When I got busted by the RCMP. Four different cops lied in their notes and in court to push me into a plea deal and not have a jury trial for my weed garden. In their defense though, one RCMP wrote a letter to the judge saying he believed I was of good character and should not go to jail. You could tell some of the other cops were pissed. They're not all bad, just most.

Take Australia for example. In 1996 Australia banned all guns and the citizens of Australia had to turn in their guns to the government. The next year homicides increased by 3.2%, assaults increased by 8.6% and armed robbery increased by 44%.

You don't need permit to enter the collegial program, but need the emergency vehicle permit class to enter the academy.

@squidvis The reason crime increased is because the criminals didn't have to worry if the owner of the house they were going to rob had a .44 magnum. They only had to worry about cops. Now if we take cops out of the equation like the scenario we were discussing earlier then criminals could do anything they wanted and law abiding citizens like us wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

@squidvis Well I don't know what happened down under but here those numbers are very low. And lot's of those guns that are illegaly sold here are from the US or Russia. So it's the loosed rules of the US that make criminals able to get guns in here. If guns were outlawed everywhere,then criminals wouldn't be able to get there hand on them. What do you have to do to become a cop in the US? Judging by documentations and stories, there's way more bully-style cops in the US than anywhere else. I don't get it. I never encountered one of these here in EU.
Sure, auxiliaries are always pissed, but they are employed by security companies and have to call real police for anything besides writing tickets and screaming at people.
What's so different here in Europe? Is it the gun laws?

@prozacpacman Damn, that almost nothing, here in my part of Canada it is a 3 years collegial police formation (which high rate of refusal, due to contingency, whole lot of test and background check you got to pass, only program with higher refusal are thing like medicine), then a formation at the police academy (no idea of the length of that one). That just for basic officer.
You don't need permit to enter the collegial program, but need the emergency vehicle permit class to enter the academy.

I bike ride to work and back because I can't afford to drive, late one night while bike riding home on the wrong side of the road(the only side with streetlights and a continuous wide shoulder) a oncoming car swerved off the road and hit me that was on the shoulder of the road.
