  • his best performance for this piece.

  • I'm speechless!!! His fingers are so fast just like a woodpecker!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Only thing I really care is the pedal...

  • sooo precise. better than many versions of this piece

  • Incredible finger technique , no words

  • I like the part from 0:00 to 4:44

  • Free notes of this piece you will find in : FREEMUSICBOOKS . COM (there many notes for free!!!)

  • Esse cara é bom ! This guy is the man !!

  • Which is easiest? La campanella, Heroique Polonaise, Hungarian Rhapsody no 2.

  • @MrAniruddh97

There all hard, but I would say Heroique Polonaise from Chopin.

  • @MrAniruddh97 Heroique Polonaise, probably. so much technique needed at Hungarian Rhapsody and La Campanella will surely hurt your little finger lol.

  • Adam György is name of my classmate :-D. I swear! But it´s different Adam than this guy :-)

  • Nice piece so Clean...!!!!!

  • That was an amazing performance, I simply love the build-up in this piece. Liszt was a brilliant composer. Gyorgy did a wonderful job.

  • yeah he didn't play the 4th and 5th finger thrill as yundi li did, and he didn't messed that song up as yundi li did.

    yundi li sucks balls.

  • he did not do the 4th and 5th finger thrill like yundi li did, but still, bravo!!

  • Awesomee!!!!!

  • BRAVO!

  • wunderbar gespielt :-)

  • the woman at 4:43 was like "*raise eyebrows* that was my son, huhuhu, stupid people"

  • perfect

  • this piece has some crazy jumps dam!!

  • that was EXTRAORDINARY!

  • sorry but a mistake in 0.49

  • best

  • Holy, holy cow...

  • i could listen to this all day, i wanna TRY and learn it, i prolly can't do it as gud as he can, but i'll try lmfao xD this is what i appreciate about classical music, the fact that it not only sounds beautiful but you have to work hard to be able to do it, it teaches all of us a lesson

  • Can't find a flaw!!!

  • He has an outstanding feel & technique I wonder if he was perhaps infuenced by

Claudio Arrau? His command of the piano and its dynamics are astounding.

Adam Georgy is really gifted; its a privilege and a joy to listen to this.

  • @LQQKINBK Lisista is a robot.

  • @LQQKINBK

I just watched Lisista do this song and she finished 1 second faster... Not sure I would call that lightning fast and this version slow.

  • The entire thing is a masterful performance, but the last minute is like a godlike! I am bummed they didn't show his hands 4:13-4:20, that is my favorite part of the song.

  • Wish I could play this one...

  • relentless

  • I love the sound of this piano. It's so bright..

And his fingers are so fast!!!!!!!!

Sometimes, you can't see them anymore :p

  • magic fingers...

  • der kerl ist göttlich!!

  • but i like very much his expression

  • maybe is missing some sentiment

  • great, really fresh! i like his way of playing, he transmits safety! I like his smile when he is playing, really amazing.

  • Ge played it excelent, but the audio was bad, or the piano was out of tune...sounds flat

  • Wow. This young man is amazing on the black and whites!

  • yay! glad too see this video

    thought it got deleted

what a crazy piece...how do you play it without breaking your wrists???

i've tried and it hurts my wrist when i move my hand back and forth like that

  • Can any one tell me the fingering he is using in the triplet passage from

    1:32 - 1 :50?

  • I believe it is 2, 1, 5.

  • I thought so but thats still real hard (for me) must just be real well practiced i guess.

  • I love how the lady at the end around 4:41 has a look on her face like "meh... that was okay I guess."

  • Comment removed

  • this song feels like Christmas

  • His slur and legato articulation at 1:53 is one of the most beautiful and astounding things I've ever seen another human being do.

  • i like played this way rather than short and choppy

  • I totaly agree with you.The short and choppiness i could do without. i like his version much better

  • adik ka!!! youre so good!!!

    Damn!!!

  • This is the best performance of this song ive heard and its not to fast nor to slow its just rigth and it sounds so beautiful

  • i have to say this is by far the best performance for this song ive seen so far =]

  • technically perfect, a delicious performance for a very difficult piece

  • Técnica muito boa, gostei muito e vai para os meus favoritos

  • yes he has a very good finger technic to play this song. It sounds very great ( and i like it more like the kissin version, too )

  • just great!

  • Comment removed

  • at the end i actually started clapping lol

  • i think its great that they show the hands and not the face 90% of the time. thank you

  • I think this video touched me very much. It felt like something was growing. Its truly very beautiful. Anyone who criticizes it should just fuck off.

  • How do you know that it wasn't deliberate on his part? I've never heard any concert musician play entirely error free. Adam is a master of all Liszt compositions...and he's known to make some "mondifications" on the fly. I find his playing to be very exhilarating.

  • i think mistakes are alowed

  • cziffra is the god of this

  • Éljenek a magyarok.

    Gyönyörű Liszt Ferenc mű

  • Hasn't it mistakes.

  • ok that killed me...just look at his fingers!!!it's so freaking awesome!i prefer him to kissin, honestly!

  • yeah it's better than the Kissin recording of this. So amazing.

  • oha, awesome!!!

  • wicked, man..

  • If this was slower it would have been like 12 minutes. lol

  • This is the best performance of La Campanella on Youtube. Kissin rushes through the piece, making too many mistakes. Yundi Li plays it great, but what makes Adam Gyorgy's the best is the incredibly strong finish. Beautiful.

  • Evgeny played it as an encore. It wasn't planned, obviously.

  • Really? That is surprising because it certainly outclasses the others and I can't detect a single mistake, (as opposed to Rubinstein's, Kissin's, or Li.)

  • Did you reply to the right person? As that doesn't make sense if you replied to mine...

  • This is MAnx:

I was commenting on how brilliant this rendition is, considering it wasn't planned.

  • I was on about Evgeny, not Adam.

  • Oh.. But I saw a bit shortly before the performance, and I saw him practicing.

  • So did I. Right, maybe it was planned :P (Sorry, my mistake) but it was still an encore.

  • Yes.

  • Actually, now I'm not quite sure.

  • Correct notes at 0:20, 0:21, 0:22, 0:23, 0:24, 0:25, 0:26

  • It's a correct note's.

  • so what ?????

  • It's really wonderful!

  • 1:18 - 1:30 ... : / its not good interpretation I think

  • Stunning

  • who the fuck cares?! go bother someone else

  • People who value great performances also value sensible critique. I dont see anything wrong with chrono's response whether he's right or not.

  • whatever, thats not a sensible critique, its nitpicking for errors.

  • 1:52 O_O

  • how do u practice this piece without getting injured...?? great, honest sound. so unaffected.

  • Like my statement qualifies it as such, but this performance speaks for itself... AMAZING. I like how he didn't really rush the music like so many others seem to do... I wonder how Liszt himself played it.... wish I could go back in time...

  • Wow, I haven't heard one version of this that is so clear at 4:08-4:10!

  • ich like yundi lis´s interpretation better

  • Number one man! Awesome production, Liszt was the best composer ever

  • It is sort of hard for one to realize that when one says a particular rendition of a piece is the best, they have to recognize that ones it would have to compare to. Gyorgy has better tone color than Yundi Li and doesn't make his blunders. Gyorgy has better tone color, a more even tempo, and doesn't make nearly as many mistakes, (if any), as Kissin did. Other than that, he just seems to put more emotion in this piece than any other rendition that I've heard or seen.

  • What really makes this rendition stand out above of the others is the tone color, (or knowing exactly how loud each not should sound.)

  • very nice...

  • the finish....pure brilliance ...

  • wowowowowow

  • this is my favourite version by far.

better than his own 2007 interpretation and better than Yundi Li's

  • awesome !!! from Malaysia fan...

  • WOW... he nailed it perfectly...~! BRAVO~!!

  • I'm going as far as anyone can go on commenting on ANY pianist that ever existed on this planet. This man is THE MOST talented pianist God EVER created. Having said that...please provide me a link to prove me wrong here. I am dumbfounded by this young mans extraordinary gift. It's almost unbelievable!

  • He's good, but...

    Vladimir Horowitz

    Franz Liszt

  • Which is why he was made a "Steinway Fellow"...I believe one of only 54 so honored.

  • liszt certainly had great trust in human skills if he ever meant anyone but him to play this xD

  • nagyon jo

  • breath..away..taken

  • Absolutely beautiful playing. Bravo.

  • This is just amazing.. I tried but I cannot even play the beggining with one hand..

  • he is the best of all ather camprella players

  • oh wow! you gotta be kidding me!

    this is like,

wow, are you sure you didn't speed up the video or something? ha, i'm just kidding but still,

    this is fantastic :D

  • im learning how to play it!

  • good luck!

  • so am I.

and, indeed I need lots of luck

  • the clearest and most vivid staccato la campanella i have heard...^_^well done.

  • I like this version, even though it's not my favorite. I find this pianist to be the most articulate of all I've heard, clearest staccato that is caused by lifting each finger a long way. Not my favorite but very good, definitely world class level.

  • such delicate virtuosity, bravo!!

  • hey, this guy is pretty good.

  • hahahaha!!i love this piece!i have a friend who can play this piece and he's only like 13!he is so amazing!

  • record him playing this piece and upload it on youtube ;)

  • for history the original Song is by paganini violin concerto no2

  • This is my favorite interpretation of this song. He's very calm. <3

  • ridiculous...

    in a good way....lol

  • God, your hands must ache after playing that. Just amazing.

If I start practicing now, I wonder if I'll be able to play that by the time I'm...I dunno, 40? ;/

  • It's it the forearm muscles that kill you

  • Stunningly beautiful ...

  • man it takes alot of cordination and alot of speed and also techinque

Franz liszt: The best of the best, one of the best pianist out of all history.

And Adam: Man all i can say you probally mastered his techinques, all i can say is this "Marvelous!"

  • Kicked some arse!!!!

  • Amazing performance! I didn't realize it was "live" until the end which makes it even way more impressive as any nerves at all can shatter a piece as difficult and exposed as this.

  • Think it is a bit funny all these people asking how long would take to learn a piece like this. Question is very subjective and also depends on how well you expect to play it! In order to play as well as this would take both several years of serious study and a lot of serious talent.

  • yea.. i wanted to play this.. this is my 4th year playing piano with no teacher lol... just some help on sight reading (i suck on theory and technique) so i decided to play 20 pieces.. lol and leave this for like the 100th.. cuz its just ridiculous. He could've pushed himself at the end.. by just a millionth of a second.. and this would've been the best i've ever heard.

  • pure genius

  • I want to learn this song and play it just like him

  • good luck finding the lyrics. Haha

  • The sheets? They aren't hard to find at all.

  • He was pedantically referring to warkidn's use of the word "song."

  • OH I SEE, hahaha that's actually really funny....

  • unhuman speed...

  • essa música é MUITO rápida. tem umas partes q sódá pra ve a sombra da mão dele indo 0.0

  • i love his interpretation.

  • I believe this is the hardest song ever written. Jumping your hands so far all the time its incredibly hard. I can't wait to learn it.

  • yeah it sure is one of the hardest but i think there is no "hardest song" because there are different ways of difficulties. =) have fun

  • How long should you be playing until you attempt this song.

  • you mean the time before starting the song or the time from starting to your "aim"? How long do you practice a day?

  • The time before starting the song.

  • depends on how long you practice(ed)I think you should have minimum ~3 years (personally its my 10th now ^^) but that only if you practice 1-2 hours daily. The campanella itsself took me 3 months to my aim with practicing 3-4 hours on average..

  • what i have to add:3-4 hours daily but not only campanella ^^

  • It's not a song. Refer to it as a piece, work, composition, or number.

  • maybe not, but you're a real grump

  • lol

  • why does it really matter?

thats the sort of pompous attitude that gives classical music such an undeserved reputation as being some sort of 'higher art' only accessible to the 'culturally refined' and puts off many young people who could actually get enjoyment from it.

  • that it is

  • he played this last night.. it was actually flawless.. amazing!

  • no offense to anyone, but I still think Li Yundi plays a little better, but still Adam Gyorgy is an amazing pianist.

  • Amazing.

  • wow, such clarity in his playing, yes the tempo was a bit slow but hey, this is the first time I get to hear every single note, maybe this is the correct tempo for campanella. I think I'll kidnap this guy and have him play this for me every day.

  • this is way better than Kissin's, way more spirit.

  • György owns kissin

  • very musical, and extremely accurate, however his speed is just a bit too slow, but i would rather have him play it accurately rather than quick and mistakes everywhere. Still the Kissin recording is my favorite so far.

  • totalmente PERFECTO.

    Saludos desde Lima Perú

  • just perfect!

  • omg! amazing!I spent an year learning just a part of it. He is so good and so speedy:P Hard song, but well played. Good job!

  • Yundi and Kissin is better ...

  • Cziffra :)

  • Wouldn't life be better if you appreciated talent in general rather than comparing them?

  • and kissin is a genius, he cat be compared too easily =). Of corse he is better but he is way too far.. at another level..

  • 'Yundi ad Kissin ARE better.' Grammer, please.

Gyorgy's interpretation of this piece is much more interesting and clean. I performed this piece in college so I've heard it 'a few' times and this one is so much more fun to listen to than the other two. Just my opinion. You're definitely entitled to yours as well....

  • God bless this man's hands! Wow, amazing!

  • Its so AMAZIINGG!!!
