  • This should be the theme song for the occupy/99% movement. If you think life aint easy, welcome to the 99 club!

  • Great track and album, thx for posting.

  • LOOOOVE IT!

  • This is one fine tune! And it holds the memories of a teenager without a care in the world, having one hell of a great time. Saw Joe perform during that period of time and let me say, that man puts on a great show. You gotta love him. He's Joe.

  • @Msdistarr RIGHT ON BROTHER- SAME GREAT MEMORIES!!!!

  • Great album which I bought n 1975 in Aachen Germany, coz I lived close to the border at that time!

  • Absolutely, one of the Best Tunes Mr. Fuckin' Walsh has ever cranked out. Plain & Simple. That covers ALOT of territory I realize, Just don't know how anything would be much better.......The Whole Album Smokes, Thanks alot for the post.

  • @kneapoe51

The middle guitar riff is what makes this song.

  • @beyondonethousand Agreed my friend. It's a Killer........

  • 8-Track, vinyl, cassette, and cd

  • does any one have a good video of this??

  • does any one have a good video of this??

  • Can't get over how great Joe is.

  • @hippieMANIAK

This one is a close second to the BOA 197Os songs; "County Fair."

  • thanks, Melanei!

  • Can anyone tell me where to snag the cover art from this album?

  • Presidents for Joe Walsh

  • The player you drink,

    The smoker you get

  • @SFMedic300F1

    Exactly!

  • gives me chicken skin

  • 1975- late fall, smokin a joint with 2 friends down by the brandywine river, gettin ready to go in the army.....fuckin "A"

  • I had it on vinyl too but my x moved away and took it with him, I'd had it since High School... 1979.. He's really heartless.

  • I wore this album out on my Technics turntable in the 80's. I went and got another one. I have pretty much everything Joe did on vinyl. and to Mr Joey my late brother Dean and I used to rock this in his 65 Red Valiant convertible on his under dash 8 track player! I stiil feel the same way hearing it today! Never will there be music this good again. It is'nt even replicated this well these days

  • Sounds like Rocky Mountain Way.

  • Some of the best R&R music ever made.

  • One of the best albums EVER!!!

  • @djmom2

Yep, they don't make these gems of songs anymore. What fortune for us to reminice and enjoy.

  • ...

  • IN 1975 MY OLDER BROTHER SAMMY R.I.P. JUST GOT HIS DRIVER LICENCE WE WOULD BORROW MY FATHERS CAR AND LISTEN TO THIS ON 8 TRACK.

  • @Mrjoeypunkrock

Ahh! Days gone by. Good memories to associate with your dearly departed brother.

Keep those moments in your heart my friend.

  • @beyondonethousand THANK YOU ..

  • Presidents for Joe Walsh....

  • Hey, I have this on vinyl too!!  It's a great album. Haha! Wish I had a player! :- }

  • I used to listen to this album over and over.. (deliberate pun for all you JW fans)..

  • ...check my myspace...the link is on my Youtube...can't post here...have just a great new exclusive interview with Tommy Stephenson in the blog online...we hope you enjoy...

  • i like his sound and sensibilities. it all sounds so epic

  • A bit more than 2 chords and harder to play right than it sounds. But a great song writer can make a lot with a great riff.

  • i nominate joe for king of the united states of america. til' he just gets tired of it! : )

  • Any one got tabs?

  • @hjkggadsfd lol

  • @ReneODeay haha i know its like 2 chords but the solo

  • Absolutely right, good music is good music.

  • Joe Walsh in this picture looks so much like my Ex. The funny thing is, I enjoy listening to Joe Walsh because of my Ex! haha! What an Oxymoron! It doesn't matter. Joe Walsh is great to listen to, always has been! Thanks for posting! Thanks so much! :-))

  • @naumnn Why would you date or marry someone that looks like Joe?????

  • Does'nt Joe still hold the record for vertical stories travelled by a tv on it's way to the hotel pool? And right on about the eaglets;Joe single-handedly rocketed them to super stardom...

  • This is a great album!

They've got the place surrounded. There ain't nobody home.

    Welcome to the club...

  • Just brutal drumming . . .

  • how so?

  • Note that the intro to this song is very similar to the intro to the Eagles song "Heartache Tonight", recorded 5 years later.

    Great song & lyrics.

  • i have this on vinyl.

  • @bigtoe1111 I have this album on an Edison wax cylinder ~~~ NARF !

  • @bigtoe1111 I used to cut coke on the album cover. I don't do that anymore. True story. Drugs and chillin to Joe Walsh went hand and hand.

  • JOE WALSH FOR PRESIDENT!!!

  • @hazydays100 ??? Don't scare me! :-)))

  • Good God Almighty, I LOVE THIS TUNE!

  • i do too, man . the best on the album. very raw.

  • I truly love this song myself as well. The middle laid back little solo is fantastic.

  • One of the great underestimated solo musicians, as well as Joe Vitale. Thanks for posting!!!

  • welcome to the club YO!!!! ;D

  • 100% fucking solid.

    Walsh is a genius.

  • was't this joe walsh for president circa?

  • that was 1980 this is 74' 75'.... your a little off, but im sure if you rail some oxycodone and turn up your speakers you will get feelin a little better, smoke some weed its a great potentiator for the oxy it will increase the effects and make em last longer, drink like 4 beers also, your codones will last longer this way, moderation baby....moderation......

  • hahahahha... Love it !!!!

  • Awesome Song......Love the album

  • Released Dec'74. Great album and this track was one of the best. 35 years later and I still play at least one song from this album every time I pick up a guitar. Still, my favorite Joe song to play is Funk 49. That's just pure fun. Joe doesn't get his props as a solo artist/songwriter/guitar player. You can't do the 70's without Joe!

  • what a great tune...start to finish..start to feel the rub...you know it isnt easy........

  • Probably my favorite solo album of his.

    (The apex)

    LIked The James Gang too.

  • Na, on second though I like Barnstorm just as much. I just can't make up my little mind.

  • They did come out with Rocky Mountain Way, among others. But the James Gang has more on their shoulders

  • barnstorm is number 1

followed by but seriously folks, there goes the neighborhood and the smoker you drink the player you get (all tied in my opinion)

buy the best of the james gang that covers alot....just stay away from anything eagles that doesnt include the great joe walsh......your friends will think your a jerk off otherwise.....and you dont want that im sure..

  • Cholula, have you ever heard the album You cant argue with a sick mind, by Joe Walsh?

  • point takin.....

takin the way i taked it

    your kool...

  • Cheers, Man. My intro to joe walsh was YCAWASM, and its that supperbb live/studio album of 6 songs that i was to listen to all Joe measured from that, from then out. His "Walk Away" on YCAWASM is a Tour de Force. I still have my vinyl YC somewhere.. i'll frame it if find it.

  • look, don"t forget "you can't argue with a sick mind

  • Joe has something in common with Pink Floyd- they both like those laid back tempos. They're in no hurry; just let the groove develop at it's own pace.

  • Your observation of Walsh is mainly why I love this guy. His groove is smooth, flowing and melodic. This song and Country Fair demonstrates this well.

  • I used to hear Chris Cross do this tune live back in 1978. His cover band was called "Heather Black" back then. Unbelievable! What a great song, it translates great live.

  • Takes me back to the hot UK Summer of 76. Yes, we have a good Summer now and again. Love Joe's music of this era. Thanks for the posting.

  • Obviously a Nugent Fan...... Great Tune. Definitely a 5!

  • Oops.... I meant a WALSH fan - (I had Nugent cranked on a CD in the background)

  • been here

  • Nice

  • R&R JW! this cats an icon!

  • Thanks so much for posting this! Hated it when they took off the live footage ... love this song. Joe rocks so much, absolutely!
