I was at this concert. It was a fantastic show. The Philharmonic was a very nice touch....it was hard to hear them on some songs, but there were a few where they blended nicely. The big treat of the night was when they played Tel Aviv.
@durmonkee Yes! Tel Aviv was a great surprise! That's what I should have recorded! Be sure to watch the Unstaged concert tonight. Looking forward to what David Lynch does.
That piece of music is from the bit of the movie where Bond and Stacey have dinner at her house - it's called 'Wine With Stacey'. They should have used the big fanfare from when he's carrying her down the ladder from the burning city hall just before Duran Duran came on.
Yes, they do play the melody of the theme song while he's coming down the ladder but it's a different piece of music, more of a fanfare, heroic piece of music than this romantic arrangement.
You could be right, I like throuought the whole movie the song can be heard, after the Eiffel Tower scene a river boat cruise is crashed and they are playing the song in Dixie Land style
Yes, I like when they bring the theme song into the score too. Actually, I'd never noticed that the band on the river boat were playing the theme song. I had to stick the DVD on to hear it. I've probably seen that movie a hundred times and never noticed. Thanks for that!
Hi. Glad you liked it! Sorry, but no. I think I just got tired of holding the camera and wanted to dance and sing! It was a cool show though. Was excited when the orchestra started out on this one. Most of the songs you couldn't really hear the orchestra backing them.
I'd love to hear a studio of this.

The Symphony didn't play on on all of the songs, they kicked in after a few songs at the beginning, and sat out a couple more towards the end.

This concert was seriously incredible! Wish the boys would do this type of collaboration again! Can't wait to see the 2011 tour!
