This is one fine tune! And it holds the memories of a teenager without a care in the world, having one hell of a great time. Saw Joe perform during that period of time and let me say, that man puts on a great show. You gotta love him. He's Joe.
Absolutely, one of the Best Tunes Mr. Fuckin' Walsh has ever cranked out. Plain & Simple. That covers ALOT of territory I realize, Just don't know how anything would be much better.......The Whole Album Smokes, Thanks alot for the post.
I wore this album out on my Technics turntable in the 80's. I went and got another one. I have pretty much everything Joe did on vinyl. and to Mr Joey my late brother Dean and I used to rock this in his 65 Red Valiant convertible on his under dash 8 track player! I stiil feel the same way hearing it today! Never will there be music this good again. It is'nt even replicated this well these days
...check my myspace...the link is on my Youtube...can't post here...have just a great new exclusive interview with Tommy Stephenson in the blog online...we hope you enjoy...
Joe Walsh in this picture looks so much like my Ex. The funny thing is, I enjoy listening to Joe Walsh because of my Ex! haha! What an Oxymoron! It doesn't matter. Joe Walsh is great to listen to, always has been! Thanks for posting! Thanks so much! :-))
Does'nt Joe still hold the record for vertical stories travelled by a tv on it's way to the hotel pool? And right on about the eaglets;Joe single-handedly rocketed them to super stardom...
that was 1980 this is 74' 75'.... your a little off, but im sure if you rail some oxycodone and turn up your speakers you will get feelin a little better, smoke some weed its a great potentiator for the oxy it will increase the effects and make em last longer, drink like 4 beers also, your codones will last longer this way, moderation baby....moderation......
Released Dec'74. Great album and this track was one of the best. 35 years later and I still play at least one song from this album every time I pick up a guitar. Still, my favorite Joe song to play is Funk 49. That's just pure fun. Joe doesn't get his props as a solo artist/songwriter/guitar player. You can't do the 70's without Joe!
followed by but seriously folks, there goes the neighborhood and the smoker you drink the player you get (all tied in my opinion)
buy the best of the james gang that covers alot....just stay away from anything eagles that doesnt include the great joe walsh......your friends will think your a jerk off otherwise.....and you dont want that im sure..
Cheers, Man. My intro to joe walsh was YCAWASM, and its that supperbb live/studio album of 6 songs that i was to listen to all Joe measured from that, from then out. His "Walk Away" on YCAWASM is a Tour de Force. I still have my vinyl YC somewhere.. i'll frame it if find it.
Joe has something in common with Pink Floyd- they both like those laid back tempos. They're in no hurry; just let the groove develop at it's own pace.
Your observation of Walsh is mainly why I love this guy. His groove is smooth, flowing and melodic. This song and Country Fair demonstrates this well.
I used to hear Chris Cross do this tune live back in 1978. His cover band was called "Heather Black" back then. Unbelievable! What a great song, it translates great live.
This should be the theme song for the occupy/99% movement. If you think life aint easy, welcome to the 99 club!
