Selznick and Hitchcock were both geniuses. Selznick was addicted to speed. His memos were legenday. His son Daniel said that after Selznick's death, various universities wrote to him asking for the Selznick papers. He said sure you can have them but there are 3 million pages of memos. They thought it was a typo. Many of those memos were carbon copies to various people but imagine if even 1% were original Selznick. That's about 75 regular books. It was probably closer to 5 or 10% Selznick
