  • hi ,

i like to say that , i have better design for the nuclear fusion reactor ,.

    esam gad

  • I hope you aren't using my rendering as comprehensive for the design of ITER. There is much more complexity to the system than is visible here.

  • @SyrinxSean lol

  • So was this video rendered using POV ray? Or did you use the Visit renders and use POV ray in some other interesting way?

I see you can save visit images as pov inputs.

  • I did a LOT of things to make this movie. First, I brought the CAD model into VisIt and exported as POV. I then did the same for each timestep of the RF simulation (repeats forever). Once I had those sets of geometry exported, I had VisIt dump out the camera data for 1000 frames of a cubic spline flying through the reactor. I used those camera coordinates in a python script that converted each into a POV...

  • ... camera. That final script is what I used to do the POV render. It would take the frame number, calculate what the correct POV camera would be, import the CAD geometry, import the appropriate field geometry, and then render. I can't recall now how much scripting was done in Python and how much was done in POV "language".
