  • it just doesn't look the same without actually turning all those knobs yourself.

  • @ironpizza True, but it is LOTS cheaper. :)

  • Weird, Crazy, Outer-Worldy, Cosmic, Way Out Sounds of the popular and famous Arturia ARP V Series of mind-bogging aural experiences - stupendous! Just buy or listen to these Amazing YouTube examples...Enjoy.....

  • I love artoria stuff, used them for years....ive decided to sell my 6 artoria synths....need to sell as 1 package as the licence for all 6 synths is on 1 dongle

  • i really LOVE the entire v series.. i dont have a synth...but im in the market for one..im deffinatly getting the v series..but what keyboard should i purchase? should i just go ahead and get the orgin keyboard they make?

  • @dm3857 Never played the Origin - it is a lot of money. If you plan to run the software instruments on a computer, check out the Arturia Analog Experience (search for this at the Musicians Friend website, for example). Or, get the Arturia instruments, along with any MIDI controller.

  • @dm3857 I'll tell you this much I bought the Arturia collection for 399$ originally 499$ at Guitar Center. Online Price Match* comes with 6 boards and 1 collective analog board which has a few drum samples on it. Best purchase of my life hands down it has alot of capabilities and great potential for house had it for a month been reading the manuals and just barely got some results that I enjoy but if your patient these plugins, although not original boards can work magic in your studio.

  • @darkchocolatepage Windows and Macs, I am using Digital Performer, should work with most anything, check the Arturia website and/or forums.

  • Great sounds - love the way you can create so much with a few little twists here and there. The sequencer is awesome. Bass sounds are cool

  • @tjjohn1001 I agree with you completely. It's all about making the best music you can with the instruments you have. These Arturia softsynths are fine instruments in their own right... 99% of the people out there (including me) have never played a real 2600 so the accuracy of the emulation is a moot point.

  • I uninstalled the program a year ago ... now when you install it again an error message appears: Please insert the original CDROM, what happens?

  • Great demo. What kind of controller are you using?

  • @raven012000 Thanks, it is an older model M-Audio Oxygen controller.

  • Great demo I may now get one

  • what kind of music would ou make with this

    ?

  • @coolchris303 Whatever kind you want. :)

  • @coolchris303 wat the specific sounds he is using or the entire

virtual synth .... um i genre experiment .... so i dont have no set style of what id use it for but ... shoot id use this for so much ... think i might download it and try out tho... love modular analog synths

  • Great video! Are you taking it from a preset in the collection or did you build the sound from scratch?

  • There are mostly presets in the videos I make because the intent is for people to hear what these things sound like out of the box. Putting original patches in videos results in people asking me to send them out, which gets a little time consuming.

  • Great stuff Michael.. you make even an experienced k/b player envious ;P Can I just ask what are the ARp2600 presets your using in this vid, you don't even seem to be changing them throughout the Vid. Whats the one at 3min, and which controller on the ARP is being adjusted with the knobs.. sounds truly awesome, sooo deep and fat!

  • Thanks, sorry, but having made this nearly two years ago I have no idea what sounds I was using. But there's a whole preset bank of these sequenced things, and the last time i checked there was a playable demo of the program that could be downloaded from the Arturia site. It's in there somewhere... I am just tweaking the filter freq and resonance parameters...

  • My most favourite preset is GTD_transport it sounds beautiful.

  • Can you tell me a bit about synthesizers? Does this 2600 have to have a computer running on it? please just tell me a bit about the requirements

  • It's a software synthesizer, so it runs on a computer. Look up "software synthesizer" on Wikipedia and read all about them.

  • @MinusGorgon originally (20/30 years ago) the 2600 was an instrument witch doesn't need any computer. Today, there is software synth that emulate the same functions of the old 2600 (and also other instruments).

  • While I'm sure this software is a very enjoyable tool, not a single thing I've heard here sounds like an ARP 2600.

  • Comment removed

  • @AutomaticGainsay Try checking out Way Out Ware's TimewARP 2600. Most ARP 2600 purists prefer that software

  • Hi Kybrdwizrd,

This is from the Arturian Analog Factory, correct?

  • I believe the Analog Factory contains sounds from this softsynth, but this is just the regular 2600V instrument.

  • Wow!!

In your opinion, soft sound like a hardware synths? or hardware is best? Thanks!

  • Many people find that software synths can come very close to sounding like hardware synths. But only you can decide which is best for your ears.

  • Nice computer setup!

  • From: Tangerine Dream

    To: Bliss

  • This is great. I suppose that a good midi controller with assignable knobs and sliders can do fantastic job when it comes to control of parameters. Well done. Thank you for sharing this clip. I am a big fan of analog synths. Keep up the good work, I enjoy your videos. Have a great day.

  • Cool, Thanks.

  • Do the usb keyboards with the knobs on them what do they do, and are they better then the ones without the knobs?

  • The knobs can be configured to control various parameters on softsynths, which can be easier to use than using your mouse and the computer.

  • I thought you had reason rack here in the back but still you have a good knowledge for synths and how they work.

  • yes i agree

    midi controllers are really fun!!!

    i have the mid-air by m audio

    its awsomes

  • awesome
