

  • i have the LP with this version on it :D

to the extent i didnt realise this was a diff version than everyone was used to lol

  • A fascinating version. Won why it wasn't released as-is as an alternative. Plenty of bands do that when releasing vinyl on CD to add value. Low-grade releases always make me think the label is under pressure to release something but fears releasing something good.

  • My GOD I'd forgotten just how 'pretty' Adam was back then...(this was from my so called 'salad years')...I saw him in concert...what a FUN concert...the whole audience was up on their feet, dancing the whole time. ANT MUSIC still ROCKS!

  • Yeah,he was prettier than his pretty girlfriends.Wish I was one of them.

  • Cool song back then still is cool..

  • FN Hell!!! thx sooo much for posting this. Insect nation still the the only place i feel any sense of Nationalistic Pride.

  • Sorry Not to pick but the new wave/new romantic scene followed punk and started in the UK. Adam and the Ants in the 70's were a punk group and punk came out of London

  • punk didnt come out of london, infact the first band to be called punk were the ramones. or more so the first time punk was use was to define the ramones. and that was 74-75 in america in a little club called CBGB's. in the united states, not london

  • he is so pretty!!!!!!

  • The guy at 1:37 looks a bit like Andy Kaufman!

  • I don't know about the people in the audience looking new wavish, There was a solid new wave scene in the states, then again every scene we started went across the pond , and the brits did there best to make our scene their own. face it we create the music, and the brits give it a look then package it into a nice product.

  • Who really cares who started what?

Just shush and enjoy the music and vid.

  • The music also sounds a bit different. Was this an entirely different mix? Aside from the vocals, which are obviously different, the guitars sound a bit twangier. Perhaps it's just that I'm used to the mono version...

  • I've seen a number of alternate cuts of this video, but I've never heard this mix before, which features a difference vocal on the "Don't treat on an ant" spoken bit in the break. Very interesting! And that is Amanda Donahoe by the way--she and Adam dated for a couple of years and she is also in the "Stand and Deliver" video

  • It's "Don't tread on an Ant" not treat.

  • typo

  • I love the reaction on the new wavers' faces when Adam busts in the scene!

    Excellent version!

  • this is really a great version

  • that really looks like amanda donohoe in the video at 2.40..

  • Yeah this was on a certain pressing of the vinyl album. You can recognize it by the number pressed between the outro grooves in the middle. Can't remember what the number was though :)

  • adam and the ants!!! decouverte extraordinaire dans l'emission top of the pops debut 80! trop cool!

  • so this was on vinyl? i have about 15 lp's no sign of this one....

  • This is the better version. He was sexy.

  • adam rocks!!!!

  • horny devil..

my dear mum used to say'what a lovely polite lad'

wasnt quite what I was thinking!!!!!!

  • i love this song. lol its the only version i've herd tho haha.

  • Very cool. thanks, Carty!

  • Love Adam Ant!!!

  • I like the alternative mix!
