  • HEY! awesome video, I'm doing the EXACT same thing to my old 'PHAT HEAD' bmx, stripped it down, prepped and painted frame(black), prepped and painted handle bars(black), prepped and painted steering head, brake levers and crank (red), rebuilt crank bearings, rebuilt head bearings, new tyres, new chain, new pedals, all i have to get now is some new brake cable and handle grips and I should have my video up soon :D

  • i love doing stuff like this. people dont understand that just cuz a bike is broken doesnt make it useless.

and to the haters saying its a shitty bike. fuck off cuz its a project bike. just cuz mommy and daddy have money to buy u complete bikes doesnt give u the right to talk shit

  • good job dude keep it up.THUMPS UP

  • how crap people saying its good u dont know anything

  • Awesome work!

  • I like it nice jon mate nice song to

  • lot better ill admit

  • Nice job dude, keep up the good work!

  • that looks great make more i enjoi ur vids

  • dude thats sick i like your work i like the black and white

  • Just restored the exact same bike. Despite its looks its pretty good,

  • Hello I have a question I want to sand my forks and keep them chrome what kind of clear coat should i use to stop it from rusting?

  • @TheKid254921 if you sand them they wouldnt be chrome , they would be raw .

  • @XxHeAdSh0TzOo yea but what clear coat would i put on them so they wont rust

  • ale zjebany

  • it actually looks like a pretty good bike from the side lol

  • i sprayed my bike but the paint ran. :(. how could i save it coz it looks shit now

  • @mrkeiffus1111 Sand off the paint in those areas and re-paint.

  • Holy shit great job!

  • how much gloss

  • When you want to spray a bike you need alot of time! you need to sand the whole bmx specially in the tiny corners otherwise the new paint is very weak or falls of when you paint your bike you always need to sand it and you cant spray it over the old paint ( its falling of ) and for a nice result you need primer and when you spray the primer you need to sand the primer again whole the bike with scotch brite and sand the structure away of the primer

  • @TheGRGMusic you need to do that twice but if the first time the primer does cover the bike it isnt necesarry ( almost not possible to cover it in one time and scotch briteing it)

and when you did alll that you can finally paint it with a color you like in a room with minimum dust and flies or anything that will screw your painting.

when you painted the bike the painting is very weak the best way from building it is just let the painting rest for a week and then gently put the bike togheter.

  • @TheGRGMusic SORRY FOR BAD ENGLISH BTW IM DUTCH ANd I WORK IN A GARAGE WHERE THEY DO PAINTING TO SO ( PAINTED MY BIKE 2 )

  • do u have to put a primer on the bike before u paint it or ca u just spray on top of old paint

    plaese reply :)

  • @iiFaY3d READ MY REACTION ABOVE AN WHOLE INSTRUCTION HAHA :D

  • damn nice dude, believe it or not.... i did this stuff with old walmart bikes that my uncle stole when i was 8 :D?

  • all these how to videos suck, why not talk and explain the process. bullshit editing and half ass before / after photos do very little in helping anyone learn a thing about how to paint a bike frame yourself. i guess it's more important to look cool?

  • what did you clean the tires with?..

  • hard bike after

  • I don't like the bike, but nice improvement, thumbs up from me (:

  • very nice white paint :D What is song name ?

  • Hey i have a question guys. Do you know when i primer the bike can i just leave it like that and not spray paint it what would happen? What i mean is when i want to spray it i just sand it and primer it then put it back together and ride like that would anything bad happen? if so can you tell me what please? thanks.

  • @zeshybadboy Primer is almost the same thing as flat (non-glossy) paint. Nothing bad will happen. People do it 2 their cars (integras, civics, chevelles etc) all the time. Just be sure to give it a coat, let it dry and give it another coat. Maybe even 3 wouldn't be bad.

  • @taitheguy85 Thank you very much i was waiting for a reply for a week and your the only one who gave it thanks very much appreciated. :))

  • @taitheguy85 Thanks

  • Looks GOOD but its not as good as what i do because i own a little buisiness and have done 32 bikes. Thumbs up 2 u!

  • wow looks really good and for everyone whos hating is the people who cant ride worth shit and scrood there bike up whyle painting it so just dont listen to them

  • did your wife leave you?

  • cool as fuck!

  • what year is taht bike??

  • wow! only imature twits would put down what you did there. nice job.thanks for sharing.

  • Currently doing this with a 2003 Haro Backtrail X1. You did a fine job with the Diamondback. Many might say mine is a pos too. But consider this 2003 it was MSRP @ $ 200-350 depending upon an X1, 2 or 3 model. The Haro is 100% chromoly frame, 1 pc crank & fork. Fast forward to 2011, MSRP for Haro models that are 100% chromoly, brakeless $ 490 and the 500 series is $ 580, 590 & 600 for a .1, .2 or .3 model. My 2003 was a freebie. Less than $ 50 paint job, guess the bike isn't a pos after all ?

  • @jgcamp99 Also, in 2011 for $ 200-490 today, you'll either be riding 100% hi-ten frame & fork or some combination of hi-ten & chromoly, whether it be the down tube, fork or whatever else. The BMX I have weighs roughly 30 lbs, a middleweight in today's lineup of options. Sure it has the 44/16 gearing, but 25/9 is roughly the same gear inches, so it's not going to be any slower. 20" tires are a little fatter x 2.25 (front) & 2.10 (rear). Those can be replaced for thinner tires very easily too.

  • sanding does take a long time :\

  • oh my god you're an artist!!

  • nice

  • get a dk 4 pack or a dk 6 pack i have a dk 4 pack and it was $850 australian money with about $1000 in parts on it the bike is called dk 4 pack is because it like the 4 pack dirt jumps and 8 pack dirt jumps

  • Regardless of what it is, it just shows what a little elbow grease will do a put a smile on a little kids face for his first bike. GOOD JOB! My 8 year old has had a 16" tank Mongoose for the last year. Today he got a Redline Junior with 1-1/8" rims and it weighs about 14 pounds. But he appreciated the crap mongoose while he had it.
